I could not put this fast past, action packed, edge of your seat thriller down. It is honestly one of the most exciting storyline’s I have read in a while. The twist and turns were awesome, and one big twist in particular completely blew my mind because I didn’t see it coming AT ALL!! It was so well done!! There were characters who were relatable and I loved, some who made me laugh out loud, others who I absolutely detested, and some who my heart went out to. I hoped and cheered and panicked for some and wished the worst of the worst for others, while feeling bittersweet heartache for a few who surprised me along the way. This is a must read thriller. Do yourself a favour and get your hands on a copy of this one!!

I haven't read a book as gripping as this in weeks. I loved it. From the first paragraph, the reader is thrown into the action and it literally doesn't stop until the last page. So much drama. I'd have probably read it in a day had I not been working.
The plot is complex and the reader needs to stay alert in order to fully follow the story. There are 2 main stories that seem unconnected for a lot of the book, as well as the story of Helen's anniversary that we see in the prologue. I admit to not remembering who Helen was when her story came back to us and the stories were brought together. I did a loud 'ohhhhhhh' when the penny dropped! Whilst I took longer to connect the subplots, I can only give this book 5 stars as I loved it. Highly recommended and I'll read anything Dan Clark writes from here on in.

What a superb book. Action packed and full on all the way through! Very fast paced (which is what I love most about a thriller!). I loved Dan’s other book the boy in the well so when he asked if I’d like to read the new book to review on pub day I of course said yes! It didn’t disappoint 👏🏻

This was written brilliantly, I think sometimes it’s hard for me to enjoy thrillers as I’ve read so many but I can hands down say this was incredible! When a book sends you in to panic and on the edge of your seat that’s when you know it’s a good one.

The idea of the storyline was great and the twists throughout, a varied range of characters - some you really like and some you absolutely despise and I think that’s what makes it even more exciting!

Loved the dual timelines and discovering how everything comes together and how things link. Brilliantly done and I really recommend!

Thanks so much to Dan for the copy of the book!

Hooked from the start! 👌

Such a varied range of characters, some you love, some you despise! A mystery/crime page turner.

We follow Jess as she navigates her toxic and abusive relationship with her partner, will she ever escape him? Combined with her finding out details about her deceased parents and how they died, was it an accident? Was it planned?

We then have the timeline following a woman kept as a prisoner, bullied, used but still keeps her strength of spirit to hope to one day escape.

Love dual time lines as I feel they keep you guessing. I was eager to see how the time lines merge. It flows really well and I can be a right fussy bugger with books!

Great read! Ended too soon for my liking 🤣Enjoyed the twist at the end!

This was fast paced so easy to read but it just wasn’t very exciting! Considering there are two different people on the run, there is very little suspense!

I absolutely was gripped with Dan’s first book so was so glad to be given the opportunity to read this one. My heart was aching in pain by the time I finished the first chapter there was so much romance and action that I didn’t know what emotion I could possibly feel next. The writing completely flows and you instantly become so invested in the whole scenario. Although I wanted more from Lewis whilst visiting family it didn’t bother me too much as I leaped to the next chapter to the next. The before then straight into the present was absolutely breath taking. A few trigger warnings if you find domestic violence difficult to read.

I instantly took such a liking to Jess and detested Sean and Angela for the ways they treated Jess. But… loved how well the author writes about every character built into the book. The reality that these relationships happen was dark, painful but realistic. You get another story twisted into the one you land on and meet Arina. The author gives you another painful story to follow but one just as deep and gripping. The way the two stories run alongside each other is impressive. I’m so glad the two girls got what they needed to do (no spoilers) you’ll know what I mean when you get to this point.

I couldn’t get over how this book just kept throwing in further twists. I absolutely loved Beth and there was something special about Elliott well I was hoping there would be. I know I keep saying the book throws in further twists but oh my god how the author has managed to make this happen is exceptional. If you love thrillers give this a go. It’s epic. The twists literally keep coming right to the last page and the last few chapters are full of action. I loved this read so much.

This book follows the seperate lives of 2 people - both of which lead completely different lives with different circumstances. Both are very likeable, and both lead horrific lives which is putting it mildly.
Its very fast paced, and there is always something happening, with lots of different twists throughout. Then once you think you have worked it all out, you then get hit with another!
This is exactly how I like my books.
I love discovering new authors, especially when their reads are a very easy 5 stars for me too. Will be looking up this authors previous book to read without a doubt.
Would very happily recommend

A gripping and complex thriller, I'll Find You is an action-packed story full of shocking twists and tonnes of adrenaline.

