I love the Fodor's guides. With starred items not to miss, sample itineraries, city walks plotted out, and lots of maps, lodging and eating recommendations, you can't really go wrong. although I consider many guides in my planning, this is the one I use for all my fine tuning and details. The only downside--hardly any pictures. Check out other guides for pictures, then get Fodor's for the nitty gritty.
