Betrayal hurts worse when done by the ones you showed the most love to.
The saying couldn't be truer for the Priest Brothers. In this finale, the three men learn more about themselves than Duke could've ever taught them. While Krypt is figuring out who the woman was that hit their stash spots, Khrome is learning what it really means to be a single parent. It was never in his plans, especially this way. With a pending homicide case hovering over his head, Kavalli promised to never let another woman catch him slipping. He didn't care how solid she seemed.
With secrets coming to light, relationships ending, and blood being shed, trusting those around them become difficult. Discovering what it means to put it all on the line, can they thug every obstacle out and keep their legacy alive? Or will trappin' be the downfall of what they worked so hard to build?

Okay so this book wasn't terrible, and I really did love the Priest brothers, but I feel like she was trying to juggle too many characters and in doing so the flow was just off for me. This book was about the Priest brothers growing up, settling down, and letting the past go.
Kavalli had really calmed down this book. He wasn't as trigger happy and had stepped back from needing to always be on the scene. His story moved slow to me, so much of it was spent with him sulking before he finally started stepping into his future. I ain't gone lie I was still a little iffy on Dreeya, and even though they were toxic they seemed to love each other. He had definitely met his match.
Khrome, was such a sweetheart. I loved how he cherished Selyse and really just spoke life into her. He had a sweet relationship with his daughter too. His story line felt choppy to me though. We were bouncing from Milan's family to him ducking off then back with Selyse. While I understood he was grieving it lacked flow.
Koya was introduced, but honestly we barely know anything about her. We got some bits of her growing up, but as far as who she really was...all we got was she was wishy washy, young and trying to live life. Then her story line fell flat and incomplete.
Krypt was my fave. He was the one that you actually got to feel. He gave grown man BDE and he easily played the father role, always looking out for his family and those around him. He took his relationship with Alora to the next level and I loved the way he showed up for her. I didn't like how the story just jumped and again we were told what happened versus experiencing it with the characters. He was also the protector out of the bunch and did his best to shield them all from harm, even at the hand of his father.
I think the writing style in third person just isn't for me. The jumps from brother to brother lacked cohesiveness. It was just like let me tell you a little about each one and then never came together overall. I didn't like how prominent some of the sub sub characters were. There were already multiple main characters that needed focus. My feedback is to get out of third person, stick to the main characters, and figure out how to tie the story lines together better.
The way Briann Danae writes her guy characters really keeps me interested. I loved each of these brothers and their differences. That Kavalli is a bebe kid indeed and every family seems to have one. He brought the chaos and funny moments. Krypt and Khrome both remind me of Ethic and Meek in Ashley Antoinette’s catalog. They gave very adult and chill and I loved that energy. I was hooked! There’s so much mess going on in these brothers’ world, but the brotherly love is still there and the character development was present in subtle ways. Koya was a great touch to the family as well.
I enjoyed each characters storylines.
Ugh, Meka! What a hot mess she was lol.
A fun and fast-paced series, I recommend!
*The narrator for the men characters has a baritone voice, which is not really my thing, it’s deep so at times it was hard to understand. The format I typically rely on is audiobooks, so narrators/voice actors can make or break the experience. I pushed through. No offense to the narrator, but I definitely wanted to note that for all my audiobook friends!
“The Priest name wouldn’t be as big as it is or as it’s going to be without y’all.”
If you are a reader who enjoys urban fiction, this may be the duology for you!
-3 brothers x their separate journeys -love, desire, mutual interest & a sprinkle of lust -single dad trope -family drama -siblingship -spice that’ll make you blush -a steady, entertaining pace -funny, relatable banter -multilayered, lovable characters -forgiveness x self growth -healing around death
Book II ended beautifully, in a way that truly put an end to everyone’s story. It felt like a really good tv series. I’ve only read romance novels & erotica novellas from BriAnn Danae. With this, she did not disappoint! This makes me want to look through her catalog to find more urban fiction from her.
This series was ok. I stuck with it bc I was interested to see how this ended after the cliffhanger in book one. It was nice seeing the Priest brothers grow up and also have a relationship with their sister. I don’t blame Gina for how she decided to move after learning of Duke’s infidelity. The narrators made it easy to stick with this.
This was a great finale. How can you not love the Priest brothers. They are definitely their brother's keeper and now that Koya has entered their lives she has completed their sibling union. I loved the growth amongst them as well as the relationships they have with the women in their lives. The author did a great job. Can't wait vor what she has in store next.
This book was somewhat different than I thought it would be!
I’m with Gina regarding how she felt due to the betrayal! These folks were loyal to Duke and didn’t give Gina an ounce of respect. No one has a perfect relationship and for Duke to hide that secret was distasteful, but these are some typical men! They had Gina out here looking like a straight fool. She’s grieving for this man and he didn’t deserve that loyalty! Well I’m glad she’s moving on with her life instead of being stagnant and living for a dead man!
The brothers are all different and Krypt was that remedy for everyone and I loved it!
