Killer Cliffhanger
This book wrecked me! My poor heart! It broke again and again. 💔 Be it for Beckett, Ri, or Ryker. The heartbreak comes in several forms and multiple directions.
Beckett and Ri continue to set the world on fire with their chemistry. 🔥 Their love is unconventional, that's for certain. They are also very dirty. 😁 I love that part!
True to the prior entries, they also hurt each other in ways that are often unintended or to protect the other. Yeah, that heartbreak thing.
And that ending! AHHHH! I think Ella Miles is trying to give me a heart attack. Seriously. Waiting several weeks for the next installment to this series seems completely torturous.
You need to read this series in order. The others in the Truth and Lies world are referenced but not required before this series. I'm voluntarily reviewing an ARC of the novel.

These Retribution Games are getting more deadly, shocking and dangerous.
Beckett and Ri's relationship is complicated and intense. The struggle with the love they have for each other, they can't contain it, and yet they hate each other with equal passion.
Ella Miles has written a story that has kept me intrigued, fully invested, and committed to the end, which I know will be sensational!

As usual, Ella Miles does not disappoint! Just when you think you have it figured out, you really don’t! There are so many twists and turns, lies, deception and betrayals to have it figured out so early in the series! This is the continuation of Beckett and Ri’s story – only now Odette is back in the mix! We find out what really happened in the hotel room the night of Beckett and Odette’s wedding. We find out who the one person Ri fears (Kek). Who is manipulating who? And who can anyone trust?
Loyalties change, the truth comes out, lies are told, deals are made, revenge is the motive, decisions are made and I just want to kick Odette to the curb! I am rooting for RI and Beckett, but you just never know what is going to happen when you get to the end of the series! Once again, my emptions felt like I was on a roller coaster – up and down, down and up! We found some answers to questions we’ve had since the beginning, but at the same time, more questions were raised! Ri proves herself stronger in this book – something she needed for herself. She gives Beckett a little dose of his own medicine at the same time as she gets her “strength” back.
I had a very hard time putting this book down (as I do with any of Ella Miles’ books!). I was so intrigued with what was going on – always thinking in the back of my mind – is this person for real? I don’t believe a word they are saying! I have a few suspicions of what might happen, and hopefully, I will be right and can say I finally figured out the truth before the last book! Of course, the story ends on a HUGE cliffhanger! I think this is probably the biggest of them all! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out and will be counting down the days!

Wow!! 'Fatal Princess' is Ella Miles' fourth book in her "Retribution Games" series and if you haven't already started this series, I can't emphasize enough, you need to do so immediately. There are politics and deception to deal with as Beckett and Ri try to handle the fallout of the initiation right. Kek also comes into the picture as tensions rise. Now, of all times, Becket looks back on his relationship with Enzo and his family, wondering exactly what drove him away from them. Perhaps things really are not as they seem and no one can be trusted. Alliances are formed and sacrifices are made along with a tragedy to be dealt with. A new game brings things to a head. But, the ending!!! Sweet bejeebers, Ella Miles continually gives us crazy endings that make me scream when it's over and completely salivate waiting for the next book to be released. Be warned, once you start this book don't expect to set it down any time soon. This crazy roller-coaster kept my head spinning until the ride ended. And now I'm in line to go again next time.

Another great addition to the series! The author once again brings a cast of strong characters and weaves an intriguing story filled with tons of action, danger and suspense. She brings all the feels in Becket and Ri's relationship and paints her scenes perfectly. It's well written, moves fluidly and is a great read with a cliffhanger ending.

