Once again Ms James has delivered a wonderfully written MC book which draws you in from the very beginning. This is the second book about the Rebel Souls and is an equally compelling read. This time it is centered around the characters Ephraim (AKA Torch) a member of Rebel Souls and Lizzie a bartender in the local strip club and fierce protector of the girls who work there.
Torch is the brooding male, a man of few words who secretly wants Lizzie. Both have had life traumas and as a result leaves both of them with no intention of having future relationships. The chemistry between them is off the scale but neither of them are willing to admit their attraction to one another. That is until one night when a rival MC gang cause trouble at the club and Lizzie gets caught up in it. The Rebel Souls go all out to deliver their own kind of “justice”!
There is a good mix of tension, suspense and passion - all of which has helped you emotionally engrossed. All is not as it seems and is not straightforward, will Ephraim and Lizzie get their happy ever after?

How does Thetta do it? Her words always seem to make me remember realities that I have chosen to forget.
Ephraim (Torch) and Lizzie are broken by circumstances life handed them. Two completely different traumas that made them put up walls. Hurt that only time and each other could break down. This excerpt says a lot!
“Most people like to live in a bubble of happiness, never dealing with the realities that plague people’s lives. But life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. I’m the type of person that if my friends hurt, I hurt and I’m there for them no matter what.”
What they do for others and for each other only solidifies their need. For healing and love and for each other. Thank you Thetta for once again bringing a story that goes right to my heart! 💜💜🔥🤗

Compelling! Absolutely loved! Once again Thetta James hits it out of the ballpark. Ephraim (Torch) and Lizzie's story is the perfect mix of angst, suspense, and intense passion. Their story is a wonderfully written, emotionally charged story which had me captivated throughout. The heat and sexual tension between Ephraim and Lizzie are undeniable. I loved every page! Ephraim and Lizzie's story will undoubtedly pull at your heartstrings. Two complicated and dynamic characters. Their romance is both sexy and endearing. And, Saint is the perfect addition to both of their lives. Five stars. Definitely recommend.

Torch and Lizzie balanced each other out perfectly. They each were fighting their own demons and overcoming trauma. Torch doesn’t do relationships because of his military past. So his dog and sister are his only companions aside from his MC brothers. Lizzie was kidnapped and sold at a young age, but escaped, and now is doing it better, but she constantly has nightmares. She still feels dirty, and that no one will love her because of her past. Can these two form a lasting relationship?

My oh my! Thetta James never ceases to amaze me! Thrust into wild a chaotic world of the MC , two tortured souls, and a journey filled with spice, suspense and full of angst! Rebel Torture had me on the edge of my seat , but was also left feeling thrilled with an outstanding ending! Filled with wisdom and strength! Awesome read!

It takes a rescue for Ephraim and Lizzie to finally act on their attraction. Discovering they have a lot in common, they eventually get their act together. Lots of emotional intensity. The bonus epilogue is fantastic!

