Especially given the details of her past that she will do anything to keep hidden. However, when she begins falling for the troupe’s handsome yet mysterious magician, Belle’s secrets begin to quickly catch up with her and her very life could be at stake. International bestselling author Annee Jones writes romance that ranges from sweet to scorching, sassy to dark, contemporary to fantastical. Perfect for your coffee break or midnight escape—quick reads for wild hearts.
Outside of writing, Annee works as a disability counselor where she helps her clients navigate through complex medical and legal systems while rediscovering their wholeness in Spirit. She loves practicing Barre, relaxing in the sauna, and staying up way too late reading.
Belle didn't think her father could get any colder or stricter, but one lapse in judgement and she realises just how harsh he can be. The opportunity to dance seems like the escape of her dreams, but how quickly dreams can become nightmares. Is there any escape or is Belle doomed to live in fear? A dark and gritty addition to the series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
“Were it not for the darkness, we would not know the light.” Belle contemplated these words as she faced loss, fear, hopelessness yet finding the courage to pursue a life of love and promise. But would Cedric be able to rescue her from the evil clutches of Luther, the traveling show proprietor? Would he be too late to stop the impending nuptials? Annee has such a unique way of capturing the raw emotions of each character, causing the reader to experience the story as if he or she was playing the part and continues to be a favorite author.
Belle Hathaway was an aspiring ballet dancer who made mistake and embarrassed her father, a preacher. But she joined the performing group with her father’s blessing. He’s a cold man and end up putting her in danger. The director of the traveling theater troupe who hires her is a very evil man. He wants to marry her and blackmails her. Belle meets a handsome magician who is kind and makes her feel safe. Will she marry her blackmailer? Will she get to dance? Will she turn to the magician for help? This is a great story. It was a quick read. Loved it. Worth the read
Ms. Jones has written another wonderful book. She is truly a gifted dancer. While her father is a reverend, his heart was turned when, in childbirth, loses his wife. Belle, knowing nothing of the deceptive plan he and the circus owner make, begs him to allow her to join it. God always has a plan. His plan saves Belle, gives her a wonderful life. I truly recommend this book, with 5 stars.

I enjoyed this story about a young woman whose father used her love of ballet to set her up with a performing group. Interesting characters, some likable, others definitely not. In spite of hidden motives, a little magic led to a sweet ending.
I like a good fairytale. There is a few twists to the tale that really add to the story. The characters are well thought out in how they fit into the story and how they interact. The story line is good and the flow is great. Definitely a good read.
Annee Jones gives Belle not one, but two skunks to deal with, her father and the theater troupe director. But can she trust a magician? This was a fun book to read.