Angsty Twists & Turns Keep Readers On Edge As They Scramble For Answers. It Is About Two People Hoping To Find True Love But Whose Choices Are Stolen From Them. Rialta Is Being Forced Into An Arranged Marriage, & Beckett’s True Love Story Is Based On A Lie. Their Story Is A Slow Burn.
ABOUT THE RETRIBUTION GAMES SERIES:
This is the fourth of six books in the Retribution Games series, Beckett and Rialta’s story. The series centers around the Retribution Kings as well as various other players that rule Chicago’s criminal underground. Beckett, a character from the Truth or Lies world, is new to the scene and gets sucked into a power play despite his best efforts to go straight. This book brings Odette back from the dead and deals with the consequent fallout for Beckett and Ri. Meanwhile, the danger increases as one more game is played. Fans will be thrilled that Beckett’s brother Enzo comes up in this story, hinting at potential trouble yet to come and the possibility of a clash with the Truth or Lies world which thus far revolves around Enzo, Zeke, Langston.
FROM MISTAKEN HERO, BOOK ONE:
Beckett, probably twenty-nine, is ready to give up everything for love. He is a murderer. He deals in weapons and drugs. He met Odette by chance, and he soon found himself head over heels in love. The kindergarten teacher never once looked at him with pity or saw him as anything less because of his missing arm. And her positive outlook combined with her innocence captivated him. A year later, they are marrying. But Beckett doesn’t want to tarnish his bride with his wicked ways or his dark past. He gave that all up when he met her. He got a job in marketing. His friends and family understand; they live in a dangerous world. Being a one-armed man makes him a little unique, though, and he worries about being identified and connected to his life of crime. Beckett doesn’t want it to touch Odette or the children they will have together. He met her while in Chicago on a job. He was meant to take out a target that sells women – Ares, leader of the Phantom Brotherhood. He never did finish the job, that was how fast and hard he fell.
Odette Monroe comes from a normal family and they have welcomed him into their fold. Her ailing father insists on paying for the wedding despite their working-class means. Her father is an engineer and her brother is a loan officer. Though Beckett has been careful to keep his old life and new life completely separate, he still takes great precautions to ensure Odette’s safety. They announce their marriage will take place the day after it is scheduled just to ensure there are no surprises. But something goes awry during the ceremony, and again when their bags are missing in the honeymoon suite. A strange girl runs as if for her life through their ceremony and then reappears later in the lobby covered in blood. Beckett’s paranoia about Odette’s safety has him jumping to the conclusion that the incidents are somehow targeted to him. Whether or not that is the case, he soon finds himself embroiled in as much danger as ever. And when he returns to his suite, Odette is gone. There is only blood. Refusing to give up hope, he sets to work to rescue the love of his life.
Rialta Corsi, twenty, is running from a dangerous man. She is the Princess of Chicago, daughter to Vincent Corsi of the Corsi Crime Family. They rule half the country and have a cut in most criminal organizations. Her father is feared and not to be crossed. She certainly fears him herself. She had been sheltered her whole life, kept from the knowledge of the family business, and not taught the skills she needs to survive in his brutal world. She is just a tool. She has known since she was thirteen that he planned to marry her to make an alliance with the man of his choosing. She doesn’t have options, and she decided her only choice is to run and never stop. She is bleeding badly and needs medical attention, but there is no time for that. As luck would have it she is picked up on State Street and taken against her will to a club. The Phantom Brotherhood plans to sell her, but when their leader recognizes Ri his plans change. By marrying her, Ares can solidify an alliance with the Corsi family. Ri doesn’t want to be forced to marry any man. It is her biggest fear. She longs to feel truly loved by a man, though it seems impossible. But she never shows fear. She is feisty, fierce, and savage. She may or may not be inexperienced, but she knows how to use her body to control men.
When the handsome one-armed groom she saw at the hotel earlier comes to her rescue, things turn in another direction. Hero helps her out of one predicament, but she is still not free. And if returned to her father, she knows what punishment awaits. Still, she cannot help her attraction to Hero – Beckett – the man who seems to think she needs rescuing. And though he is in love with his wife, that devotion makes Ri want him even more. And when he is forced to kiss her, it makes her want to live again. Beckett returns to the hotel with Princess, hoping to clear things up with her father and avoid any blame for what happened. He still doesn’t know from whom Princess was running or why. But when Odette turns up missing and his groomsmen confess to belonging to the Retribution Kings – a group he has never heard of – his whole life turns upside down. Beckett thought he left the life of crime behind him, but it turns out the RK’s had chosen him as their new leader. It is a job he never asked for and doesn’t want. It turns out his chance meeting with Odette was no mistake, and he is now desperately in love with a missing woman who may or may not love him after all. And he hates himself for feeling something for Princess when Odette means everything to him. He is not a cheater. A large portion of the story takes place on the night of Beckett’s wedding. The book ends in a cliffhanger about a week and a half later.
FROM FORBIDDEN PRINCESS, BOOK TWO:
As book one closed, Beckett had returned Ri to her father, Vincent Corsi, in exchange for information about Odette’s whereabouts – but not before Ares met an untimely death. That effectively eliminated the threat of the Phantom Brotherhood. During the turbulent week that the Retribution Kings had Rialta in their custody, she had somehow gotten under their skin. Even though it is possible that she or her father had something to do with Odette’s death, all but perhaps Lennox was a little smitten by the feisty woman. Ri returned to her father’s home without having recovered her memories, uncertain about her future but glad to help the RKs in their search for Odette. She was already falling for Beckett, with whom she knew she had no future. When her father brought her to a gathering of power figures from Chicago’s underworld a few days later and made her stand next to him like a trophy figure, she had no idea what to expect. Her father announced a plan to help ensure Rialta’s safety going forward – a plan the Retribution Kings helped him devise. A game will take place that will ensure a temporary peace amongst the various players, and the winner will win Rialta’s hand in marriage as well as the entire Corsi empire once the birth of a male heir comes about. Despite the danger, Caius volunteers to participate in payment for Ri saving his life. Beckett volunteers as well, and it becomes clear to Ri that they had not found Odette alive. Beckett refers to the contest as the Retribution Games.
As this book opens, it takes a step back a few days in time to Beckett and the Retribution Kings as they parted ways with Rialta and Vincent Corsi at the Phantom Brotherhood club. Corsi had left evidence for them at HQ showing that Odette had not survived after she was kidnapped. The video showing her being led out of the hotel by two men had given them hope that she could be found alive, so this is devastating news. The accompanying note blames Ares and the Phantom Brotherhood, but none believe it. They all blame Corsi. Beckett vows retribution for Odette, and her father, Monroe, informs him that his initiation will begin soon. Two trials, with the final task being retribution for Odette, after which Beckett becomes king.
Beckett has a plan. He and the RKs don’t’ let on to their suspicions. Instead, they help Corsi devise a game that will call a truce to the brewing war in Chicago while allowing Corsi the opportunity to take out some players and choose who to align himself with using Ri as a tool. But they will use Ri as a tool, too. Beckett plans to win the game and Ri’s hand in marriage. From there, he can get Corsi’s empire and destroy everything – the ultimate retribution. What they don’t expect at the announcement of the game is for Rialta to enter herself in the game as well.
Rialta considers running away after learning of Odette’s death, but her father holds her roommate Lucy’s safety over her head to keep her in line. While awaiting the first of the games, Ri attempts to recover her memories and piece together her past. She remembers that she has lived with Lucy and had a fairly normal life for the last couple of years, a privilege her father allows. She works as a waitress at the Red June Café. She is set to begin her junior year of college in the fall – and was enrolled in summer classes before her recent disappearance. She hadn’t yet decided on a major. In particular, she hopes to recall the identity of the man with grey eyes who she had escaped from on the day of Beckett’s wedding. While staying with her father, she also hopes to discover more information about Odette for her friends. It takes some time, but the memories begin to return to her until she finally remembers most everything. She might have some much-needed answers for Beckett, but knows he would never take her at her word so she can only play along with her father’s game and hope to protect him in the end.
The games get off to an interesting start and set the tone for things to come. The book advances the story about two weeks further, probably through July 5th. It closes with a cliffhanger and a devastating twist as Rialta makes yet another deal with her father in order to help Beckett and the RKs.
FROM TEMPTED HERO, BOOK THREE:
