Learning Responsibility, Respect and Kindness from her Daddy
Growing older and growing wiser don’t necessarily go together. And, intelligence—being book-smart—is no indicator of possessing judgement. College freshman Miranda (referred to by the author in her postscript comments as Michelle) is in college on an academic scholarship which is intended to cover tuition, books, housing and meals. But Miranda’s academic intelligence doesn’t correspond with work ethic or judgement.
She perceives the monthly payment of scholarship money as her own slush fund, intended to provide satisfactions for Miranda’s desires, not necessarily for paying her rent. But, Miranda is aware that she has been in college for 5 months because that is the number of months she has not paid her rent. But rather than use her scholarship monies to cover the rent, she has offered Carl, the complex’s property manager, a dumpy man in his 20’s, an alternative payment—a hand job—a remuneration that has satisfied Carl, but which did not go into the property owner’s bank account.
So, with the 1st of the month approaching, Miranda is not surprised to hear a knock on her door. And anticipating a rent collection, she goes to the bathroom to retrieve her lotion and tissues to facilitate her rent “payment”. But, to her surprise, when she opens the door, the rent collector is not lumpish, 20-something Carl. Rather the man at the door is a very handsome, fit, mature male about 40 years old who introduces himself as Deacon Wise, the owner of the apartment complex. And, in addition to his visit being a courtesy call to introduce himself, he is also interested in discovering why the rent payment has not been collected for the previous 5 months.
As the conversation between owner and renter continues, she learns that Carl has been terminated, and in apology for the indignity she has experienced in her 5-months of "alternative" rent payment, which is now in arrears, but will be forgiven. Deacon says that he will also understand if she chooses to press charges against Carl, and that he, as owner, will cooperate. But going forward, she must pay her rent with money, not alternative services.
Miranda, however, explains that she doesn’t have the money, but offers to continue with the previous mode of payment which Deacon refuses. And, as the owner and his renter become better acquainted, it becomes clear that money is not the real issue. Miranda is a spoiled, self-indulgent young woman who needs to learn responsibility, respect and kindness and Deacon determines that he is the older man—the daddy—who can help her develop those qualities.

The Benefits Of The Revised Terms -
I just recently discovered Jess Winters book and I can say this books are a wonderful find. Miranda was overwhelmed when she discovered her agreement the property manager was over, however, what she didn’t count on was the new agreement she made with Deacon, who was the owner of the building. The storyline was not only about steamy encounters, but also about guiding a young lady to achieve her full potential in every aspect of her life. This is a short story, that defies tradition and expectations, but it will definitely keep you entertained. This is a definite must read.

Our heroine is trying to make a deal with our hero to cover the rent, but she didn't quite expect what he asked for. That one gives her something to think about.
This book is two of the series, but they just share a theme. No prior reading is required to enjoy this story.
This is a short erotic romance with an age gap and breeding theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a fun cast of characters that keeps thing simple and focused. I really liked both our hero and heroine and the accommodation they came to. Overall, the story made for a fun evening read and I look forward to more from this author.

Another quick steamy read . When Miranda couldn’t afford her rent she paid Carl in kind . She’s expecting Carl but when she opens the door her eyes meet mr drop dead gorgeous who tells her he owns the building and he’s here to collect rent . She offers Deacon the same as Carl but he decides on taking so much more leaving Miranda and readers breathless.

Miranda (h) is a bratty, irresponsible young woman whose landlord, Deacon/Daddy (H), is going to teach her about paying her bills on time, responsibility, getting better grades, treating people better, making better life choices, and growing up.
