Joel Levy is a writer and journalist specializing in science and history. He is the author of over a dozen books, including The Little Book of Conspiracies and Scientific Feuds: From Galileo to the Human Genome Project. Phobiapedia is his first book for children.
I liked that this book had pictures and very interesting theories and plenty of facts about phenomenon that have been around for centuries or is relatively new. The book is divided into four sections. Part one is on the mind: ESP, can the mind heal? Positive thinking, precognition. Part two is on the spirit: ghosts, magic, and religion. Part three is about natural mysteries: can humans catch fire? The pyramids, crop circles, big foot, fairies...real or fake? Part four is all about UFOs and aliens. Of course more up to date information can be found on the internet but this book is a great compact source of information that’s a good place to start for anyone interested in mysterious topics.
Interesting read. Somethings haven't changed a lot in 17 years. With much there are still more questions than answers on the subject of the unexplained.