As book two closed, Ri had offered her father a deal in exchange for information on who killed Odette. She had wanted to free Beckett to get retribution so that he could go then go home. Her father demanded a truth that would cost Beckett his life, but Caius played hero and claimed it was he who had slept with Odette. Odette then played hero for Caius by making another deal with her father – anything he asked for in exchange for Caius’s life. Since Ri had violated the no intercourse rule that she herself had asked for, she agreed to remove that rule. This meant that Caius and the RK’s, including Beckett, were now safe despite breaking that rule previously, but it also meant that Ri faced more danger going forward. The other players would learn about the rule change, but they couldn’t be counted upon to play nicely. Her father scolded her for falling in love, reminding her that he had warned her against it. Caius left with the thumb drive Vincent had provided showing who was responsible for Odette’s death. What Ri didn’t know, or remember, was that the video pointed to her as the guilty party. Beckett had learned from Odette’s friend Emma that Odette didn’t want to get married and have children – at least not yet. She didn’t love Beckett. As that information slowly sank in, Beckett had begun to allow himself to move on and let go. He had begun to allow himself to feel for Ri, but when he saw the video implicating her in Odette’s death, he was overwhelmed with warring emotions.
As this book opens, Beckett struggles to accept what he saw in the video. He knows he must get retribution for Odette’s death, but he isn’t ready to let go of Rialta just yet. Yet if Rialta is to die, it will be at his hands. He fears that learning about Ri’s part in Odette’s death might trigger Caius and the others to act rashly. In a cautious move, he destroys the video and only tells the others that it wasn’t the evidence that Vincent Corsi had promised. Meanwhile, Ri begins to feel Beckett’s cold shoulder. But as Beckett gives her space, new men enter the picture. Kek terrifies her even more than her own father. She has never been safe from him, and she has suffered from his sadistic tendencies for years. When a mysterious note arrives on her bed reminding her that she has always been his, memories of the man with grey eyes return to her. As he continues to stalk her, it becomes clear that the RKs cannot keep her safe from him any more than her father could.
The games continue in this book, but the danger is ramped up considerably. Ri owes her father favors, which doesn’t help matters at all. Leighton Stone chooses the next game. The confident and charming man hopes to win Ri over. A week later Ri meets Ryker, leader of the Devil Crew, just prior to a new game. Ryker is generous but respectful, but Ri doesn’t trust her own judgment at this point. Throughout the week and a half that passes in this book, Beckett’s hot and cold behavior frustrates Ri, whose protective instincts are challenged by Beckett’s difficult behavior. It seems like they are both on top of the world when they let their chemistry take over, but Beckett always pulls away afterward. It will take a big twist right before it ends in a cliffhanger. Book four promises to turn everything upside down as a new reality settles in.
IN THIS BOOK:
As book three closed, Beckett and Ri survived a tortuous game that brought them closer. They had just made their escape to safety when Ri found herself betrayed – by Beckett and the RKs. Beckett had been called to complete the final test in his initiation as leader of the Retribution Kings, and the video evidence that Caius gave him pointed at Ri as Odette’s murderer. Retribution was required, or Beckett himself would be killed. As he pulled a gun at Ri in the center of an arena of gawking RKs, Odette returned from the dead to announce that Ri had actually saved her by helping her to disappear on her wedding night.
As this book opens, chaos breaks out in the arena. There seems to be a power struggle within the organization. Hayes, Lennox, and Gage help Ri to safely escape, while Odette is reunited with Caius and Beckett, her husband. Beckett and Ri both have some deep soul-searching to do in the aftermath. Beckett has unsettled business with the RKs and his wife, and Ri needs an escape, a dose of normal. Ryker, new leader of the Phantom Brotherhood, enters the picture as her new protector while she nurses a broken heart. She wants to understand why Beckett had her fall in love with him when he only ever meant to kill her. She mourns the loss as he returns to Odette. Odette owes everyone an explanation for her disappearance, and she has some rather shocking revelations that place Beckett between a rock and a hard place. His life will forever be changed. Beckett is furious to learn more about Odette’s deception, but he is even angrier that Ri left him with the wrong impression. She had every right to be angry with him; he knew he had handled things badly.
There are politics and deception to deal with as Beckett and Ri individually try to deal with the fallout of the initiation right. Kek also enters the picture as the tensions rise. Beckett reflects on his relationship with Enzo and his family, reflecting on what drove him away from them. Things are not as they seem. Nobody can be trusted. Alliances are formed, and sacrifices are made. There is tragedy to be dealt with as well. A new game brings it all to a dangerous head. This book ends with a devastating cliffhanger that will have you screaming! Book five cannot come fast enough and will be the beginning of the end of this six-part series.
One issue merits mention. *Spoilers* It was cruel of Beckett to allow Ri to do something that she might later regret. It was spun as him generously putting her needs first, but her actions were taken without knowing the truth that he denied her. That was selfish on his part. In punishing himself he really punished her, too. They are both in love with one another, and that carelessness, even if it eventually leads to nothing in this story, would lead to unnecessary complications in reality. Those complications could be very damaging. It opens doors that are hard to close. And others involved took a huge gamble, one that they should have known better than to take, given they also knew that Beckett and Ri were destined for one another. It probably works out fine here, but that is only because this is fiction. The result is that it feels rather gratuitous.
Beckett and Rialta’s dark story is about two people hoping to find true love but whose choices are stolen from them. Rialta is being forced into an arranged marriage, and Beckett’s true love story is based on a lie – it is essentially an arranged marriage as well. Their story is a slow burn. They have great chemistry at this point, but reality keeps getting in their way. Neither quite knows how to react to the other from one tumultuous moment to the next, though their underlying connection is unquestionable. They have a love/hate relationship as they battle their attraction to one another. They stand at odds when others get in the way of their happiness.
Beckett and Rialta’s story heats up as the story intensifies, providing all the surprises fans have come to expect. Angsty twists and turns keep readers on the edge of their seats as they scramble to find answers. Both Beckett and Rialta must battle themselves to deny the true depth of their feelings for one another as they work through the dangers that face them while dealing with the fallout of Odette’s return and the failed act of retribution. Their story is nicely written. It is plot-driven, with devastating twists and turns that sock you in the gut. The characters are nicely developed. They sometimes seem inconsistent, though. Some of the scenes feel gratuitous and convenient. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Beckett and Rialta. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fatal Princess is the fourth installment to Ella Miles thrilling and addictive Retribution Games series. We left off after Rialta and Beckett had just survived yet again another murderous Retribution Game which somehow has brought the two closer because of the experience. The two had just escape the craziness and found a protection when Rialta found that out that she was betrayed by the Retribution Kings and Beckett. The Retribution Kings believes that RI killed Odette and they wants retribution for the crimes against one of their own and Beckett is one whose suppose kill her as part of his initiation. However, before Beckett even had the chance to kill RI, Odette show up in the arena back from the dead and saves her life telling the Retribution Kings and Rialta actually saved her from being killed. Odette appearance triggered otter chaos of shooting. There is a massive power struggle going on between these powerful groups of organized criminal to see who gets be on top by taking out the Corsi family or by they taking out their rivals. Rialta removed from danger and is taken to safety by Hayes, Gage, and Lennox while Odette is reunited her husband and Caius. RI is heart broken because she had fallen in love with Beckett. RI is on the run as she's broken confused and just wants to be free.
There are so many things going on lots of manipulations as this story heats up. Odette told Beckett that she taken by Enzo Black and that he had step down as Retribution King if not they will be back and the next that back she won't be so lucky as the last time because they will kill her. For Odette restitution they wanted him to start a war with the Black Empire. Beckett doesn't trust Odette and believes that there is more to the story than she is telling him and that she knows more about Kek than she is letting on and if he does not comply with her demands she will kill he and Rialta. Kek the man who Rialta fears more than her father takes her from the safe house that no one was suppose to know about in middle of the night. He warns her about Caius the man who saved her. He had made a deal with Beckett that no one was aware of except Caius and Odette. He loved her so much that he has to sacrifice a chance at his own happiness in order to save Rialta plus he had to initiate a war between him and Enzo Black Empire to save her those were the terms given to him. We were given a lot of answers to some of our burning questions of this mind blogging rollercoaster ride of a series. However, as Ella answered some of our questions she throw us into a tailspin with burning questions, and motive.
Fatal Princess is dramatic and suspenseful and is with lots of manipulations, danger, lies, betrayals, deception, power struggles, trust issues, rivalry, alliances being formed, violence, heart break, action, hurdles, chaos, and hurt. This story was incredibly written with exceptional characters with adventures, blackmailing, backstabbing, half truths, and tons of secrets. The story was easy to follow and Ella left her readers once again with her masterful storytelling hanging from the ledge anxiously waiting for the next book.

