Heaven isn’t the dream; it’s my wild heart they set ablaze.
Delilah Hand-me-downs, runner-up, dubbed the faulty spare by everyone around me I was used to feeling like a burden. The love of my life knew exactly how that felt too and now I was haunted by their ghost. Moving on felt impossible so I wished for my heart condition to reunite me with them. Living in the shadow of my identical twin sister’s perfection, I rejected everyone’s love around me. Even my best friend who was hopelessly in love with me. It wasn’t until I didn’t have to choose that I realized I could love on my own terms.
Harris Expectations, embarrassment, and all the rules I was willing to break got me kicked out of my controlling family at eighteen. That didn’t stop me from spitting on our family name when I rejected law school just to follow Delilah wherever she went. That landed me in medical school but instead of saving lives, I was saving you from a bad orgasm when I put all my knowledge into making the finest toys. Imagining Delilah using something I created only fueled stalking her in the middle of the night. But I wasn’t the only one obsessed with her. Marc was willing to cross lines to make sure she was ours.
Marc Honor, loyalty, fear, and… lies felt like the family motto. Being a Sotelo meant living up to the bad reputation. My mother was a legend, a mistress, and now I was paying for her absence when my father initiated us into the family business. Fresh meat I was supposed to be married off, be the father to new heirs, when all I wanted was to be myself. All I wanted was her. Even if that meant taking what I wanted. Even if she didn’t know she wanted us yet. Together we felt like heaven, even if we were considered a special brand of nightmares.

Elice Nange is a Contemporary and Billionaire Romance author.
Outside of writing, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading. She is also obsessed with Maya Angelou, ice cream, and the color purple ~ not necessarily in that order.
The book starts off at the beginning ; with Dahlia before her wedding (or lack of ). We get everything from Delilah POV. So if you read the first book it’s kind of like a refresh almost. This book is definitely a slow burn. We get to Harris , and Mark battles with Delilah as friends before it leads to their actual relationship. You get to see their relationship from all 3 POVs. I love their relationship. It’s not your normally typical relationship but I think they all fit well together they all need something from each other that they can only get with that person. I enjoyed watching the growth of the characters as they tried to work through there problems.
I can’t wait to see who the 3rd book is about ….
I received an ARC for my honest opinion of the book.
Delilah is a complicated woman, she's always lived in her twin sisters shadow, and for the past 16 years holding the heartbreak of a first love break up. Her constant has been her best friend Harris, who has been in a long term relationship with Marc, a man she also finds herself extremely attracted to, but he is 100% gay, or is he? I found this an story had me intrigued. The dynamics of the friendship and the fact that they were all "damaged" with their own baggage. Broken.
Why is she now getting such different vibes from both Harris and Marc? Unknown to Delilah both these men are in love with her, and both have decided they have waited long enough to make their move and claim her. Thrown in with this are family secrets, lies and untruths, it doesn't get more complicated, bringing past hurts to the surface, trying to protect her sister Daliah and navigating her new blooming relationship with Marc, protective, dominant and caring and Harris, the gentle, loving caring, they each filled her needs in their own way... Lucky Girl !!!!
I enjoyed this read although at times it felt like it felt a little disjointed, gaps, and too much detail of things that maybe weren't necessary and short on the details we wanted. This was a good book and I think it would have been great with a better flow and more on the relationship between Delilah and the 2 hot men!! Intense and Lust filled, but the finer parts of love were missing. Delilah's biggest issue was of her first love breaking her heart and yet she still holds on to everything about it, which after while it kind of ticked me off. She used it like a pr4otection shield and it became a little tedious. I'm not sure if there will be a second book on this thruple, but i do hope there is because the ending leaves us on a clifftop without real clarity and the epilogue frustrated me and felt a little meaningless. This is why I rated as a four star instead of five, the ending made me feel she hadn't really let go and the epilogue was there not to clarify but to feel that its a matter that is not closed, leaving me in fear for Marc and Harris and definitely I became pretty attached to those hot protective men !!!