Khrome went thru ups and downs with what happened to this BM even though they were not together, but still that was his daughter’s mother. It’s good he’s taking care of himself and getting therapy! He and his daughter had a lot of family that made sure they were doing good!
Kavalli LOL 😂 he’s petty AF, but he’s growing up! He and Dreeya toxic as hades, but hopefully, they continue to have each other’s back!
The sister is “confused” and need to pick a “side” vs. being out there like that!
This book felt incomplete and there were no development with the ladies IMHO!
These brothers and their women are too cool. I love the difference between the men but you can definitely see the same things in them. Koya being apart of this just makes it more better.. why do I see a spin off with her cause baby got it going on honey for real. Krypt and Alora are still the super sweet couple. I just love how much of his peace she is. He doesn't have to act like the head nigga in charge with her and I like that. Now Kavalli and Dreeya are super funny. They definitely are made for each other and I cann see how they can't leave each other alone. Now Khrome and Selyse just gives me hope for real. Her standards was set and she stuck to them until the right person came along and for Khrome he wasn't letting up even with his situation. Now Gina I can see her point buttt on the other hand I have to wonder why she felt like her loyalty still belonged to someone who has been dead for so long. Of course she won't ever stop loving him but what about her and who will love her forever. I still love this family though no matter what.
Ooooo weeee I’m a little perturbed while writing this review because it’s over😩 I fell in love with the Priest family in book 1 and now Koya is thrown in and I am head over hills! BriAnn Danae is definitely the Urban Romancer! She can create a man that is so sweet with a reckless mouth and so much grit and instantly I’m a hooked every time. Krypt, Khrome and Kavalli were all going through their own life’s struggles while still being all about family to the end. I loved the woman they ended up with they all suited each other perfectly. I tried to not to have a favorite but apparently, I have thing for cocky and reckless men because Kavalli’s young behind is bae… toxic vibes and all 😂 I love how this storyline played out and as with all her previous books I was sucked in instantly that being said the curveballs were always welcomed since one introduces my girl Koya! I hope to see more of her in the future. BriAnn Danae did an outstanding job on this book, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
These Priest Brothers are everything 😍 I truly enjoyed getting to know each character and seeing how the think and process different situations. The brothers finding out they have a sister was crazy. I truly loved the bond that each brother had with Koya. My heart went out to Khrome and Mani. Glad he had family to lean on during the time. Kavalli is one stubborn man ,but glad he finally decided to put his pride to the said and get his woman back. I love Krypt and Alora relationship. My heart went out to Ms.Gina to find out the man you thought so highly of had secrets. That he also betrayed you in the worst way by having a child by someone else. Ms.Gina had every right to distance herself from everyone that was not for her. BriAnn can't wait to see what you have coming next
As always, Bri def didn't disappoint. The way she wrote and developed the characters def made me fall in love with all 3 brothers for different reasons.lol I love that although they're true Gs, we were able to still see the vulnerable and softer sides of them....like the way they always say "I love you" to one another. Mental health within communities of color is def a hush hush topic, so I really appreciate the way Bri touched on it...this may encourage someone dealing with their mental health to seek help and know that there is no shame in doing so. Koya was def an addition that we didn't know we needed, but we love it....can't wait for her story. Hoping that we'll be seeing even more from this group like Holiday spinoffs and such.lol
I am glad Amazon stopped playing and finally released this gem 💎. The Priest family really grew on me. I am glad Koya got to bond with the boys but I hate that Gina had to find out that way. I could feel her anger and hurt. I wanted to dig Duke up and kill him 😂! She was right to keep her distance from those that were loyal to him over her. Krypt is definitely my favorite Bae of the trio. He’s the least likely to repeat his dad’s sins. Khrome has a big heart and will be dope for Selyse. Kavalli left some doubts in my mind about how faithful he will be in the long run but him and Dreeya are two sides of the same coin. Great read!
Leave it to BriAnn Danae to bring you a book that starts out from where book one ended and take the readers on a whirlwind ride. Those Priest brothers were a force to be reckoned with. Krypt, Khrome and Kavelli grew up to be strong black, fearless men who knew how to treat their women and always put their families first. Once Koya came into the picture, she joined right in with the same attitude. Gina and Angie will probably never be friends, but they showed great maturity towards each other. This well written, exciting book is definitely worth reading. I’d definitely won’t mind reading more about these men and Koya. Can you say spin-offs?