This is book four in The Retribution Games and it continues Beckett and Rialta's story. This book carries on from where the last book ends and that is when Odette is alive and has been hiding away but for what reason and what is she hiding and also what does that mean for Ria and Beckett as they are in love with each other but he is still married so now she needs to get away to safety before she is killed even though she is not safe any where. As the games continue who will live and who will die as a war is coming and decisions will have to be made but who will be the victors and who will call only time will tell. Omg what a roller coaster ride of emotions and what a cliff hanger and I can't wait to read the next book to see what would happen next. I couldn't put this book down and I read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning as it was so addictive and a real page turner. This book has so many twists and turns along the way with so much action that kept you on the edge of your seat but remember that these are not standalone books and they must be read in order to follow the complete story but it is definitely worth reading. Ella Miles is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention as her books have so much depth to each story that you really need to read them and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Obstacles and impossibly heartbreaking decisions
Fatal Princess: Retribution Games Book 4 by Ella Miles is another dark part of the Retribution Games journey. Ri and Beckett have a brief reprieve only to be thrown into yet another viper pit of dead ends, obstacles and decisions that cause heartbreak. It seems digging deep for resilience is the only way for these two characters and those that are in the midst of all the turmoil, violence and machinations of this game.
The plot continues and thickens as characters come back to life, creates more havoc and deviousness is uncovered. There is so much more to come as two more subplots are introduced that is going to be beyond difficult, conflicting and more complex than can be imagined. Something this author loves to give her readers by keeping them guessing!
Overall, this part of The Retribution Games flies by and leaves the reader begging for more. Waiting for book 5 is going to seem to take an eternity. Ri and Beckett are stuck between a rock and a hard place yet again and their current fate is hanging in the balance. Definitely an intriguing read that has me wondering how anything can be resolved?

