Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.

Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.

Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.

The short series was a bit disjointed is the best way for me to describe it. I think the characters had potential as did the storyline. However, the characters lacked the chemistry needed to make their relationships/associations work. I like this author. This one was just not for me.

This was an okay read... It was a quick read... However, I was a little disappointed because a good chunk of this book made me feel like I was ready part 1 all over again because it repeated a lot of what was said and done towards the end of part 1... This definitely pulled away from the storyline for me...
Junie was stuck with wanting to do the right thing and wanting to be treated how she deserved to be treated... she just wanted to be happy and have a family... But being with Finesse was definitely not going to allow her to find that... She just all the way around surrounded herself with people that took advantage of her and used her... From her so called best friend to he so called husband... With these two around she would never find the happiness that she is seeking...
Finesse really had his nerve to be all in his feeling about what Junie was doing or not doing... He has a whole other life and feels that Junie should be faithful to him... He says he loves her but as we can say his actions prove otherwise... see he was out here doing all his dirt thinking that he was untouchable... My my have the tables turned...
I really liked Staxx... He was so good to Junie... I did not like his mother though... She was a piece of work... Did she not know that her son is a grown man and she cannot just run his life... Staxx went above and beyond to prove his love for Junie... He just wanted her flaws and all... And he proved himself to Junie time and time again...
Now see Finesse was out here doing dirt... He didnt know who didnt like him and would do such a thing to him and his family... And well looks like he did not see this coming... As for Siren, all the dirt and backstabbing ways finally caught up to her... Karma came back big time for her... But as for Staxx and Junie... I was so glad to see that they both could find happiness... Because they definitely deserved it...

The ending was crazy lol The way she tied up the story was good. I was content with the ending. But again, a quick read, unhinged characters and a wild storyline.

Well this was a finale!

If stupid was a person it would be Junie, Finesse and Siren oh and Staxx mama 🤦🏾‍♀️🥴🥴 all of them was something special.

Junie, how are you standing beside a no good man that you want gone so bad, and pushing away a man who would give you the world and more. The secrets that were told about her and Staxx connection had my mouth drop. I wish the story didn’t go so fast because it seemed rushed. Staxx Momma, was just crazy point, blank and period and I wish she would have been dealt with also.

Finesse, how you get made that Juine is dating but you have been community “D” to everyone and have your secret. Boy boy boy if true karma ain’t kick his tail, you better watch what you do to people because they coming for you. The decisions you make you have to realize can come back to the ones you love and Finesse found out quicker what that means 😔😔😔.

Siren, I don’t see how she could have ever called herself a friend to anyone. Plus your mad you got played from a so called friend, naw that was karma. So all I want to know was the 69 girl following Siren because I’m confused 🥴🥴🥴.

"Captivated By A Brooklyn Book 2" by Jade Jones

My Assessment:

Wow, 'Captivated By A Brooklyn Boss2' was quite a read where poor Junie had a little bit of it all from that so-called horrible friend, no good husband, and let's not leave out those two crazy moms. Will Junie be able to make it out of this mess before it's too late? To understand this series, pick up the first book 1 to read first. So many secondary characters got karma in this well-told storyline and left you shaking your head. Be ready for a read that will have one all over the place, secrets coming out, keeping up with who and what is going on 'when love and war collide.'

OMG that was a great ending

I'm glad June and Staxx finally got their happy ending and after the pain and tragedies they went thru. Siren was a backstabbing best friend who betrayed her in the wrost way who karma came back with a vengeance. Finesse was. Junie husband who shot and killed by some one who owned him money. Finesse brother was shot and killed by the same person. Staxx mother was a controlling and manipulation women who was angry and bitter over her husband death. Come to find out Junita father killed her husband because he was trying to put him away. Staxx mother later had Junita father killed . I would like a Capatived by a Brooklyn Boss 3 see how the couple doing.

Ughhh

I wasn't too gun-ho abt the books. It seemed rushed. A lot of point missing for instance...the mom finding out who Junie is? Junie's best friend just knowing automatically it was Staxx he wanted to kill without knowing more than a politician and his mother. There were other parts of the story that didn't make sense to me. So many details left out that could've rounded the story abt. The books had the nerve to be 100 pages. Do authors take pride in full books anymore? At least 200 pages should be a minimum. Maybe it's my dislike of going through a book in less than 2 hours and left disappointed.

I gave it 3 stars based on the story. Tho it lacked details here and there and could've been full, the story was okay and the editor done a great job.

Wow

Staxx being the man he was held true to what he wanted and in the end he got it all. June being the good hearted person finally got her well deserved happiness from her childhood friend . Siren was not a true friend claiming to love Junie all while sexing her husband as well as giving him information about what she had going on, she got but she deserved karma comes back stronger than ever when you do wrong to good hearted people.
Finesse did his dirt but felt Junie was where he was supposed to be but did not stop the cheating and lying he lived by the streets and the streets came for him and his family.
Staxx mother was a racist woman and because of her actions not only did she loose her husband her son left her as well. Good ending to a love story.

Half at the beginning of book was from book one first off the main characters Junie was getting on my nerves as a character I don’t appreciate her attitude I don’t like the way she was talking down on black men and try to make like her husband was so much better when he was a bum this author keeps making theses same bs books … she dragging this book out was bards to keep interested and I had skip slot of it and it was all over the place and the characters don’t have no chemistry and there’s a whole bunch of dumb females in the book do better👎👎👎🤬🤬 not feeling this bs author’s wasting my time.. review be more honest

Junie and Staxx

Siren tried to leave her old conniving ways behind her,but karma has a way of coming back with a vengeance! She did too much to go forward and too much to turn back! She had to face the music.

