Ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve wanted to write. And, I guess like all authors, I’ve always loved to read. Mostly, I’ve liked books about animals, especially wolves, which have always held a particular fascination for me. It didn’t take long to realize, however, there were very few fiction novels written about wolves. Plenty of werewolves, but no actual wolves. This got me thinking, and soon I was dreaming up a storyline about a wolf pack, its many travails, and a young she-wolf destined to take its lead. When I actually sat down and started writing, I could only dream of where it might go; but before I knew it, Shadow was born.

I was 14 when Shadow was published as the first book of the Wolves of the Forest series. A year or so later, Amber Eyes of the Devil made its debut. There are still several more Wolves of the Forest stories waiting in line, so more books will follow as soon as I can transfer my cluttered thoughts to the written page. After that, who knows? I’m excited to see where this writing passion may take me.

My parents, two younger siblings, and I live in rural Minnesota. We are a very close-knit group, and all are incredibly supportive. Our family lives on a quiet, wooded plot of land where I have room to wander and gather inspiration. When I’m not writing, I play defense for my high school varsity soccer team and enjoy creating digital art. My dream is to be able to write full-time without starving, and someday I hope to achieve that goal.

Shadow: Wolves of the Forest Book 1 included many characters I grew to love as the story progressed. The development of Shadow from start to finish was a coming of age plot I won't forget. The pack dynamics and interactions with other wolves were well intertwined in addition to the clashes with humans and other predators. I'm looking forward to more books in this series!
