A tortured antihero bound to a brutal contract. A broken heroine with a sharp tongue. A relationship that could save them both if she’ll allow it.
Ian Beckett, according to Harlow:
1. Voclain Academy’s drop-dead gorgeous, all-star quarterback. P.S. Dear Ian: See number one and take the drop-dead part literally.
2. Sole heir to a massive family fortune that dates back centuries.
3. Wicked bane of my freakin’ existence with a PhD in dirty talk. P.P.S. Dear Ian: Think of your mouth like a plane door. I’m gonna need you to keep it shut for the duration of our flight.
Harlow Weathersby, according to Ian:
1. Stunning creature with a smartass mouth I want to devour. P.S. Harlow: Can we stop this already, sweetness? We both know you want me.
2. Blonde angel delivered from heaven straight into my lap.
3. Beautiful girl caught in a game she never wanted to be a part of and doesn’t understand. P.P.S. Harlow: Stick around. I’ll teach you the Rules, sweetness.
From Jordan Grant comes an enemies-to-lovers, 334,000-word series that takes the reader on a wild ride of epic clap-backs, Grade-A dirty talk, addiction, and loss.
This series contains bullying, foul language, high heat content, and drug and alcohol use, which some readers may find triggering. Due to the above, it is intended for a mature audience.
Jordan Grant is a lost soul, who changed majors three times in college before deciding on English. Because she has about as much patience as her beautiful, wonderful (did she mention ah-mazing!) younglings, she graduated a year early and then went to law school because...
Well, she mentioned she’s a lost soul, right?
A special place in her heart is devoted to edgy alpha males and bad boys with naughty mouths. She loves to get lost in the blur between love and hate and is especially fond of prince charmings with dents in their crowns and strife in their souls.
She is an avid fan of all things sweet including red wine and cupcakes (red velvet, please!). When she’s not daydreaming about the characters in her head, she enjoys (attempting to) garden, petting furry animals, and wrangling her family into day-trip adventures.
OMG! What a CRAZY ride! I am still trying to process everything that I feel right now. Every time I thought, “finally” or “surely, they’ve been through enough” then BAM! So many twists, turns, secrets, revelations…it was an emotional rollercoaster of a mindf*ck! It’s hard to even write a concise review because SO MUCH happened in this box set of stories. So I will leave you with this, do yourself a favor and put this on your “currently reading” list…like TODAY!!!! Oh, and pay attention to the trigger warnings, for your own safety. This author was new to me, but I’m invested now and I look forward to reading Everett and Archie’s stories!
A DARK, BROODING KING AND HIS SASSY, BEAUTIFUL QUEEN!
“Baby, can't you see I'm calling? A guy like you should wear a warning It's dangerous, I'm falling There's no escape, I can't wait I need a hit, baby, give me it You're dangerous, I'm loving it Too high, can't come down Losing my head, spinnin' 'round and 'round Do you feel me now? With a taste of your lips, I'm on a ride You're toxic, I'm slippin' under With a taste of a poison paradise I'm addicted to you Don't you know that you're toxic? And I love what you do Don't you know that you're toxic” -Toxic by Britney Spears
Oh my word what a rollercoaster ride from this new to me author!
A beautiful wicked, dark and steamy box set filled with beautiful, complex characters that will draw you as reader in from the first chapter right to the last!
Two broken souls that were destined to meet and complete each other but not destined to be happy!
“His heart isn’t black. It’s shiny and made of pure, polished gold. At times, it may appear tarnished or downright ugly, but it is heart-stopping when you catch it just right. He is beautiful and wicked and mine.”
I found Harlow and Ian a very toxic couple that started to depend on each other in a very hedonistic way….
He bullied her from the first book right to the last book but in a very possessive manner like she belonged to him and nobody else but he could belong to someone else…
“You’re the only thing real anymore, the only thing that matters.”
“Stop this, Ian. You can’t be sexy and funny one minute and then mean the next. I don’t know if this is a game or…”
“No.”
“You are not a game. This isn’t a game.”
She started to depend on him when her panic attacks got worse and couldn’t say no to him…. A bit of a pushover when it came to him…but that is love…
He started getting more cruel and dark like his father until she grounded him and lightened his world but it was not enough…
Their path to happiness was riddled with outside forces trying to rip them apart, some will fail but others will succeed until it is too late…
I loved the supporting characters of friends who stood by them and loved them and became their family so I need to read their stories as well!
