Down on my luck… that’s what people would say is happening. I’m single, although no surprise there. Orphaned. Again, I have been for a while now. But now, I get to add unemployed to that impressive resume. The job on the Christmas tree farm was just supposed to be something to get me by, keep a roof over my head. It wasn’t supposed to be one of those life-altering jobs. But that’s only until he shows up. So, I guess the jokes on me…
Let’s just say that mysterious is an understatement.
It’s really no surprise that I blatantly ignore my gut and boss’s warnings to stay the hell away. Danger has always been my friend. I guess you can say it’s in my blood.
Which now makes sense, why I’ve never been satisfied by love, life… sex.
And when our secrets come to life. It no longer surprises me why we were drawn to one another.
