The Celestials said "correct excess deviation." Now the hour of judgment is upon the Eternals. Have they done enough? And does overcompensating at this late hour make it better, or make it worse?
It's an okay enough story, but one of the skyscraper-sized monsters texting a teen girl left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like I need to read some more Eternals stories to make complete sense of this story, and event, and I probably will. Death To The Mutants seems slightly more essentially than other tie-ins, but it still has that in-between-the-moments feel. Personally, as a reader, I find that I like a carefully structured crossover event better than loose tie-ins, as I've written about in other reviews.
This was a decent read. The connections to the main event were pretty clear and it tied in well. It suffers from what the main series does and that is that I am not the most familiar with these characters and the story isn't helping me much.
The Eternals/Thanos stuff is kinda boring since I don't know what happened. I'm not really seeing the same amount of "so this specific thing happened". My favorite part is the poetry writing killing machine making internet friends. Love that.