BOOK: Touch of Heaven AUTHOR: Elice Nange PLOT: Delilah was used to having hand-me-downs and living in her twin sister's shadow. She lost the love of her life and wants her heart condition to reunite them in death. She feels like she's not allowed to love on her terms and she's even pushed everyone away and rejected the love that they've shown her. Harris has a lot of expectations put on him, he's brought embarrassment to his family, and he was willing to break the rules, which leads to his controlling family kicking him out the moment he turns eighteen. He continues to spit on the family name when he decides not to go to law school so that he can follow Delilah wherever she goes. He lands himself in medical school but instead of saving lives, he's making the best adult toys that can bring Delilah pleasure. He stalks her even more when he thinks of Delilah using something he created. He's obsessed with her. But, he's not the only one obsessed with her. A man named Marc is as well. Marc comes from a family that has a bad reputation and he has to live up to the bad reputation, being a member of the Sotelo family and all. His mother was a legendary mistress, but now he has to live without her presence since he was being brought into the family business. His only job was to get married and raise new heirs to the family business, but all he wants is Delilah and he's willing to stop at nothing to make sure that she's his and Harris's. this book was a great addition to the Sin and Sinuosity series! I loved the why choose aspect of it. When these three got together, things REALLY got heated! I'm a sucker for a good dark mafia romance and this was no exception. I love the friends-to-lovers trope and needed a book that had that trope in it and this filled that need. The relationship is interracial and I loved that. All-in-all, this book was fantastic and I can't wait to read more of this series! (I apologize for the late review)!
After having read Taste of Hell i've been looking so forward to more from Ms.Nange and this world! I wanted to read this book from the moment it was announced. I picked it up and got right back into the Sin and Sinuosity world! I enjoyed this story so very much!
Delilah, Harris, and Marc's journey pulled me in so quickly! People can leave marks on our lives in ways we don't expect, something Delilah, Harris, and Marc all know. Can these three take a chance together and fight for what they have?
I felt for Delilah and the rawness of her past got to me. I admired and related her. Both Harris and Marc had me falling for them. I really enjoyed what both of them brought to the story. I adored how they got Delilah on so many levels and the heat filled chemistry they shared. I really liked how Delilah, Harris, and Marc had all been through things in their lives. It wasn't easy for these three and i appreciated the realness of that in their journey. I didn't know how everything would be tackled and i felt so much throughout with Delilah, Harris, and Marc.
It was awesome being back in the Sin and Sinuosity world and getting to reunite with characters! I love the way this author doesn't shy away from the toughs in life as well!
With Touch of Heaven, Ms.Nange has created such a good read wrapped in darkness, rawness, heat, and emotions that made me feel so much! She writes with such realness that stays on this readers mind long after i've reached the end. I can't wait for more of her words and to dive back into the Sin Sinuosity world with book three, Six Feet Under!
Be sure to read the author's note about content. ❤
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
This is book two in the Sin and Sinuosity Series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I personally have not read book one so I cannot say what it is about. However, I did read a couple of the reviews from the first book and it appears that the characters are the same, but book one focuses more on another character than book two.
Touch of Heaven is about Delilah, her best friend, Harris, and Harris' boyfriend, Marc. Each chapter is from one of their perspectives. The book also includes back stories of Delilah's identical twin sister, Dahlia, Delilah's ex-fiance, Simone, and Marc's sister, Courtney.
Delilah, Harris, and Marc are a unique trio. They each have their own demons, pasts, dreams, and ambitions like any other person, but it is because of their particulars that they work so well together. Throughout the story things skeletons are uncovered, feelings are hurt, hearts are mended, and raw emotion is displayed.
While all of the storylines are well-written and come together beautifully, the book is a slow read; as in, extremely slow. I believe this has a lot to do with the fact that the author, Elice Nange, repeats herself throughout the book. She will explain something in one chapter and then re-explain it in another. Even with all the overexplaining, it is my opinion that there are a couple of plot holes throughout the book. It is as though the author forgot to explain what is happening or what happened for the story to lead in the direction that it did.
The story as a whole is really good if you can get passed the slow read, the over-elaborating, or the regurgitation of the same exact information.