The twists and turn on this rollercoaster in this book will make your head spin but in the end it is well worth the ride!
I voluntarily received an ARC from Forward PR for my honest opinion on this box set.
“The sunshine needs the boy, and the boy needs the sunshine.” Beautifully Wicked the Complete Series by Jordan Grant
⚠️I was given an E-arc of this book by Forewordpr, all my words and opinions are my own. Thank you for the arc!⚠️
Age I Would Recommend: 18+ Genre: NA/YA Dark Academia Romance Length: I kept track in % not length as it was an e-book, but it’s 4 books in one. Warning: Bullying, substance abuse and recovery, PTSD, 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I rated it as one because I read it in one book not 4 separate books)
Told from duel perspectives of Ian and Harlow. Harlow from new money. She is kind, smart and fierce girl who struggles with PTSD. Ian was fed a silver spoon his whole life. He is dark, intelligent, and selfish boy who uses substances to numb his pain. When Harlow and Ian meet at the prestigious high school for the elite and wealthy, Voclain Academy, both their worlds are rocked. Ian wants Harlow, badly, and Harlow wants Ian to stop bullying her new found friend before she’ll let herself have him. When this two finally collide, and I mean collide, they have to fight for their relationship and it’s won’t be easy. Will they make it through or will they fall apart?
Can this be a Netflix show or something? Like it’s literary a teen drama show made for adults in the best way possible. I loved how though both Ian and Harlow had their respective struggles that it wasn’t made into who they were as characters or only added layers of death to each of them. I absolutely adored them both. I’m kind of bummed that I don’t get to see more of their college lives, but who knows maybe more books will happen. 🤷🏻♀️ overall if you get a chance to read these books, either as the bind up like me or separately, don’t skip out on them, unless of course you can’t because of triggers.
This is the first book/books by this author I have read and I have to say that I enjoyed them. Well what I can I enjoy some good bully books and these are on the list. There are a few things that any good bully book should have and they are drama, angst, twists, secret and steam. Lots of steam, lol. These book have that. Now I have get them on audio and go from there. So if you like what I like, them you will love these books.
Beautifully Wicked Review: Book one of the series was quick-paced. It left me yearning to hear more. The book is about a group of bullying students at Voclain Academy, a boarding school for the rich, who seem to be playing a game with a lot of rules and life consequences. The book begins with some of the rules and explains who is to blame or whom they shun the existence of, but it does not explain why the game and regulations are in place. That information is revealed throughout the book in pieces.
The students playing the ridiculous game are Ian, Everett, Archie, Chase, Finn, Aurora, and her band of minions. Molly is the girl being shunned. Harlow is Molly’s new roommate.
Once the rules have been gone over, it hones in on the new girl. The new girl at the school is Harlow Weathersby. She is beautiful, intelligent, grieving, has a smartass mouth, and knows nothing about the game or the rules and the fact that there are sides to this game. Ian, King of Voclain falls for Harlow hard and instantly as he sees her walking from across the field with Molly. He stakes his claim on her the moment he sees her.
While the book has a lot to do with the group of students who have made up this game and the shunned student, it also focuses a lot on Harlow and Ian and how Ian tries to win over Harlow. Just when you think all the drama has ended between the enemies to lovers, Ian does something to mess it up all over again. The book ends with a surprise ending from the students and with Aroura, Voclain’s resident “witch” stating a warning.
Beautifully Wanted Review: Book two of the series tests Ian and Harlow’s relationship and mends friendships. Aroura, Voclain’s resident “witch” and twin sister to Raven, one of Molly and Harlow’s friends, comes up with three ways to destroy Ian and Harlow.
First, there is the blast from Harlow’s past.
Second, you have a girl from Ian’s life appear at the most inconvenient time.
Lastly, you have her trying to mess up Ian’s sobriety.
All three of these are intended to ruin Ian and Harlow’s love, bond, and relationship. However, once Ian figures out what is happening, he puts Aroura in her place, publicly and shamefully. Three truths for three truths. The book ends with a warning from Finn.
