J.K.Ellem is one of favourite authors, he has a very distinctive way of drawing you into his books and the wonderful characters he writes.
How could you not love Audrey?
She has everything at her disposal, coming from an extremely wealthy background but she shuns away from the highlife and social events that her sisters Bree and Temp thoroughly enjoy.
The only thing the Audrey that needs and wants is her next victim!
Audrey kills not for pleasure but to rid the world of the bad guys.
But when she is abducted by a very depraved serial killer and gets the better of him and escapes the hunter becomes the hunted.
Homicide Detective Marty is in a deep dark place. Suspended from his job, estranged from his wife and two children and with a drink and drug addiction to boot, you could say that he is a complete washout. But he has been hunting The Gray Man...a serial killer that just loves slicing up his victims. And not only that he is investigating on the side about a woman ghost that kills her victims in hotel rooms.
How is everyone connected and who survives?
I read this book in a few hours. An absolute must read.

Couldn't put this book down
JK Ellen was not fibbing when he says in his blurb that 'you may be up till 4 a.m'. I read this book in one hit! Fast paced, exciting and masses of action. JK Ellam has an incredible talent that makes a serial killer a likeable heroine and reader firmly rooting for her.

Great Read -hard to put down
Really enjoyed the characters in the book - a female serial killer only killing bad
men and a washed up police officer on a mission - ending has a bit of a twist -
Finger crossed-

JK Ellem has done it yet again. I love that he always has Easter eggs in his books that tie into his other books. I was hooked the moment I started reading. I love a good strong female character that shows strength after everything she's been through. The twist and turns were fun to read. And the ending made me smile. I think Ozzie knew what he was doing when he went to speak with Audrey.

Who dies- Who lives ?
A book packed with full of action that doesn't let up. You want to keep reading to know what's happening next, and you come to the end with twists and turns that really surprise the reader's.
All characters are well placed, with such a great storyline, and a very satisfying ending.

Convergence
This brought such a convergence of so many totally different characters together. Absolutely amazing that the deranged evil forces didn't win, but unfortunately neither did the good. A mesmerizing story that will have you glued to the pages. Another hit with me!

One serial killer unknowingly targets another serial killer, not once, but twice. Marty, a washed up detective is still determined to end the reign of one of the killers.
This is a fast paced, page turning novel with a interesting conclusion.

I did not finish, which isn't the author's fault (this time lol). I was curious about kindle shorts and just clicked on the first book that seemed interesting enough and the writing pulled me in way further along than I thought it would. Problem? Admitting to myself that I'm just not cool enough to get through these ice-cold thrillers, hard as I try, so I'll stick to the cozier side of things. But if I was going to pick one to get through, it would be this one because that part four cliffhanger was so good!