🌟 BAM! KAPOW! WOWZA! I FELL, HYPNOTIZED INTO THIS JOURNEY WITH LIZZIE AND TORCH! 5 REBEL STARS 🌟
I've gotta say, Rebel Torture stole a piece of me from the very beginning. As I was reading, I couldn't help but notice something. The words written in this book are so beautiful, compelling and profound. There really is beauty in the words author Thetta James writes here. They're so very expressive.
Twenty seven year old Ephraim Phillips aka Torch is the Sergeant at Arms for the Rebel Souls MC. I really loved Torch. He's a man of few words. He's not one for small talk, ever, with anyone in or out of the club. That's just his style. He's super growly and that's one of my favorite traits in a hero. I call him Mr. I Never Smiley Pants. Because, well you get my meaning. He is one serious badass dude.
Before joining the Rebels Souls MC, Ephraim was serving his country. While in the service, Ephraim was trained extensively to extract information from the enemy, by any means. By that I mean ANYTHING! Let me just say you never want to be the enemy captive alone in a room with Ephraim when he has a job to do. It's a job he took seriously and he got the job done. To say he enjoyed his work would be an understatement. He reveled in every painful minute of it.
While on a mission, things went horribly wrong when an unexpected and most devastating gut wrenching and life changing event took place that, in a blink of an eye, shattered his life into a million shards of pain, guilt, PTSD, and horrible nightmares. That's when he decided to leave the armed forces. Now he's ex special forces and retired from the military.
When the Saint comes marching in…
After he came back home to Iron Forge, he needed an outlet. A distraction from his PTSD and other related issues. … I'll leave it at that. He also needed a companion to help with his PTSD. That's where Saint, a gorgeous black Cane Corso comes in. It's a match made in heaven for both of them. They both thrived in their relationship. Then came the Rebel Souls MC.
Twenty five year old gun toting Lizzie Hart left home and settled in Iron Forge, Oregon. She tends bar at the Boobie Trap. She's a protector of sorts. She watches over the women who work with her. Why? Because sadly, she is all too familiar with and can recognize the signs of those who have fallen victim to abuse and that drives her need to protect them.
You're probably wondering what happened in her past right? I did too when I was reading the book. However, I feel compelled not to spoil it for you. I will say that as a reader you'll think you know her story. I'm here to say you don't. You just don't. It is something so incredibly unbelievable, and unimaginable that I had a difficult time wrapping my head around it, the gravity of it all. You'll love her even more for it. The mother in me wanted to run to her and protect her myself. Especially when I felt her own mother should have but couldn't…and didn't when Lizzie needed her family the most.
Lizzie's rose gold Glock is never far from reach. Especially since The Devil’s Inferno's, the local rival MC are up to absolutely no good, and have been showing up more often. Why? I'm not telling. All I'll say is they have a secret agenda and are determined to get the job done by any means possible. They are only loyal to their club. Anyone who gets in their way is fair game. Zeke is a member of the Devil's Inferno and may I say he's a horrible and despicable human being and made my skin crawl. Trust me when I say you never want to meet up with him in a dark alley. His character is the perfect villain. I loved hating him.
Our yummylicious albeit quiet and grumpy hero Torch is never far away from Lizzie. He watches over her from afar whether it's from across the room, making sure she is safe when leaving the bar or keeping watch outside her home. And if he's not doing it another Rebel Souls member is. He can't help but be attracted to Lizzie but never acts on it. He just stares at her intensely. And don't think she doesn't know it . He knows the Devil's are making themselves at home at the Boobie Trap and knows trouble is brewing. It's just a matter of time before trouble heats up and bubbles over. And he's right…
Lizzie knows he's there watching her in the club. Her attraction to him stays only with her. But she can't help wondering about the allusive Rebel who's never far away. She fantasizes about Torch. Her dark thoughts are just her own. She wonders what it would be like with him behind closed doors. Would he be rough with her? She could only hope. Then one afternoon that hope turns into a reality.
And talk about an afternoon delight! What happened in the dressing room at the Boobie Trap was more like an afternoon volcanic eruption! Good gawd almighty people!!! My tablet got so heated up it reached out and singed my dang eyebrows! Blazing hot volcanic eruption. Yes... it... was…
Does it change anything? Well I'm not saying but things are about to blow up and people are going to get burned, badly. Some more than others.
An unexpected bar fight turns into a complete nightmare. All hell breaks loose and it's Devil's Inferno's against Rebel Soul's. It's soon realized that it was a set up for a different agenda and one that hit the Rebels square in the gut.
Oh my flipping gawd! Our heroine is beyond brave. She never relents, never caves to the enemy. Not for a single second. She goes to that place inside her that keeps her sanity in check. Her past and her extensive training taught her that. But it will cost her. It'll cost her dearly. Will the Rebel Soul's get to them in time?
It's a race against time…
All I say to you is, they don't call him Torch for no reason. Holy mother… The darkness in him that he tries to keep hidden, his cravings, can now be unleashed and unleash he does! It's one of those one eye opened and one closed moments for sure.
When an enemy is caught, both undeniable rage and unstoppable wrath is bestowed upon the enemy unlike anything I've read before or at least in recent memory. Talk about suspenseful and intense. Yikes! My heart is palpitating just remembering what happened. My adrenaline was surging so high that I'm very surprised I didn't find myself in cardiac arrest. I'm sure for some it would be hard to read but it's necessary for the storyline.
When pasts are revealed my eyes teared up as I walked off the cliff of horrible pasts. I was right in that I was so wrong. I wasn't ready for it. It's ghastly and it's every bad nightmare put together and thrown at an innocent girl.
When feelings shift and care is needed, Torch and Saint step in and Lizzie lets them. Their time together is exactly what they need. It's undeniable that Lizzie feeds Torch's darkness and he feeds her needs. Saint stays close and keeps them safe from themselves. It was so heartwarming.
Just when you think it's now safe in the world, it's not. Not… at… all!!! Talk about an unexpected blast from the past…. There goes my adrenaline spike again!
When it looked as though history was about to repeat itself, karma steps in and a rose gold glock sends evil straight back to hell. That was so satisfying and the climactic ending was so beautiful and so Lizzie and Torch!
For me, author Thetta James goes beyond delivering words on a page that tell a story. She takes the reader on the journey with her and I couldn't help but fall, hypnotized into this journey right alongside Lizzie and Torch. Now that's what I'm talking about! My advice? Read Rebel Torture! 5 🌟's

