New scientific discoveries strengthen our religious beliefs. Light shows us what the firmament looked like 12 billion years ago. Space telescopes beam these images on to our TV and computer screens. Light lasts forever. Let there be light! Light holds and stores in its memory everything it sees. It remembers everything from the largest galaxies to the tiniest atoms. Light remembers us. The vast expanse of our universe is revealed to us by the telescope in the observatory. The mini-universes revealed to us by the microscope in the laboratory give a close-up view of matter changing endless new forms and dimensions. We are made of matter, so we can change too. Science does not threaten religion. On the contrary it reinforces our spiritual beliefs. It leaves less unseen. God created both the physical and the meta physical worlds. Science and religion are a partnership both searching for truth.