The opening chapters are some of the most exhilarating I've read and the characters have stuck in my head ever since finishing. The way this story unfolds is just mind-blowing, and I definitely recommend reading this if you like a lot of fast-paced action and a dark crime mystery with standout characters.

Dan Clark is a fantastic writer, and I look forward to seeing what he writes next!

When I say I could not put this down…. I think this is the fastest I’ve ever read a book. From the very beginning this book had me hooked!! So many twists and turns I didn’t see coming.

Dual timelines following Jess and Arina; two women trying to escape their abusive lives ends in the biggest “oh my god” moment I never saw coming!

The most gripping thriller I’ve read for a while with surprises right to the last chapter! Fantastic. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author!

Running may be the only thing that keeps them alive...
Celebrating their wedding anniversary out on a quiet lake, Robert and Helen Harris's night quickly turns from intimate to dealy when they are attacked by an intruder, leaving their young daughter Jess an orphan.
Really good read. Loved the scene on the boat. Little confusing in the first part of the book. Had no clue who Arina damir was. But as I read on it became clear. Very cleverly written. 5*.

Two women. Each with their own story of hardship and wanting to break out of their current situation. When they both take the chance, will it work out for them?

My synopsis is so minimal because I don't want to give anything away but if you love fast moving action packed thrillers, just know that you'll be kicking yourself if you miss this one. I was riveted from the beginning with the alternating storylines. When the story started to put itself together even more, I was shocked. There were so many twists in this book, right up until the last page in fact. If you're after a 5 star book which you can't put down, this is the one. It's available on Kindle Unlimited and is out now.

Thank you so much to the author for a complimentary copy of your book - I have loved both your novels and look forward to reading what you write next.

My first book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. It was a fast paced duel storyline following two stories of Arina and Jess. Both in current time I found both stories intriguing and wondered how they connected. There were a few ideas I had as the story progressed and wasn’t until quite a way into the story a reveal happens that it all fell into place for me. It was a great thriller with a storyline that kept me hooked throughout to find out what happened.

I was very honoured to be asked to be a proof reader for this amazing author. This book had me hooked right from the start. Full of mystery. When the main storyline reveals itself, I was in utter shock at how I didn't realise the correlation before. This is definitely a perfect book if you like crime/mystery!

I really enjoyed this authors last book so was looking forward to reading this. So different from the last book but still another compelling and exciting read, with two distinctive plot-lines. Well written, full of suspense and some great characters made this a page turner for me and I finished it in a day. Both of the main female characters are very likeable and I was rooting for them from the start, the male characters not so much - I would happily push them both off a cliff, one with a very long drop!

Briefly, Jess Harris is orphaned when her parents Rob and Helen are murdered. She is brought up by her aunt, a cold woman who sends Jess off to boarding school. 15 years later Jess has a job but she soon feel cornered into entering a relationship with her boss Sean, who is mentally and physically abusive towards her.
Arina is held prisoner by crime boss Damir who, having used her as a sex slave, now has Jess working for his equally abusive mother as her carer and housekeeper.
Both women run from their abusive relationships and as their tormentors search for them their lives collide…

Full of twists and turns and a couple of massive reveals as the book heads to its end; full disclosure I did guess one of the big reveals due to a couple of little hints in the book but it would have been easy to miss them. A faced paced and very enjoyable read and the two very different plot-lines meet seamlessly at the shocking climax.

Hi friends!! I am a little late to the party for Dan Clark and the publication of his new book I’ll Find You - now available for Kindle and Paperback! I had the HONOR of getting to read this book before it was released and it was so good!!
·
With twists and turns, some asshole male characters, and also some loveable women who have my whole heart; I could not put this book down. Two stories running side by side with page turning thrills and mysteries, I honestly couldn’t figure out the end until I got there - my kind of book!

When invited to this blog tour, I literally jumped at the chance. I was part of Dan Clark's first book tour and loved it. I'll Find You is quite different from his first one and just as good! I couldn't wait to get stuck in and started as soon as I had one spare minute...which turned into much more than that.

