One of the most important documents that any United State citizen should read. Incredibly well organized into 10 sections, each on a different element of the attack, with plenty of footnotes to support.

Democracy is fragile. It is nowhere more obvious than in this work. To get an insiders view, also consider Liz Cheney’s book, Oath and Honor, a companion work and must read as well.

Voltaire: Those Who Can Make You Believe Absurdities Can Make You Commit Atrocities. This observation was confirmed by the Nazis and now in our era by Donald Trump. To say that I am not a fan of "Agent Orange" - I call him this because his make-up makes him look orange and he is as lethal as the herbicide used in the Vietnam War - is the understatement of the century. I have made it thru 6 years without verbalizing the office and the name. Trump convinced people of the the "Big Lie" of the stolen election. He made his followers and many extremist groups believe the the Vice President had the power to reject electoral college voting slates even though his own lawyers told him this was false and illegal under the constitution. He summoned those who believed his absurdities to commit a riot of atrocities. For 187 minutes he watched television of the chaos at the Capitol, knew that individuals were physically harmed and even killed, and never told the rioters to leave the building. He fed the violence and did not think that hanging Mike Pence was unreasonable given that he was a coward who failed to stop the election certification. Staff including his daughter Ivanka begged him to tell the rioters to leave the Capitol. He grudgingly added the word peaceful to a tweet, but did not ask the mob to leave for 187 minutes. Trump managed to convince largely members of extremist groups to believe absurdities and sent them to the Capitol to commit atrocities. He wanted to go with them but the Secret Service would not allow it. Evil has stepped onto the world stage and his name is Trump. I highly recommend reading the committee report. Kristi & Abby Tabby

This is terrifying and should have been mandatory reading or explained before the next American election cycle. I don't understand how you can attempt to overthrow an election in six different ways, only one of which is legal, and still be allowed to run again.

Took the time to read the almost 1000+ pages of this report and all its associated appendices. I highly recommend reading the report (or at least the summary) and forming your own conclusions…

Didn't learn much more than what was already discussed in the news and the committee's presentations. I hope there is more investigations into where the money from the all the election denial fundraising went to, from what the J6 dug up, it definitely doesn't seem legal.

I read this book in less than 2 weeks time- I couldn't put it down because I couldn't sell them the depth and breath but this administration went on every level to steal an election by claim it was raped on the other side of the aisle. If I said it once I've said it a million times if Democrats were going to rig an election we would have done a much better job at not leaving Mitch McConnell and a whole host of other players that were okay with this or part looking it like my own current congressman. We wouldn't have left such a narrow majority in either the house or the Senate.

This should be a must read for every American before the next presidential election.
