It’s a god-eat-god world and the RAGE KING is hungry!
Colt Holliday has the power of a god, and he's learning to control it. But that means gathering women to forge runes of power that give both him and his wives power undreamed of by mortal men.
Colt conquered the vampires, but now a pack of werewolves has moved into his territory. Accompanying the pack is a heartbreakingly beautiful wolf girl who has clawed her way into Colt’s life and bed, but taking in the stray has also turned his little blue house upside-down. Can he tame this wild creature of lust before the God of the Moon and the Hunt destroys everything Colt holds dear?
I really loved Rage King 1 but this 2nd book is awesome and just needs to be read. Colt, Gilly and Eliza have killed off the head of the vampire clan, and have taken charge of Firestone Alley, leaving the Tomte engineer Barney Bafflestone and the rest of the Tomte group to re-build the ruins of Vincent Isaac’s mansion. However others have eyes on Firestone Alley, namely the werewolves are aiming to make this their own. Colt and Gilly have the powers of Gods within them, and they are learning how to manage these powers and to upgrade these through magical runes which they acquire through sex. Barney works on their Gaia orbs in order for them to upgrade their stats for the upcoming war with the Howlett pack led by Lonny Lobo who is also aspiring to become a god. Lonny though, is sacrificing his own pack to gain strength even going so far as to harm Pia ,his own sister, who runs to Colt for help. Pia is rude, arrogant and wild and makes it difficult to be helped but Gilly and Colt both realise that she acts this way because she is alone and scared. Eliza takes longer to warm up to Pia but once she does they know that she is the next woman to join their harem and the heat is on. Mr Gentleman of the Umbra Alliance warns Colt to stop his battles, curb his rage, and to leave Plainsong City alone but Colt cannot do this, not when one of his own is being threatened. Who is Mr. Gentleman really and do they have cause to worry about him? I really loved this book, it is full of battle scenes and so much love and hot sex scenes and with a new threat on the horizon I cannot wait to read book 3!
poor red i wanted to cuddle her and give her a spanking all at the same time. pure bratty princess behavioral issues but also so broken 💔 I liked the intrigue but its also a little clunky. the way the game mechanics work with upgrades without the visuals and deeper explanations its just white noise but I got enough of it to let it go. ...I don't have the narrated version of book 3 I do have the digital copy but I love the all the accents this has the narrator she does an epic job so ill wait until I can listen to it.
This was, oddly enough, a bit boring. Pia was so annoying that I couldn’t fathom why they’d like her, and the plot was so clunkingly obvious I found myself tuning out. Really Colt’s only power is punching, then punching harder if that doesn’t work. It’s like a tedious shounen manga. “This time I’m really going to punch you!” Yawn. Not helped by the two new words of slang that have to be squeezed into every page, often more than once. Banjaxed. Banjaxed. Banjaxed. Annoying isn’t it? And ‘fooking’ is what people say in the north of England, not the south of Ireland. Anyway. In two minds about the next one because these characters kind of blow. Not in a good way, although there’s plenty of that too I suppose.
Aaron Crash has done it again. If you liked Rage King, you will love book two. It's got more action, more destruction of property, and more rune creation than before. A new enemy has shown his face and tensions are high. The God of Destruction does what he does best, he rages. Mess with his women, he'll rip your arms off and smack you with them. All hail the Rage King.
What a fun. World you've built for our imagination to play in!!! I for one love the way this series is developing!!! A slow progression for the MC and his ladies, as well as some excellent adult fantasy activities!!!!
Solid book overall, but just didn't quite hit the bullseye for a 5. If you liked the first one this is a logical progression. I won't waste a lot of time on a review, but I'm already on to the next one so the series still has my attention.
Just as things seemed to be going well for our hero another threat pops up! Can't seem to catch a break. Now he has to fight his way out of another situation!