Briann, you did ya thang with these Priest brothers. I had to pace myself while reading cause it was just that good. The love and loyalty they had for each other was everything. I really felt as I was reading like dang, which Priest brother would I have to have if in a perfect world they really existed. I think I'ma go with Krypt. Although they all were everything in their own ways, Krypt did it for me. I was sad after when I hit 86% a few moments ago. I legit wanted to keep turning pages. I know this a 2 book series but I mean Trappin in the Summer sound goooood dan a mufffffphucka!!!! Lollllll
This is a continuation of the last book so giving the previous information…*Spoilers* Bianca needed her a** whooped. No question ‘bout it. I was itching to jump into the book to get her MYSELF! I’m on Regina side and I will stand on the hill of being bitter and i’m so happy she’s free. This been made me realize how good BriAnn writes arguments because I lived for every moment of Kavalli and his gf. They were toxic but I liked it lol. Krypt and his lady love was so sweet but idk that toxic love won be for this book lol. My biggest critique is that the ages doesn’t match the explanation from the first book and how much they welcomed the new addition to the family

This book was such a good follow up . I enjoyed seeing everybody growth and love just grow into the most perfect family. Koya was the icing on the cake 💕. I really enjoyed her being added to the puzzle. This book was such a feel good I blushed watching everybody fall in love. This author did an amazing job developing these characters to have so many strong men in one book and they all can stand on they own without mimicking each other in any way I loved that. I honestly wouldn’t mind getting more of these couples in the near future. I love it here !
In book 2 The Priest Brothers stamp their rightful place in our hearts. Its rare that you read a book about brothers and can’t choose a favorite. All 3 brothers show us how they are different yet so similar when problems arise. From love to loss to breakup to makeup you are drawn in on each page and with the addition of their sister Koya you are sure to melt away like snow. Get ready for the rollercoaster ride you didn’t expect and the crush you thought you were too old to have…
This book was a nice fast read. I think it would have been better it didn't jump from person to person in the same chapter , sometimes I got confuse on which brother the author was talking about. I still got questions that wasn't answered. I need to know who koya got with. Did Gina forgive Mary and did she introduce her new friend to the family also I wanted to know who sold the bad drugs. Despite my questions I still recommend you read it. Bri Ann Danae I would love to see an update about these characters in the future
This book was everything!!! Loved all the brothers Idc idc kavalli was bae.. he kept me dying throughout the book!! Khrome was second and krypt was last.. it was just something bout kavalli he jus gave me bde whoo Chile.. lol before I read the second book somebody wrote on a review that Gina was bitter.. for me it wasn’t true she didn’t take any mess and they picked a side now they had to stay there even after dukes death.. And I felt that.. PERIODT!! Great book won’t be disappointed..
Tragedy and drama hit the Priest Brothers fast, but they worked through it as a family as always. They embraced having a sister and welcomed her lovingly. Each brother found true love and Khrome settled into being a single father. Gina moved on with her life and became happy as well. Koya was enjoying life and couldn't decide who she wanted to entertain. I wish there was more on Gina and Koya's love lives. Great job on this series!
As always, BriAnn delivered another good series. To be honest though, I could have really done without Koya’s storyline, a hidden sister for what? There were already so many good plots twist, there was no need to tarnish Duke’s legacy. At the end of the day, Duke was married and had a baby on his wife, his actions were cowardly and Gina did not deserve that. I’m glad that the brother were able to find love. I loved Krypt and Khrome.
This was a cool book but it jumped around sometimes. You don't know about Gina and her new boo. Gina was did not play any games and I loved it. Krypt was so laid back and chilled and I loved it..Khrome experienced some real life issues and I appreciate that he actually handled it. That damn Kavalli is a hot mess. You have to read the book to understand him.. Koya, I am not a fan of hers. The Priest brother is so unique.
Krypt, Khrome, and Kavalli each went through so much and grew in their own ways. They faced plenty of challenges that made them question their father, but I really enjoyed seeing how they came together and handled everything as a family. Kavalli is still a bit of a hothead, but you can see his maturity compared to book one. I really enjoyed following the brothers’ journeys and I’m so glad they finally got everything they worked so hard for!
It doesn't matter how long the wait it's alway worth it! The penmanship be so good that it is a page turner from beginning to end. The Priest brothers another set of characters that will have you daydreaming and wondering if it's a duplicate in human form of them!
I loved this story. Alora and Krypt were definitely couple goals. Kavalli and Dreeya were so toxic together, but I’m glad they got their act together. I’m glad Khrome bounced back and got with a woman who was his equal. I would love to know about Koya and her dating situations.
A good ending to a story that I enjoyed reading. With the craziness of these characters and their lives the ending was great. I definitely would love more from them, a update book would be great. Especially the couples. Lots needs her story told cause I know she has more to say and do.
Although I’m sad this is the end for the Priest brothers , I am happy with the ending and outcome of each relationship. Part 2 was worth the wait ! Khrome is my baby! Black men that aren’t afraid to go to therapy is a beautiful thing !
Shout out to BriAnn for always coming through with our book baes.
Look this was worth more than five stars! BriAnn took us on a journey with the Priest brothets and their little sister. I'm so glad that they accepted Koya with open arms and built a great relationship with her. I really could read more about her though. I loved this book!
For some reason, I did not recall a few of the characters. Even with that said, the story was just enough drama with a delicate mix of good points to enjoy this edition. The Daddy was not my favorite. I expected better from Duke. The surprise guest was adorable. I can not wait for her story. Overall, the story held my attention.