From the word go Dan Clark literally threw me into the action which kept on going until the final page. I found it a compelling and gripping read. A plot with two separate storylines that both keep the reader on their toes as they unfold. As with his first book this is just as well written and I found it teeming with suspense too.

I found both female characters easy to like and enjoyed getting to know them both the more I read. As always in a book such as this, there are characters that aren't so nice but that's what makes a good book. Dan Clark has created some great characters that are very vivid in detail. This really kept me reading.

A book that has more than enough twists and turns to keep the reader immersed. I kept thinking I had worked it out and then, bang! I was wrong...again! This is a superb thriller that I was sad to reach the end of. I cannot wait to see what Dan Clark writes next! I will be first in the queue.

Jess is trapped in a violent relationship. When her Aunt dies, she sees an opportunity to escape, if she can be brave enough to take it. Arina is being kept as a slave for a Russian crime family, in particular the vicous, evil witch Matriach. After an incident which leaves her finally unwatched, she also has an opportunity for freedom. Two women, both running, towards freedom or further harm?

Dan Clark is a pro at the twists and turns. This book is full of them! Every time I though I'd worked out what was going to happen, BAM! Another plot twist.
I loved his characters. The two main women were very easy to be supportive of, and the evil grandmother was so easy to hate! What a witch.
I also loved that, as well as the two main characters POVs, he included some chapters from the POV of those on the wrong side. It was really interesting, kept the book fresh.
And what an ending! That has stayed in my head since I finished it and doesn't look like it will be going anywhere soon.

Definite 4 star story. A great read for thriller lovers. Trigger warnings for violence and domestic abuse.

I was lucky enough to receive this book pre-release, and I must say I was incredibly excited as I had loved Dan Clark’s first book the boy in the well.

I’ll find you definitely lives up to his debut book! We start with the death of Robert and Helen Harris then fast forward to 15 years later following the story of their daughter Jess who has fallen into an abusive relationship and finds an opportunity to flee. Alongside Jess’ story we follow Arina, who is kept prisoner by a Russian crime boss and also finds an opportunity to flee. However, sometimes fleeing doesn’t mean you are out of danger!

I loved the two storylines side by side and found myself hooked from page one, there are so many characters, some you love and some you take an instant disliking too.

I also love how I was truly surprised by the twists and I couldn’t guess where the storyline was going to go! Dan has truly written a book that will stay with you long after you have finished it, he is fast becoming one of my top authors and I am always very excited for each release!

This is my new FAVOURITE thriller of the year!!!!

This is a THRILLER!! Like as in, I was on the edge of my seat, dropping the kindle in exasperation, terrified to read on...but could not put this down!!

This is so cleverly executed with the dual storylines which at the start i couldn’t figure out how they were connected but then during the second half of the book it all becomes clear and it all comes together brilliantly in the end.

There are various twists and turns throughout that will have you open-mouthed and I loved the big twist that is delivered right at the end! This one will keep you on your toes and totally gripped that you will not be able to put it down... I promise!!

This is definitely one of the more gruesome thrillers I’ve read which adds to the tension of the book and it is very graphic in a couple of the scenes. I would also advise of the trigger warnings of domestic abuse featured in the book.

This book managed to evoke so many emotions from me, mostly anger and pity but also empathy, hopefulness and love.

What a fast paced book this is!!
I started this book Friday night and it has been in my hand at every given opportunity this weekend as I just needed to know what was going to happen next!
What I really enjoyed about this book is the way Jess and Arina’s stories ran simultaneously throughout the book, and it did actually make me wonder where this book was heading as I couldn’t see a connection…..And then all becomes clear!
The way the author brings this story together is fabulous!
I have to mention the characters in this book. The bad guys are just brilliantly written as they are absolutely vile and horrible which really made me want to see them get their comeuppance, which also then really made me want to fight Jess and Arina’s corner with them!
This book has a fabulous ending too which I’m not saying anything about! 😉

This is the second book by Dan Clark and yet again, it’s one I’ve really enjoyed.

Jess lost her parents when she was a young girl. They were killed aboard a cabin cruiser on Lake Winderme leaving her Aunt Angela to bring her up.

Years later, Jess has a great job in the city and lives with her boyfriend Sean. He has a bad temper and is abusive, both physically and mentally. She dreams of the day when she can escape from him. One day she receives a letter from a solicitor saying her aunt has passed away and left her the house and £7000. This is her chance to escape Sean but it isn't going to be that easy.