Amazing MC Romance!
Oh, gosh. Where do I start? Thetta James writing style and ability to create spicy and emotional stories is why she’s quickly becoming a favorite for me!
In Rebel Torture, Ephraim (aka Torch) and Lizzy are two characters who’ve got their walls built high, having separately suffered through traumatic events in their lives.
Torch has experienced the horrors of war and the loss of comrades before finding a new life as the enforcer of the Rebel Souls MC. The idea of getting attached to someone and losing them has him living a single life with the club as his main focus. Still plagued by occasional nightmares and setbacks, his dog and therapy sessions keep him from getting sucked into the darkness of it all, but he can’t keep his eyes off gorgeous bartender Lizzy, a strong woman who also acts as protector for the strippers at the Booby Trap where she works.
Lizzy has faced her own battles, having been abducted into trafficking where she was held and used by the ringleader for 7 years before escaping and starting a new life. Her self defense training and gun keep her and the other women at the bar safe, while her walls protect her heart from the risk of being broken. The only chink in her armor are the quiet, intense stares from Torch.
These two are thrown together when a rival MC stirs up trouble, both of them determined not to get involved with the other yet feeling an undeniable connection and their chemistry is off the charts HOT!
Their character and relationship development in this book was a gripping, emotional journey as their walls slowly crumbled and they let the other in, revealing their pasts, only for the walls to slam back in place when Ephraim’s fears come back with a vengeance.
The road to their eventual happy ever after isn’t an easy one, but with the MC life, trouble from the rival club and their pasts, it was as everything it should be and more.
I have to give a shout out to a fantastic “side character” in this story, Ephraim’s dog Saint. Pets become such an irreplaceable comfort for many people that keep them grounded so seeing lovable, protective Saint welcome Lizzy into Ephraim’s life and being that for her as well just added something extra to the story that I love but don’t see often enough in romance novels. His own little epilogue was a perfect end to this fantastic read.

This is my first book by Thetta James and I was not disappointed!! I have more by her on my TBR list so I know I'll be reading more. Ephraim and Lizzie are perfect together! Two damaged souls who find solace in each other and help fight the other's demons and battles. There is a lot of heat and steam between these two as they navigate falling in love while also trying to stay alive thanks to the Devils Inferno MC - a rival club wreaking havoc in their small town. The Rebel Souls are trying to keep Iron Forge safe from the trafficking ring the Devil's Inferno is running. Ephraim and Lizzie won't tolerate the Devils behavior and that puts them in a lot of danger. Can they survive and find a way to heal each other's tortured hearts? Read it and find out!

Wow. Just wow
Thetta James, You, my Dear, have done it again. Don't let mindless people tell you that you don't know what you're doing. Your readers, like me, prefer to differ. The way you sucked me in from the very beginning. Describing the scene, word for word. Making me shiver, in all the right places. You're holding back a bit. I know you're descriptions could get a lot darker. I just luved Torch and Lizzie. A Bad Ass couple that deserved luv, together. You never seem to amaze me. Wait...... You just did, Again.... Keep up the amazing job.. I can't wait for what's next. Luv You Girl!!! You got this!!!