I’m at a loss I mean wow. These characters tore me in two. I’m a fan of whatever is best for you is your decision and obviously so is it Elise’s. I love that. What you do in your life is not up to anyone else…no matter what others might claim. That’s what drew me in. The McWrorters or however you spell their names..are terrible ppl it seems. I missed Book 1 so I have no clue where any of these characters are coming from but I can imagine it’s wrapped up in whole mess of…we’ll mess. Each of the main characters have issues…like soul crushing deep seated issues. Although it’s touched on I’m sure we haven’t even heard the half of it. The way these three come together rather it’s really forever or just one night…is more than hot…it’s scorch the sheets, burn the house down kinda steam turn fire. The connection, the heartbreak, the jealousy…it’s all so amazing. I would only recommend this to those that don’t have an issue with the worlds criticism of sexuality because this book is all over that. But oh so good. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Over to catch up and read book 1. See ya later babes!
2.5 stars. From the start, I was caught into the story and I rapidly loved the characters. But then, the writing started to annoy me. No explications were given and it was referred to the event “from seven years ago” or the one from “sixteen years ago”. Through out the book, we get snippets of information here and there but we never get the full story or explanation. Once a discussion takes place, it ends with something like “I don't understand” or “ what do you mean” and the other character just leaves the scene or refuses to answer. We are left hanging. I had so much questions and so, I started to loose the connection with the characters or I became annoyed with them. It's not until 75% of the book that finally, finally, someone tells us what really happen and what's the big deal with this situation. Unfortunately, at that time, I just wanted the book to end. I must say, I didn't read the first book. Maybe I should have but, in the book description and in the reviews, it was written that the book could be read as a stand-alone. I'm not so sure. Well, I won't be reading more books from this author even though I found the plot interesting.
“Touch of Heaven” is the second book in Elice Nange’s Sin and Sinuosity series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. This book features Delilah Brewer, who is known to all as one half of the famous identical Brewer twin sisters. Born with a congenital heart defect, Delilah has been dubbed the “Defective Spare,” while her twin sister Dahlia is known as the “Perfect Twin.” As a result, Delilah’s confidence has always been lacking. That’s where Harris and Marc come in. They have been dating for 16 years, but they have an open relationship. Now, they both want to bring Delilah into their relationship… but they have to convince her first. I thought this book was really good!!! It was somewhat dark, but it worked. Delilah was a fierce heroine, and I loved watching her gain confidence. Harris was very protective of Delilah, and he was obviously just as in love with Marc. Marc was possessive and brutal, but that’s just part of his charm. I would definitely recommend!!!
I love how this book started off around the wedding and what leaded up to it. You get more context from what Dahlia's book was about. The complex situation of Harris, Marc and Delilah grows the more and more you read. They have ups and downs and let me tell you that the spicy scenes are everything!
You learn more about her past relationship as well as in depth of the families. I love the possessiveness of Marc! It added that little extra something to his character. Written in multiple POV's and I loved it! You get an insight into more rather than just reading Delilah's view of things. When reading the first book about Dahlia I disliked Harris and the way her sister treated her.... but let me tell you that I did not like Dahlia when I read her sisters side! I can't wait to see what the third book brings!
This was quite the story. Delilah, Harris, and Marc really know how to heat up the pages and it's 100% worth it. Delilah may be a complicated woman, but there are reasons why she is the way that she is. Thank God she has her best friend Harris. Harris has been with Marc for quite some time. Delilah is attracted to him as well, but isn't sure if hes 100% gay or where his at head is when it comes to relationships. But things change all the way around, and soon enough Delilah realizes that both men are in love with her. This was quite entertaining with all the secret, lies, and twists it had offer. Make sure you check this one out to day.
As much as I'm sure this would have been a great story if the reader had all the information, stating that the book can be read as a standalone makes it so it's not. I can't stress this enough: Read the books in order! There are so many unexplained time jumps with little no flashbacks that I'm sure are in book one. At most you'll get a brief summary like it's supposed to make sense. It doesn't. Because of this, I will not be putting in the effort to read the other books.
This is book two in the Sin and Sinuosity series and can be read as a standalone. This book is from Delilah's POV and starts from the events of Dahlia's wedding from book one. This book is a slow-burn and we get multiple POVs from Delilah (FMC) and her two men Harris and Mark (MMCs). We get to see how their relationship/friendship unfolds. This book was amazing and I can't wait to read more from Elice in the future.