I'm sorry, but I have to stay with a rating of 3 stars which is what I've given the other books in this series. Yes, it's compelling and the cliffhanger at the end means I will likely go straight into the next book, but the use of memory loss/hypnosis has become a crutch in this series. Chapters are written, then Ri forgets everything that happened. It's unbelievable and unfair. The author should stand behind what's written and make the characters work through it. Don't use cheap ploys to make it easier.
Odette is alive which isn't surprising given that this has happened in other series by this author. She's come back a different person, also not surprising. Now that we've been made to care about Ri, the author makes it easy by turning Odette into the bad guy. How convenient. Beckett is suddenly so sure of how he feels but he's been conflicted until now. And what's with the method Ri uses to unbreak her heart? Seriously?
The author should eliminate the unnecessary twists, use less memory loss ploys, and consolidate this story into one or two books. Perhaps in that process, some of the more unbelievable occurances would be eliminated. This book ends with a cliffhanger that will make you want to jump to the next book right away.

I cannot believe how this story ended. After a heartbreaking and then happy story, once again Ri looses her memories and forgets everything she went through with Beckett, almost. This story was exciting and had my emotions going on a roller coaster ride. I was sad, then curious, then happy, and right back to shocked when Ri looses her memory again. The ending had me biting my nails at who she was going pick and who would die. The way Ella Miles ended the story has me anxiously and eagerly anticipating the next story to find out what exactly happened and who survived. Although, we know Beckett will, I am also hoping their new friend survived as well because he seems like a really good guy and a really loyal leader. Now I am biting my nails waiting on the next story to come out so I can find out what exactly happened. I would definitely recommend this book. Ri and Beckett have had a really emotional and devastating story and I really want to find out how it ends.

