About the author

Weymouth Tyree Jordan joined the faculty of Florida State University in 1949 and served until his death in 1968. He was acting head of the Department of History from 1954-1955 and head of the department until 1964.

The roster is a valuable resource. The regimental histories are bare-bones, but useful as starting points. Students of this history should be grateful for the tremendous effort that went into producing these volumes. I am.