Arina is imprisoned by the Kozlovs, Russian drug dealers and money laundering gangsters. Their last home help (slave) was killed as she didn't tow the line. Arina is desperate to escape after years of torment and abuse but this isn't going to be easy either.

Two women, both suffering, both wanting to escape to a better life. If they can escape will they finally be safe or heading into more danger?

📣 Violence, drugs, abuse, rape.

What a roller-coaster reading this fantastic book was! Full of twists and turns, with a brilliant plot, I was hooked from the opening sentence, and literally couldn’t put it down! It is dark, brutal, and compelling and the dual storyline works amazingly well. The characters are so well-defined and described, and a sense of menace emanates from the pages. The story flows seamlessly, and kept me wanting more! I do love a nail-biter, and this book was definitely one of those. An edge-of-the-seat thriller, I absolutely loved it!

Was completely hooked from the first chapter and I knew straight away with was going to be a great read. Couldn’t work out how the two story lines where going to merge into each other but they did and then the story really dose pick up the pace. Was always at the edge of my seat, So many twists and turns and the last one blew my mind. Loved all the characters and they really did have depth to them. Every character had something about them and brought something to the story. I felt like I could feel their emotions coming off the page.

Loved it Dan and I can’t wait for the next one xxxx

I received an invitation to take part on a blog tour for this book and was interested. I read the blurb and was excited. And by the end of the first chapter, I was well and truly hooked. What should have been a wonderful night for Robert and Helen Harris, as they spent the evening of their wedding anniversary together on Lake Windermere, suddenly and violently turns into a nightmare as their boat is attacked, culminating in the explosion of the boat across the lake.

From there, the story fast-forwards fifteen years to tell in parallel the stories of Jess and Adina. Jess is Robert and Helen’s daughter who, after an orphaned and unloved childhood has fallen into an abusive relationship with Sean. Adina lives a life of domestic slavery to a Russian crime boss and his mother. The pace is fast, almost to the point of being frantic and yet both stories are told plausibly and sensibly, in a way that not only had me feeling for both characters but also reminded that there really are people who, behind the respectable exterior of their houses, are forced to live such lives.

But the sustained abuse suffered by both women hasn’t broken either of them. Both have their own little ways of making their lives more bearable. The reader supports them as they carry out their little subterfuges, cheers them on as they each see their chance to escape and rejoices as they take it. We really want this to be the start of new, happier lives for them both. But is either woman really safe from her captor?

I loved the first two-thirds of the book. Admittedly, there is one key point in particular that requires the willing suspension of a fair-sized chunk of disbelief, but I was enjoying the story enough to let this pass by. And when I realised how the two similar but apparently unrelated stories came together, which happened in a way that I hadn’t seen coming at all, I may have actually gasped out loud. I was convinced at this point that I’ll Find You would be a five-star read.

But then … er … how can I put this?

Many years ago, my grandmother, who lived with us, liked to watch Eastenders. And I recall one particular episode that marked the climax to a certain storyline. If I remember correctly, a single 30-minute episode included an attempted rape, a shooting and probably quite a lot more besides before a heroic rescue happened. The trouble was that, according to reports, some of the scenes had been deemed too violent to be broadcast before 9pm. This led to a rushed, last-minute edit and the BBC probably deserved credit for still managing to make the episode exciting. But, perhaps invariably, it was also a bit of a mess. We had cuts and bruises that magically healed, torn clothing that somehow mended itself and an ending that, perhaps because of a deleted scene, didn’t really seem to fit.

Judging by the many 5-star reviews and average 4.75 star rating on Goodreads at the time of writing, I seem to be in a minority of one here. But for me, that’s a bit like how it felt to read the final part of this book. I'm loathe to say this, but it kind of fell apart. I lost count of the number of people who sustained violent injuries only to apparently make full and rapid recoveries, whilst the gruesome death of a minor character seemed to add nothing to the story and to have been included almost for the sake of it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s exciting and had me racing to the end. But it seemed to grow more and more improbable until the final chapter, which should have had me thinking ‘wow’, instead left me shaking my head in disbelief.

This is absolutely not to suggest that you shouldn't read the book. I can easily see why a lot of people have loved it. If you enjoy excitement, and can forgive just a few inaccuracies, there's every chance that you will too. Personally, however, I’m minded to liken it to the outdoor swim I took at sunset the other night. Entering the cool water felt like heaven after the end of a very warm day, and watching the sunset was wonderful. Many people took to social media to say what a lovely evening they’d had. But I couldn’t help feel that getting eaten alive by midges as I got dressed, followed by waking in the middle of the night with aggravated hay fever, was enough to take the edge off the experience.