Wow! That ending though!!! Ella Miles is queen of the crazy endings that leave you craving more. This one seemed a little shorter than the others but that could of just been because I read it super fast. Because once you start this wild ride you don't want it to end. It's an insane roller-coaster of feelings and emotions that leave you wondering which way is up. Lots of questions were answered but it also left a lot of new questions. There was one scene that really bothered me so beware of triggers. I didn't agree with Ri for doing what she did to Beckett, I think she was being spiteful and selfish. Other than that I loved the whole story!
There were parts with them together where you could finally be happy for them but of course that doesn't last. Some new players are added to the story and some twists you never see coming will keep you glued to the pages. I can't wait for the next book! Would definitely recommend!

This might be one of the most brutal cliffhangers @EllaMiles has ever given us🙌🏼
With how the previous book ended, this book started with a bang! As always, there was suspense, secrets, longing, passion, sacrifices and romantic and platonic relationships.
This book had more reveals but not everything is out in the air yet.
I enjoyed the storyline but felt that near the middle it became a bit repetitive (Ri loses her memory, Beckett makes a deal and sacrifices, repeat, repeat). Fortunately, that part wasn't stretched and the storyline is moved forward. The ending, woah, omg, I'm still hoping Ryker, Beckett and Caius are alive!!!

Surprises & Hidden Secrets
Plenty of surprises within these pages of book 4. People whom gain the trust of Ri are not to be taken at face value. Secrets are held close to those who refuse to let us know who Ri should trust. Who do we cheer for to win in the Retribution Games & win Ri with her father's empire? Beckett has declared war against the Black Empire. Too many questions for which I'm hoping the next book will have the answers. This novel has kept my interest with so many interactions of the characters & I wonder what will happen with Ri & Beckett's true love for each other? Will they get their HEA or will Ri have another strong man (the last remaining man in the Games) taking her as his bride. This story just keeps getting more & more interesting.

Beckett and Ri may have been successful in the latest challenge of the Retribution Games however the danger is far from over for Ri. Beckett finds himself in a precarious situation where he must put aside his feelings for Ri or the consequences could be dire until the last person they ever expected to see throws everything in chaos.
Ri is feeling deceived by someone she thought she could trust. She is left reeling which allows a threat from her past to return and turn her life upside down once again.
With each surprise and secret that is revealed it leaves more questions than answers especially when it comes to the motivations of the characters. It all escalates into a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering what could possibly happen next.

