The adventures of the Zodiac Cusp Kids are laid to rest in the raw, cold February of 1989. Something Final is the last of the stories drawn from Angie's diaries. Kept safely hidden for decades, they tell how the kids spent their teenage years—working with their mentor, Mr. Rakow, and Jenny's mom, Lorraine, who leads a coven, to come to the life-changing conclusion of their journey together.

Reading Sarah Dale’s Something Final was a bittersweet thing. On the one hand, the action-packed conclusion of the Zodiac Cusp Kids’ adventures was immensely satisfying. On the other hand, I will miss Jenny, Angie, David, and the rest of the crew, as well as the colorful world full of witchcraft, alternate dimensions, and fantastic creatures Sarah gave life to. I can’t wait to find out what she’s up to next!

The final book in the series was an action packed thrill ride and while I'm sad the series is over, I did enjoy how it was all wrapped up. One thing I always enjoyed about the series was the tie-ins to history and 80's culture. This one focused a little on the beginnings of the AIDS epidemic and touched on some pretty emotional subjects for the kids.

Overall, the end is really just the beginning and I know the Zodiac Cusp Kids have many more adventures ahead of them. A deeply enjoyable book and series!
