I read this book out loud for my 6 year old daughter and we loved it. The writing was beautiful and poetic at times, very catlike. The action was well paced and the characters were easy to get to know. We enjoyed the descriptions of nature and places as Jasmine made her journey. We also loved the theme of kindness towards animals from children that was ongoing in this book. The "house spirits" were a little spooky but manageable for my cautious daughter. It was so interesting to consider the world of cats in this way and overall I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a bite size animal adventure book!
