Floating Bridges: Ireland & England

Mixed media hand-quilted artwortks by Marilyn Henrion inspired by travels in Ireland and England. Inspired by my travels in Ireland (2019) and England (2003), these mixed media works were created in 2020 and 2021. Once again, I return to recurring themes in my work, that of a fascination with the intersections of past and present and of man’s eternal quest for immortality in the architecture and man-made structures he leaves behind that say, “I was once here.” In a sense, the hand quilting that animates the surfaces of the work echoes that quest by the artist.