I know you're descriptions could get a lot darker. I just luved Torch and Lizzie. A Bad Ass couple that deserved luv, together. You never seem to amaze me. Wait...... You just did, Again.... Eh too much inner monologue
I got bored quite fast with all the inner Monologue. Other parts kept me interest per say bug it just dragged. I did give three stars because it is well written just too much details and not enough action.

a double sad story with a great ending.
Sad and hard to read but really a great story for both Lizzie and Torch with a wonderful hea. Loved Saint too and please read the Epilogue.

I loved the main characters in this story and their pasts were just brutal. I loved how they quiet each other's demons. The plot was good too. I just felt that towards the end, I wasn't as convinced it fot with the characters.

She writes in such a way that you get to know her characters even the secondary ones and you empathize with their struggles. Her characters are so wonderfully written, I find myself screaming encore ! Encore! I just can't get enough!

There isn't an MC book that I can pass by without reading.
I'm addicted to this genre and I can't get enough.
As a bonus, I was given the chance to know a new author and I wasn't disappointed.
Thetta James is the author in question and I'll be following her...
Her writing is raw and wild, intense and so much more.

He joined the MC after getting out of the military after a tragic event that changed his entire life.
In order to protect himself, he shuts down completely to love. But on look at Lizzie...
Lizzie's life hasn't been easy. Being abused for several years made her the way she is. She doesn't trust easily and love isn't in the cards for her.

Fantastic plot, well written, super engaging, dark and so intense it hurts.
How can two broken souls mend? How can you find your true self when everyone had hurt you?
How can you move forward when your past pulls you back?
This book is not for the faint of heart.
It's cruel, brutal, and super dark.
Of course that with all the drama we will also find love and desire...
These two were perfect for each other in an imperfect way.
They complete each other and you can feel their struggles.

Words can not say how amazing this book was! What a page turner! Two people, each with their own demons, trying to get through life. Neither looking for love. Ephraim (Torch), you will learn the meaning behind his nickname, and Lizzie who’s teenage years were just awful. Wait til you see what she was put through! Torch is part of Rebel Souls and Lizzie works as a bartender. She is like a momma to the strippers. You will see why though. Torch doesn’t do relationships, but it seems Lizzie may change that. Their chemistry seems to sizzle even if both don’t want to admit it. When a certain event happens, Torch is there for Lizzie. Can Torch and his crew take down the bad guys? You will keep reading hoping Torch and Lizzie’s walls will come down, and that they will open up to each other. Can a relationship be formed? Can they learn to trust each other or will their pasts continue to haunt them? The ending even brought a tear to my eyes. You will hear Lizzie tell Torch something about her past that she had no idea would actually come true. I’ll leave it at that. True love can definitely come when you least expect it. For Torch and Lizzie their story for forever seemed like it was just beginning. Thetta James, you have written another amazing read!

Torch learned a long time ago not to depend on anyone nor expect much in life. After his family, only his club brothers mattered. He dealt with PTSD from his military years and didn't want anyone else to suffer with him. Those years left him with bad dreams and odd desires. Thankfully, he had Saint by his side to aid him and his MC brothers helped ease his desires. Lately he's had other feelings come to life that he just doesn't know how to deal with.
Lizzie had to grow up quick when trauma entered her life at a young age. Even after, it affected her in many ways. She didn't feel welcome nor worthy of love. When she took drastic measures in her life, all she knew was to protect herself and those she came in contact with. Then he came into her life, bringing a small flame to her existence that neither seemed to want to address. Out of the blue, her past resurfaced and the flames became out of control.
Emotions are up and down in between lives. I was deeply affected by both stories, feeling for each and how they intersected. My heart was broken, mended then became full at the end.
Torch is a must read and I can hardly wait to get my hands on Ms James next big read!

