House Claden’Du has continued to grow more and more powerful with my help, even if I am just a “lowly male” in this matriarchal society.
My arsenal of powers also grows larger by the day, and I’ll use every single one of them to make sure my House and my allies get to ascend the Tower of Oshara.
Especially since the lake below seems to be rising…
I truly hope book 5 isn’t the last book, because it will be very rushed and this series is just simply too amazing to be rushed like this. I’m hoping with my whole entire being that this series extends past book 5. Jacobs has done such a magnificent job with this series that it can’t end now. There’s no way that all of this can come to a head in just one book. Fynn hasn’t done anything with his magic yet, hasn’t gotten a staff, explored the wizards market, captured a fallen star, gotten the other sisters pregnant…. I mean he doesn’t even have relations with them… only Tryss, which is shocking enough. He seems to be a one and done guy with a lot of the females… I wouldn’t even say he has a harem. Just one off relationships. But the story has gotten so deep and good I cannot stop reading it. Still, the annoyance is there at the treatment of Fynn from the females of his own house. That’s getting old really fast. Anyways, onwards lads!
More of the same from the first few books, only a they move up on the world they've attracted the gaze of the upper houses. Some new foils, some new potential allies. Fynn starts learning more magic which comes in handy. The women... get maybe a little more to them, but I fear a plateau where they'll never become fully real. Also an odd choke out in a big brawl with various guards... odd choice cause leave yourself wide open from other people I figured he'd have more experience than that. Overall solid like the series. Felt a little flat for me but if you loved the others this should probably still scratch the itch for you.
This was yet another truly exciting foray into the sinister and complex world of the Drow, the levels of intrigue and action in this saga is truly top notch! I eagerly await the next!
One would think that the high council would be smarter than the way they are acting, but we can see that they're not. Fynn is about to show them that are not so smart
This has became my favorite by this author!!!! Unique and interesting use of magic, fantasy activities and characters!!! I for one can't wait for the next book in this series!!!!
