'Mindf**ked : When it's 4am and you can't stop thinking' by Anubhav Agarwal, author's newest non-fiction release and also the next book is something that I genuinely looking for from a long time.

Strategies to implement in order to calm your mind :

✿ Divert your mind & focus on something else
✿ Listen to music
✿ Be vocal about your thoughts
✿ Don't force yourself
✿ Look at the positive side

The book follows easy steps and tips to overcome the problem of overthinking that we face in the different walks of life like Career, Work, Personal life, Relationships, etc. The book is very simple and quite self explanatory I feel.

How much can you think? about what happened 2 years ago, or that of office work that’s on the verge of crossing the due date, your much-needed and long due appraisal, submission of assignment, hot and cold signals from your partner, the list goes on and on. And trust me, you are not exclusive to these problems, in fact, these are so much part of our lives, it actually defines the majority of our adulthood. As the author says, there's a thin line between thinking and overthinking and that thin line determines the course of your life, not necessarily the issues that are keeping you awake at 4 am.

2023 is just around the corner and this is the best time to bring small changes in our daily routine and also develop a “growth-oriented” positive mindset. After all, how can we feel energetic if we don’t fill our minds with good, uplifting thoughts? That’s where self-help books like Mindf**ked come to our help. In just 200 pages the author, Anubhav Agrawal, covered all the important spheres of our lives. Just like the best self-improvement books out there in the market, the author writes in a very crisp and relatable manner making it one of the good books to read for self-growth and achieving one's full potential in life. it feels like talking to your higher self or elder sibling or even a friend, who navigates us during our difficult days.

The book is divided into chapters like family, personal life, relationship, career, and education. He lays out an action-oriented plan in order to face the reality. On no pages, he sugarcoats his words and the honesty in his writing style is what I appreciate the most. He focuses on changing one's mindset rather than complaining about how unfair the world is. In a nutshell, I highly recommend this book.

Been there, done that! Guilty of overthinking, like all the time, especially when I'm trying to have a good night's sleep!

Undoubtedly, overthinking creates mountains out of molehills and most of us are wired to overthink for no reason. For people like us, this book comes as a supportive friend.

The beloved author discusses overthinking in this book, in personal life, in relationships, in friendships, in academics, career and professional life, and overthinking because of family. The good thing is that it explores most of the commonly felt situations and that is what makes the book a great read, a deep work.

The author discusses and covers a variety of situations we commonly find ourselves pondering over, and the simplest solution for us to stop overthinking is to accept that we cannot change what has already happened, and only ease our mind with that. It is not necessary to find solutions to all the problems at that very moment, and we need to give time to situations and things.

The writing style is friendly and cheerful, it's super-relatable and appears like a pep-talk or a friend who knows what you're feeling, with just the right words to comfort, and to let us know that we're not alone with this feeling. It's an actual comfort-read, a warm hug and a reminder to calm down and take it easy.

“Mindf*cked” is a raw, emotional, and brutally honest reflection on heartbreak, betrayal, self-worth, and healing. Anubhav Agrawal shares a deeply personal and relatable journey of how love can sometimes turn toxic, and how we often lose ourselves while trying to hold on to people who were never meant to stay.

Through poetic lines, confessions, and moments of self-realization, this book captures the mental chaos and emotional trauma that comes from being used, lied to, or left broken by someone we trusted. What stood out to me was the way it speaks directly to readers who’ve felt misunderstood, manipulated, or emotionally exhausted — and gives them words when they couldn’t find their own.

If you’ve ever been through a tough breakup or questioned your own worth because of someone else’s actions, this book will feel like a friend who gets it. It’s not just about pain; it’s also about rising from it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts after reading it.

𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙛**𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝘼𝙣𝙪𝙗𝙝𝙖𝙫 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙡

💬70,000 a day, 2916 a hour, and 49 a minute. That is the average number of thoughts a human brain processes. I know you all know that though what I believe is that the most complex things are the most simplest all you need is the simplicity to understand it.

💬Thoughts are in-voluntary yet thinking is voluntary. Intriguing isn't it or totally lame, because most of you already know that. We understand these concepts and factors quite profoundly, yet still fail to prevent "Overthinking". Here comes the elephant in the room. Oops !! dropped a bomb 💣

💬Despite knowing all this, we cannot do anything because we fail to understand that whilst overthinking our brain becomes vulnerable and so much occupied, that it couldn't pay attention to such simple things. Which brings us to the facts the people can really act dumb and anxious and that's a symptom of being a overthinker not a irregularity.

💬There is a very thin gap between THINKING & OVERTHINKING, but this thin gap flips the reality and fries up the brain, or in short makes you dumb. I guess now you understand my pov on such things and the analogy above too.

📌Coming to this book, it basically serves as a guide for those who want to understand overthinking, or suffer through this. It covers the causes and some techniques for overthinking and related problems. It covers our life's every front, that are Personnel Relationships, Family, Academic and Professional.

📌A light and short read, written with the aim of the awareness and help towards overthinking and mental health. A lucid read with a precise approach. This might be a good fit for your bookshelf, If you can relate with the above.

What is even point of this book ?

Social media influencers when become writers, they bring podcasts to books and mostly without being creative or original. Wasted my 120 Rs on this kindle book.

In a nutshell, writer has collected age old wisdom from various sources and has scribbled them in hinglish.

I also wanted to check this book because of Hinglish, and immediately realized reading Hindi in roman script is difficult. This is not Hinglish, this book is Hindi book where script is Roman instead of Devnagri.
