This is a beautiful, poignant and intense collection of short stories. Diverse and wide ranging, there is substance and sensitivity here that can’t help but move the reader. Linda has a truly individual voice that is at once mischievous, humorous and chilling. She also has a remarkable eye for detail and a gift for creating emotional depth. There is also a genuine understanding of human nature. Each story has its own world of acutely drawn characters that fly off the page. Subtle but powerful. Sad yet funny. Yearning and heartfelt. This is a writer who deserves to be read and reread. An outstanding, profoundly moving piece of writing.

A very enjoyable book of short stories. A collection of stories that are written with wonderful detailed description and even though the Stories are short each one opens up your imagination and the characters become very real and beleivable within their situation. A mixture of Historical settings to modern day. Linda Flynn writes in a way that flows easily and sentence after sentence draws you into the story using Humour, Emotions and believable situations. I would definitely recommend this book.

What an absolute delight! I was completely engaged in these exquisitely crafted short stories which were colourful and laced with irony and sprinkled with black humour. Linda Flynn took me on a thrilling roller coaster ride of twists and turns and I was dizzy with anticipation. I thoroughly recommend this wonderful anthology; the stories can be re-read repetitively and you will gain ever greater insights and fresh nuances.