Gutted, just gutted is what this book did to me. This time I thought that we were going to get some answers and we just learn that the lies and betrayal go way deeper than we know. The drama in this book is so heart retching, whether it be Ri, Beckett ,or Ryker each is time Ella makes us think we are getting over one tragedy she sends us more and more. The lengths that Ri and Beckett go to in order to save/love each other is what makes this book so good and me coming back for more. This does end on a major cliffhanger and my mind is spinning with theories on how this will all be played out.

This series just keeps getting better!!!
If we thought Beckett’s and Ri’s relationship was complicated before... wow were we wrong.
This book has my heartbreaking over and over again.
The twists just keep on coming and now Beckett must choose between Ro and his family.
Plenty of action, suspense, passion, betrayal and lies.
Just when I think things might finally be going in the right direction... BAM another twist, lost memories and more unbelievable choices.
And let’s not talk about the cliffhanger at the end

Just when you think you have a handle on the story…
I’m not sure how Ella Miles sleeps at night with all the twists and turns and secrets she is always throwing her characters into but I’m fascinated with these stories. There are always more exciting and surprising than you can possibly expect. The twists and turns keep happening and just when you think you know where the story is going, surprise….you missed something. Fast paced tale. Read them in order or you’ll miss things that you need (even if you can’t figure out how they’ll end up). Plan your time, you won’t want to stop once you start the book.

The plot thickens!
Things take an interesting turn here as we see the key players begin to make their moves for the finale. In the last book, all the loose threads started to weave together but here, they start to interweave into a complicated web that has the reader eager for more.
It was thrilling to read, waiting to see what the next layer to this complicated plot would reveal itself next. You begin to question character loyalties and that added an edge to this book that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The romance evolves itself as well and I can't wait to see where this goes!

With the shock return of Odette will the truth of her 'murder' be revealed? As the Retribution games continue for Ri's marriage, will Beckett still play along now his wife is back? Does betrayal run deeper and further afield than even Beckett could imagine? Will the man Ri's been running from finally come to light? What of the Retribution Kings?
This is book 4 in the series that just keeps getting better, the twists and turns don't stop! And that cliffhanger! Well written filled with suspense, desires, action, betrayal and Retribution! Ella grabs your attention and holds it through out!

Loved reading the engaging and engrossing fourth book in the Retribution Games series by the phenomenal and amazing author, Ella Miles. When Odette comes back, Ri is released from being killed, Kek is back destroying Ri's memory, and Ri doesn't know what to believe when she sees Odette and Beckett happily back together. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and riveting story from the first page of the story until the last page leaving the reader full of anticipation for the next book in the series. Can't wait for the fifth book in the series!

Odette is alive and Ri was in on it the whole time except her memory had been wiped! Beckett will have some very very hard decisions to make now. Even though he is in love with one, he will not be able to be with her when all is said and done. More secrets are exposed and more will have to be made. Accusations are made…a family in peril…deaths on the horizon…a deadly enemy turned…and most of all…a love lost that will cost others~ Join Beckett and Ri in the next deadly chapter of their journey~ who will survive this round?

4.5 Stars! This is the fourth book of the Retribution series and it does not disappoint!! There is tons going on and many characters that all have an affect on the main characters. Who should Ri believe? Are Odette and Beckett and item? Lots of action and emotion in this book of the series. Can't wait to see what happens next. Ella Miles has a way of writing really intricate plot lines that keep you reading to try and figure out what is going to happen.

OMG, so many more secrets, more heartbreak, and a threat of war with the Black. empire. Even though Odette is back, she has secrets too and is a calculating evil woman who will do everything and anything to keep Beckett for herself knowing he loves Ri. Will Beckett be able to keep up the farce? This just gets more intense and intriguing with each new installment. Who did Ri kill after the next game……Ryker? Caius? Or Beckett? Wow, what an ending!

Just when you think you see the light an evil twist pops up. This book is a twisted ride that takes you on a journey you never saw coming and leaves you holding your breath. The scenes between Beckett and Ri are seriously hot but can the couple truly catch a break and have their happily ever after or were they doomed from the beginning. I cannot wait to read the next book to see who/how Ri manages to make her way back to Beckett if she can at all.