Rebel Torture is an amazing read. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s interesting, sexy scenes, and some drama involving the MC clubs. Gideon is the president of the Rebel Souls. He’s a man who has issues but he keeps things to himself.
Alise, or Angel is a woman working at the Boobie Trap bar. She also has some issues and is working to get out of Oregon and find a place for herself and maybe start a new life.
But things happen at the club with another MC and Gideon has to take action and has her taking a room at his clubhouse. It’s for her safety and she will be protected there. She knows the other group is going to be watching for her, because she heard some news about the fire they started.
The relationship between Gideon and Angel grows, even as Gideon tells her she will beg to be with him. After a few weeks they do come together and it has both of them questioning their feelings.
It’s got all the feels in this story. You won’t be able to set the book down , it has you engrossed in the story. The characters & storyline was amazing and it’s a perfect love story. You will enjoy reading this book. I wish it was longer, it was so good. ❤️❤️

Rebel Torture was my first book I’ve read by Thetta, & I really enjoyed it. It was a shorter read, but it was packed w/action that started right off, & didn’t stop until the end. Both Torch & Lizzie carry a lot of baggage & have demons f/their past that have left a huge impact on their current lives. Neither are looking or wanting a relationship, Torch is afraid of loving someone & then something happening to them, & Lizzie feels like what has happened to her in her past has left her a freak & that no one can possibly understand her. But there’s a connection between them, one they can’t deny. And when Lizzie is hurt, Torch is outraged. He finally lets his walls down for her, and they really connect, & that scares him. It also leaves him second guessing everything & pushing her away.
This was a short story, but the action was good, & it had some pretty steamy scenes!!! These 2 are definitely explosive together! Oh & probably my favorite part- the epilogue!!! Never have I seen a pov f/a dog, but damn I loved it!

This book left me with mixed feelings. So let me start off with some positives.
In the beginning, I loved the push and pull between the protagonists l, the chemistry between them and everything was epic. The writing style is such that it will keep you hooked throughout. There is action, drama and romance, all in one story. And one top of that if you are into motorcycle clubs, then it just gets better and better.
The thing that didn't work for me were the heavy topics that are addressed in the story, and, soo many elements were pushed into a small story. On the heavy topics, had there been a little discussion between the characters, had there been a little more detail to them, they would have been better addressed. Further, had the story more dialogues than just inner monologues, it would have made the relationship between the protagonists more dynamic.
Thus, I genuinely think that this story had a lot of potential and my experience could have been better.

This is the second book in this world I have read. It overlaps timeline was with the other book in this world I have read, Rebel Vengeance. Ephraim is the sergeant at Arms for the Rebel Souls. He is prior military as issues from that time. He has closed himself off to being with anyone. But that doesn’t stop him from feeling things for Lizzie. Lizzie has survived one of the worst things that can happen to someone. She finds it hard to be in relationships with guys. They don’t understand why she needs what she needs. She feels a pull towards Ephraim. He saves her and takes care of her while she recovers. But, will he allow his fears to stop them from being together. Lizzie knows her worth and while she would love a relationship with Ephraim, she won’t beg him. This book was a fantastic emotion, action packed, romantic read. Wonderful job Thetta. I can’t wait to read more books in this series and well as more by Thetta.

Rebel Torture is not for the faint hearted, some in-depth details, current and past along with the brutal violent scenes will have you gripping your kindle/book.
The story does not hold back, the writing style will keep you hooked, Rebel Torture delivers what is required of a quality MC read, lots of drama, tragedy, hot as hell sex scenes, and of course the studs in leather!.
Plus - Saint OMG I adore this good boy!!!.
Cannot wait for me from Thetta James - she is fast becoming one of my favourite authors.

You get all the feels... but what I loved most was the darkness and grit. I'm a sucker for it... Torch brought it and had me aching for more!

The pain and suffering the two of them carry would destroy most people. Thetta James tells their story raw and uncut. It's a book you need to go into blind and let your emotions get blasted by the words that come out of these pages.

Ephraim aka Torch is someone you should fear he has been through so much and is determined to remain sane. His nightmare torments him, but he fights every day to get to the person he wants to be. The Rebel Souls MC has become his life, the family he will do whatever he can to protect them. Lizzie has been through so much in her lifetime like your heart will break when you hear her story. Torch feels this protective way over Lizzie but won't do anything about it. When trouble comes he will do whatever he can to save her. Will it be too late? These two have a tormented pasts but can two people who have fought to live love one another to the ends of the earth? Or will trouble tear them apart? This story will leave you shaken and stirred, but so worth it.
