It is a good book but a bit outdated in the particulars. The heart of the discussion is excellent and the last chapter on the Holy Spirit is wonderful.

While I don't agree with some of His exegetical conclusion (which may be outdated), in this book, Kenneth Wuest's "The Practical Use of The Greek New Testament", the author did a great job in his constant invitation to read and study the God-breathed scriptures. He also demonstrated a strong grip on verbal inspiration, insistence to depend upon the Holy Spirit in the study, and the necessity of Spirit-filled and holy life for effective service.

Here are some quotes.

"The Bible expositor who brings to his study of the New Testament a keen appreciation and understanding of the tools of Greek scholarship will always do better work than the one who does not use them. The Holy Spirit can better use a man who has a clear understanding of the Word and presents it in a clearer and simpler way than He can the man who does not have such a keen, deep insight into its meaning. The Word is the tool the Spirit uses. The sharper the tool, the better work He can do in the hearts of those who listen." (37)

"The Greek New Testament has a message for each mind. Some of the truth in it has never yet been seen by anyone else. It is waiting like a virgin forest to be explored. It is fresh for every mind that explores it, for those who have passed this way before have left it all here. It still has on it the dew of the morning and is ready to refresh the newcomer."
—A.T. Robertson, The Minister and His Greek New Testament (K.Wuest, "The Practical Use of Greek New Testament". p. 57-58

"Where the pastor is fully yielded to the Spirit so that He might glorify the LORD Jesus in his study and exposition of the Word, such deficiencies as a lack of a brilliant mind and an unusual expertness in handling the Greek text, are counter-balanced by the illumination afforded by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit can give one a pair of Greek eyes to see, a Greek mind to think, and a Greek tongue to expound the wonders of truth in the Greek text. The riches of the Greek New Testament are not reserved only for the pastor who has a brilliant mind and scholarly gifts. The Holy Spirit, the Great Interpreter, is able to make these available to the average Greek student of the Word." (111)

"One of the most heart-breaking and deplorable things in the 2000 years of church history, is the almost universal neglect by preachers, of the Greek New Testament, with the consequent impoverishment of its message... Only the one who has fallen in love with the Greek New Testament, only those who have tasted its riches, can appreciate the loss involved in its neglect." (115)

"Every word is alive with divine life because chosen by the Holy Spirit and energized with divine fire from the altars of heaven itself. There it lies, the Greek New Testament, vibrant with life and with the message it is eager to impart." (148)

"There is no premium put upon ignorance. An educated ministry that is spiritual, is one of the most beautiful things in the world... trained to his finger-tips, filled with the Holy Ghost, presents the ideal combination for effective service." (142)
