On the heels of a family tragedy, Julie Kerrig, a beautiful young woman recently promoted within the law enforcement community, begins to follow in her late father's footsteps. With a broken heart, she attempts to suppress her love for God and her ex-fiance, Trent Green, but slowly uncovers the fact that things aren't always what they seem.

As a series of strange and horrific events unfold in Castle Reef, Julie finds herself amidst a battle with an unknown force that threatens to destroy all who would stand in its way. She realizes that she will have to rely on her foundation of faith, the man she still loves dearly, as well as her close friends, to save the coastal town and perhaps even the world.

Fantastic book! Mystery, small town characters, faith, and a little romance make this a wonderful read. I loved the main character, Julie and her strength. Hope there’s a sequel!

"There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact." There is something in Castle Reef for readers of all kinds to enjoy. For me, the book's strengths lie in how it develops the characters and the challenges they must overcome. It contains elements of mystery, crime, sci-fi, and romance. The theme of the story explores a struggle between the goodness of faith and corruption that can exist within buisness and government. This is a strong start in the Castle Reef series and for an author's first novel in my opinion.

The book is a great read, and moves along at a good pace. I liked that I couldn't figure out the plot and what the outcome may be. I found this book very entertaining!

There's something fishy going on

This ended up being a pretty interesting story. I'll be honest, you can tell it's self published or independently published because it's a bit all over the place with all the story lines going on and how abrupt the transitions are but there were enough cliff hangers to keep you going to find out what was going on. I'm impressed with how it all came together.

Great read for fans of mystery, crime and faith. The characters are interesting and well developed, and the storylines all resolve well at the end. I was more invested than I realized by the time I made it to the final chapters. Recommended!

suspenseful Christian mystery

I was immediately hooked when I started reading this book. I have been looking for a new Christian mystery author and think I have found one. This is the first book of a trilogy and look forward to reading them all.
