No One's Coming uncovers the secretive underground industry of platform speaking. An industry where speakers can make a million dollars in a day and anybody is one skill away from being the speaker. A skill that nobody had revealed the secrets to - until now. Ethan Donati's crippling social anxiety took his voice from him. He went onto the stage to take it back and uncovered the secrets of million dollar speaking in the process. He considered himself a lost cause. His work colleagues had never heard his voice, he couldn't look his friends or family in the eye; the world had reduced to a lonely stage with no friends, no lights, no audience - no one was coming. But this idea - that no one is coming to save you, to do the hard work for you, that no one can speak for you - speaker a transformation that started on the streets of Sydney and ended in a million dollar week in front of thousands. In part one of No One's Coming, Ethan shares the lonely path out of extreme social anxiety and the lessons, mindset and years of personal development that brought him back into the fold.
In part two, you take the stage - Ethan breaks down the formula, step by step, to his million dollar success and proves that absolutely anybody - including you - could be the next speaker to earn a million dollars in a week.
Public speaking has always gotten me in extreme stress. Just saying a thankyou or a thought of the day infront of the school assembly had my heart pounding. That's one of the reasons for me to pick up this book.
This is the journey of Ethan Donati from being an extremely shy introvert to a million dollar speaker. Public speaking is frightful to a lot of people among both extroverts and introverts. The very thought of doing it makes them anxious. But then it's not an impossible task or talent. You just need to know the way to fix it. And that's what the author takes on through in the book. His journey of making his impossible to I'm possible. His journey of driving away the social anxiety and becoming one of the best in the field.
It was a great read for me personally. Very informative and easy on the reader. This also makes me think how just fixing the problem within us can solve and save us from a lot instead of complaining like, "oh why is it like this with just me?" Or " If only I didnt have this one flaw?" "If only I was better at this?" But the thing is no one is better unless they try to better themselves.
Theres a line in the introduction part itself that I want to mention about. The authors speaks about how most people blame others or the circumstances for not achieving what they want. They wait for someone else to do it. This is so true. Isn't it? I mean think about it if someone out there could do it, acheive all of it and more in the same given circumstances why couldn't you do that? Doesn't that mean the problem is in you and not around you. It's on you, how you manage despite the circumstances and people. Isnt that what takes it to become the acheiver? It's all about our mindset. We often concentrate on the problem and panic instead of relaxing our brain and then brainstorming to find the solution in calm. We dont utilise and train the one thing we should to the fullest, our brain! All you need to do is train it.
Anyway the book is great for those all who wanna work on their public speaking issues and also for those who work in the field of motivational speakers. This also tells us about how the field is like or works like and different factors of it. You can go for it.
In the words of Stephan Hawking, 'Quite people have the loudest mind'. This book is fluently jotted down by Ethan Donati. In the book 'No One's Coming: From Social Anxiety To Million Dollar Speaker' the author speaks about a topic that is not enough to be welcomed enough after its presence in our surroundings.
According to the book, the author considers himself a lost cause. The author had witnessed the most strenuous phase of one's life i.e. being alone. The book also states that instead of expecting any assistance from any second platform. One must gather their strength.
Ethan didn't lose hope and gathered solidity And one fine day he acquired success. These words from the book also state that if one is determined enough then it doesn't matter how many times one falls. They'll stand again and achieve their aim.
When I add my point of view about the title it is inviting and made me read this one entirely. Also, the coverage is directly connected with the content of this book. This book also guided me on the accurate path to achieve success.
Although this book wasn't for me, as I don't plan to be a public speaker anytime in the near future due to the current circumstances but I read it and completed it.
This book chronicles Ethan Donati's journey from suffering from crippling anxiety to being a million-dollar speaker. The author has done great work enlisting everything he knows about the public speaking industry.
As a fellow sufferer of anxiety, it's difficult for me to fathom the kind of courage it must have taken for him to go on stage and speak for the first time. Anxiety creates havoc in regular life let alone while facing one's greatest fear.
Even the most cold-hearted person would marvel reading about his journey and it's something to pat his back on.
For me, this book dragged a little and I read it at regular intervals as maybe I am not the right audience for it.
This book is for everyone who has experience in public speaking in school or elsewhere and believes he/she can become a public speaker given the right circumstances.
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited in India and can be read for free.