This is emotional in a great way! Drama. Heat. Twists & Turns. This is Delilah, Harris and Marc's story. Each one have a past and trying to find their path. There was definately a lot to take in and the heat and spice was definately HOT. Delilah, Harris and Marc were complex in their own way and this story kept me engaged. This was a first read by this author and i enjoyed it a lot. 4.5 stars
This story follows Delilah, Harris, and Marc as the manage their relationship and deal with their past. I have to say I absolutely love Marc and his alpha possessiveness. I loved Delilah’s growth and seeing herself in a new light. Personally I do not like Harris 🫣. This book was a perfect mix of plot and spice!
Found the book to be interesting but a bit wordy. Totally loved the name caused it captivated me into reading it.
There's some very nice quotes and a quite a bit of spicy scenes. The story was a slow build. The characters were interesting and developed well. The writer did a good job. Would recommend to others. Someone may find it more captivating than I did but it was a very nice read.
This was a very intriguing read. Be prepared for plenty of intensity, drama, emotion and twists as this gripping story upholds. Delilah, Harris and Marc are compelling characters that take you on a real breath-stealing, pulse-pounding ride. This is my freely posted, frank review.
A fantastic second book from Elice Nange. The relationship between the three characters is definitely slow burn, but a fascinating read as you get to see POVs from each of them.
I’m not sobbing, you’re sobbing! I absolutely HATED Marc in book 1 and now I think he’s my favorite now. How do I go about getting me a Marc? I’d love a Harris as well since I’ve got a list going? Where is my little book? GAH I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK! I need more! ***grabby hands***
This might be a slow burn, but it'll definitely keep you nice and warm on a cold winter's night in. Delilah, Harris, and Marc are great characters, and I love the tension and sparks between them. They each have their own problems and issues from their pasts, but together they make one hell of a trio. Harris and Marc are the perfect couple - each bringing something different to their relationship. I really enjoyed the fact that things didn't move along super smoothly for them, the realities of life slip in and make the romance less than perfect (and makes it all the more fun to read). You'll absolutely feel the raw emotions flowing off the page, including the lust! I honestly couldn't put this down once I started, it was so easy to get immersed in the story. If you enjoy steamy ménage romances, and want something with an LGBTQIA+ element, you've found your next spicy read.
My Perspective 1️⃣A wonderful read 2️⃣Filled with intense emotions, feelings, desires, possessive males and touching friendships 3️⃣Delilah's journey to love and healing is an intense path that leaves you wanting to know what happens 4️⃣Harris & Marc are billionaires that's filled with past hurts just like their female love, battling demons to survive. 5️⃣Harris is both strong, likeable and a bestfriend a girl could definitely wish to have. The one that brings peace to Delilah's life. 6️⃣Marc is the protective, obsessive, dangerous type that ignites a girls spark for adventure, and that definitely ignited Delilah's desire
The author did a wonderful job with this story and I must say I am looking forward to more of her work. Definite high recommended romance book to read.
Delilah and Dahlia have a complicated history. They are both trying to move on from tragedies. Delilah is content where she's at until Harris and Marc force the issue. They each have their own back stories. I enjoyed this is a riveting, complex book.
This is the love story of Delilah, ‘the defective spare’ and the two loves - Marc and Harris. We have met all three of these characters in Taste of Hell and when I found out this book was their book, I was super excited!!! I love throuples and this throuple does not disappoint! I love how the transition from a couple (Marc and Harris) to a throuple to include Delilah, wasn’t easy or without its issues. I loved their struggle and watching them work through it. The chemistry between these three was off the charts and many of their love scenes were super hot, but others seemed to be cut short or rushed. This book is written in multiple POVs, which I love but only very few chapters were given to Marc and that was a bit disappointing to me as he was the character I wanted to delve the most into. With these couple of tweaks, this book would have been a 5*+ read for me.
I can’t wait to see what’s next and will be keeping a close eye on this author!!!
Hmmmm…. This was probably the cleanest MMF/MFM I’ve ever read, in fact other than the first and the last it was more a MF with 2 dudes. And even then it was MFM, I’m really sad we didn’t get a MMF scene. A 2 on the spice scale.
This started right back at the start of book 1 and it was interesting to see it from another POV, there are still lots of questions that I have but I see there is another book coming with Simone which is really exciting, can’t wait for that one!
Again there were parts of this story that were repetitive, like full sentences. And bits that were explained rather than lived out. But I enjoyed the story, it felt like a HFN rather then a HEA and I’m guessing Simone’s book will have something to do with that!
