Well, it was certainly loaded with details about "Top Gun," that's for sure! Which is exactly what I asked for: I wanted to know everything about it! However, this book could and should have been more fun. She clearly did her research and dug into the how-to of making a movie, but rarely tied it back to this movie. For instance, when describing those wild aeronautic maneuvers being filmed, tell us what scene that was for. And to top it off, two whole chapters dedicated to the director!? Negative ghost rider, I'm not that interested in his personal life. It was just detail-heavy, and movie-light. Missing the forest for the trees.