Finesse would definitely pay for all he had done, karma came back at him.from the least person he suspected!

Staxx love June from the time they were 11 years old she didn't remember until a almost tragic incident jarred her memory! Staff loved her beyond measure and would challenge his own mother to keep her safe!

Staxx gave June everything she wanted in the end, after finally healing from physical and emotional hurts!

A good read!.

Well

I definitely wasn't ready for that ending. Damn when the words imma get you before you get me really stand ten toes down. Mama Perez was the one who stunned me the most. Her old heartless ass wasn't giving up on Junie. Lol she said fuck her life. Not that she revenge already. That shit wasn't enough for her. To hell wit the whole bloodline. Damn damn damn..this shit here was exciting as hell. Definitely worth 5 stars.

Latavia Thoughts

Whew in this mind blowing finale it seems like everyone got a dose of karma, Siren came to her sense to protect Junie she put Glizzy down then turned around and got killed, Finesse got put down by Tortis, Whew Chile Staxx proved he truly loved Junie but his mammy tried to blame her for some that didn't have anything to do with her she shot her and Staxx cut his mother off but nursed Junie back to health with their baby girl !!

Bay bay i though part 1 was bad this part 2 was giving WTF Is This 🥴🥴🥴🥴. Just cringy the whole book. It’s sad because i could kinda see what she was was trying to do with the story and had she executed correctly it would have been bomb asf. But sadly it was some slaw. Sorry not sorry cuz wth i should have stopped after part 1 but i was invested i guess or maybe hoped it would get better. It got worse.

Wow just wow

Whew!! So much going all in this series all at once. Siren was truly a snake though. She did Junie wrong on so many levels when Junie was a real friend to her. Staxx's momma was a whole trip with how racist she was and controlling. Kato surprised me with how he did Siren. I didn't expect that or a lot that was revealed in the finale. I enjoyed this series from beginning to end

Just OK

This is my first series by this author. It had potential but I feel like it was rushed, as if the author wanted to go one direction and changed her mind. So Juni never found out her husband and best friend did her wrong? Why did Glizzy have to marry Siren? I don’t understand how she envied/hated her best friend then saved her at the last minute. Are we really suppose to believe the mother will let her son live in peace after the “bomb” she dropped?

Wishy Washy

This book has to many storylines that were never delved into. Like why Tortis killed Finesse’s brother and his boyfriend. Junie and Finesse relationship was under written. Siren’s storyline was all over the place. Like how did 69 know where she was. The crazy wife should have been the one who killed her and Glizzy was the dumbest hit man I ever saw and we still don’t know who tried to have Staxx killed.

Staxx was stacked!

Junie was saved from a lot betrayal she wasn’t even aware of, from her scandalous friend to her no good husband. Siren sometimes trying to change is too late. I’m glad Staxx cut ties with his crazy momma, she should be 6 feet under for what she did but I guess living the rest of your life alone is punishment enough.

Good Stuff!

Well now!! What a way to tie up all loose ends. The writer gives us a stunning conclusion and it does everything you want. We get to experience a new love, a few people come to some real hard facts about themselves and the chickens have definitely come home to roost. Take a trip with a group of people who world collide and explode.

Good ending

This story had a good ending with a few deaths. Only one was due to the fuss between Finesse and Staxx. Karma came for two. Three was revenge kills. Staff got his women after his Mother tried to kill her, because of drama from the past. Which caused her to lose her son.

Good read

I liked this series, but felt like part 2 was a little rushed. Hence, the reason for 4 stars. I’m glad Junie and Staxx got their happy ending. Siren, Finesse, and Glizzy all got their Karma. Be careful how you treat people because you never know what life can throw at you. Real talk!!!!!

Captivated by a Brooklyn Boss 2: The Finale

Wow Jade Jones this book most definitely was filled with drama, excitement, ruthlessness and karma. Great job I couldn’t put this book down it was truly a page turner. This was like watching a scene from Power. I most definitely would recommend this book.

Alright

Didn't like that the last three chapters of the previous book are repeated in this one, which makes an already short book even shorter. I really couldn't feel any chemistry with the characters. Juni's overprotective stance of Finesse went to far and didn't make since. There was a decent plot in the very rushed story.

Captivated by a Brooklyn Boss 2

Interesting plot twist! I had no idea how this book would end, but I knew that someone would win over Junie's love. When love is real, there is no stopping it. Both Junie and Staxx had a lot of obstacles to overcome, but forgiveness is always an important factor in how much love can grow. Great book!

Great Ending

Well, well, well!! That was an ending. Mostly everybody got what they deserved and some got what they didn’t deserve. Staxx mama was crazier than a bed bug! Glad him and Junie got their happiness

Expect the unexpected

There are unpredictable outcomes for the Perry Masons to challenge their skills. Definitely my score card was left blank. I would definitely recommend this compact tale.

Wished I liked it more

Hmm, book 2 had a lot going on in a short timeframe. To me the story felt rushed and not as put together as book 1. The ending wasn’t what I was expecting at all!

I’m so happy that it ending with Junie being happy and them living they best life together
The rest of them got what they deserved and if she knew her husband and best friend betrayed her she wouldn’t be mourning them but spitting on they grave
Great Book love it