My thanks to the author and to Donna Morfett for my inclusion on the blog tour. I will publish my review on Goodreads but given its critical nature, will not post to Amazon unless requested otherwise.

4.25 🌟

I was graciously offered an e-copy of this book by the author before its release in exchange for an honest review ☺️

This action-packed, fast-paced thriller follows the lives of two very different women - Jess, and Arina, both leading horrific lives at the hands of their abusers. The premise is set within the first few pages as a romantic anniversary celebration takes an unexpected and gruesome turn, and Jess’ parents are murdered on their boat cruise, in the middle of Lake Windermere, leaving her an orphan.

15 years later, Jess has a good job, but she has fallen victim to an abusive relationship with her boss, Sean. With an ignorant aunt, and no money in her bank account, she feels like she doesn’t have a choice but to acclimate herself to this horrible life..

A couple hundred miles away, in the town of Northampton, Arina is help captive and is often bullied, beaten and raped by her captor and crime boss, Damir. Her sole job is to take care of his extremely ungrateful and sadistic mother.

One day, Jess receives a phone call that could be her only chance to get away from Sean, and start afresh. She decides to grab it, but will she make it? In Northampton, situation escalates and things go haywire, and Arina decides to make a run for it and escape the hellhole that has been her life for so many years.. Will she succeed?

Or will these barbaric men find them both?

🩸 The writing is clever and gripping. The switch b/w two POVs was executed flawlessly, and the story flowed with ease.

🩸I loved the variety of characters, and how all of them were explored to their full potential. Both the female leads were strong protagonists. I hated Sean and everything he stood for, which just attributes to good writing. I abhorred Damir and his ruthless family. I adored Beth and Elliott, and loved their respective roles. 🥹

🩸 The story is dark, brutal and full of twists. I was so engrossed in the story, and busy cheering both women on, that I couldn’t have anticipated the shocking turn this story would take. It was mad!

💭- This is the second book I have been lucky enough to be gifted from the brilliant @dan_clark100 to read and review, so thank you so much for choosing me! ☺️

Overall, I really enjoyed this read. It was fast paced, but at the same time kept that sense of mystery you crave from a thriller, it certainly had me me guessing throughout! As a long standing fan of thriller books, sometimes I can find that whilst they are entertaining, at times they can be a bit predictable. 🙈There were points throughout this book where I could genuinely never have predicted what would happen, and I think that’s what made me enjoy it the most! 👏🏼

At first I noted that there were a lot of characters to get my head around which felt a little fragmented, however as the plot thickened it was easy to connect the dots, and I was invested in each and every complex narrative as they played out side by side. I loved the character development throughout, even those you loved to hate (Sean, Damir, I’m looking at you!) 👀

Jess and Helen are BAD ass! 💪🏼
⚠️ Some disturbing themes throughout and some quite brutal scenes, so pre warning for those who may find this difficult ⚠️

A literal explosive start, twists and turns throughout, a build up of suspense and an unpredictable ending… what more could you wish for from a thriller?!

August 15th is publication day if you fancy a read 👀 I would recommend it 💯!

Congratulations Dan, I never doubted this would be a corker, and you have not disappointed 👏🏼 x

Crikey, this book opens with a bang and doesnt let up its pace at any point afer that.
The books follows the stories of two women, who are seemingly living vastly different lives, but their stories converge.
The first is Jess. She was just a year old when her parents were ruthlessly murdered, and is brought up by her aunt, not the upbringing she was expecting. When she ends up with her boss, she realises she is trapped in a very unhappy and dangerous marriage.
The other is Arina, the sex slave of a Russian Crime boss. Both women are trying to escape their abusive relationships.
I was rooting for both women all the time, both were dealt very rough hands in life through no fault of their own and tried their best despite that.
The two men, Sean and Damir, well, what I would like to do to those two. Its a good author that writes two villains strongly enough that I really would like to reach into the pages and throttle them...or worse!
The action is intense throughout, and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way. It all comes together brilliantly and the ending matches the pace set from page one.
Cant wait to read more by Dan, full on action thrillers like this are hard to find.
