Rate this book
Michel Steele was gorgeous; a ladies man, & according to Jessica White, spoiled beyond belief. It was none of her business how he lived. She was just jealous, and what right did she have telling him how to live or who see. After all they sure wasn’t dating. When Michael wasn’t arguing with Jessica Nana’s home health nurse he was working. His latest assignment, a rash of local robberies had hit close to home. His grandmother’s apartment was broken into and Jessica was hurt. He knew this would mean more time spent at his grandmother’s apartment. Joseph Steele his uncle was to blame. He’d been playing the guilt card for years, living on the streets, ignoring his responsibilities. Michaels Uncle Joe was a doctor; there was no need for him to be homeless. Nana sure didn’t need to be living in K-town just so she could be close to her destitute son, who never even bothered to visit. His Uncle always claimed he was hurting, well Michael understood pain better than anyone; it was his dad that died. Joe wasn’t helping Nana by flaunting his grief or giving up his life. He was only causing more troubles and being a constant reminder to Nana that she’d not only lost one son, but two. Working with Officers Angelo & Joe Morganson was a nice distraction. Michael wanted to put these punks away. He needed a break from being Nana’s caregiver and he needed to sort out his feelings for Jess. Was he trying to show his friends and family that he could have a stable relationship or was he really starting to fall in love?