Beautifully Yours Review: Book three in the series made me wish I had never started the series. Do not get me wrong, it was a well-written book. There are plot twists throughout, but I was outraged that Harlow would not just tell the truth. In hindsight, if she had, the book would not have needed to be written. However, it was the book that took the longest to get through because it made me mad. Blackmail, lies, and betrayal are what this book coils around.
The book focuses on all the ways Finn wants Ian to pay. He wants to destroy Ian’s life bit by bit; taking everything Ian holds closest to him and ripping it away piece by piece. The blackmail and the lies are not enough to satisfy Finn. He wants Ian to feel the betrayal. He wants him to live in it. He wants it to tear him apart and ruin Ian’s entire life.
Book three ends with payback, the promise of forever, and a warning from Oliver Beckett, Ian’s father.
Beautifully Mine Review: Book four starts out with the entire crew of friends enjoying the last of their senior year in high school, everyone playing a savage game of hide and seek, and each of them making plans for their future. The start is a reminder that kids will be kids no matter their ages. They will play and grow as well as learn some pretty hard life lessons.
Lesson one: Ian has to do as his father instructs him to do or Mr. Beckett will make Ian’s mother pay the price.
Lesson two: love is not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it is cruel and tests every ounce of patience and self-control that you have.
Lesson three: girl misses boy; boy pretends to move on; boy misses girl. It is a tale as old as time.
Lesson four: love conquers all.
The things Ian has to go through, to put up with from his father just to keep up appearances is heartbreaking. The way Ian has to act indifferent to Harlow is miserable. The way they make it back to one another is electrifying.
Overall Review: I want to state that bully trope books are not something I usually would read. In fact, I have never read a bully trope book before. However, I did not read the synopsis of these books until I was most of the way through book one. By that time, it was too late, I was already invested.
Another first for me would be reviewing an audiobook; not just one, but four of them. Usually, if I receive an audiobook after reading the book myself, it is extremely hard for me to get into it because the voice reading the book does not match the voice in my head on how I think the characters should sound. However, when I was given the opportunity to listen to this series, I jumped at the chance because there were no preconceived “voices in my head” when it came to the characters.
The author knew what she was doing when she wrote these four books. The series is well-written, well-thought-out, and put together nicely. You can tell just how much hard work went into this series. You can almost feel the tears the author may have cried during parts of the series or the pull in her heart as she wrote about the torment that Ian and Harlow had to endure to keep their lives from unraveling.
The narrator, Lula Larkin, is now one of my personal favorites. She would change her tone with each character. Most of the time you would tell who was “speaking” before she spoke the words from the pages. Her voice was soothing when needed, but harsh when it was required.
This series is definitely a mature read. There are some things that some may find triggering. Triggers: Underage sex, rough or borderline forced sex, adult language, bullying
I can sum this book up in one word: Disappointing. Harlow is a new student at a boarding school for the upper echelon who struggles with panic attacks. She befriends Molly, a student who is being bullied religiously, but only once per day as mandated by the 'Rules' set by her tormenters. Ian is immediately infatuated with Harlow. He swiftly calls dibs on Harlow upon her arrival to the school where he 'bullies' her from that point on everyday. Eventually, Harlow gives into his non-bullying bullying and obscene comments about engaging in coitus with her until he dies. They begin dating, she meets his parents, and that evening he throws a tantrum where he kicks her out, overdoses on drugs (despite the fact that Ian having drug dependency/ abusing alcohol is never mentioned). He ends up in the hospital after ODing, Harlow and him break up because it reminded her of her brother OD'd. He causes her to have panic attack in class, then follows her and the rest of the gang that created the 'Rules' decide to destroy her violin. Ian defends her and then Molly tells everyone the truth about the death of their mutual friend. Harlow and Ian end up together and his OD is never mentioned ever again, the end.
The book has no prologue or prequel to explain how Molly and Harlow became friends, so it causes confusion right off the bat. Additionally, the 'Rules' are never explained, nor are the consequences for breaking them. Ian constantly remarks that if Aurora and her gang notice how he treats Harlow (not like shit) then there will be a vote??? and he might lose her. The vote is never explained, the consequences are never explained, nothing is ever explained in this book. I read about 44% of the book hoping for some fucking information, only to be disappointed. I started skimming after that and thank God because the plot is worse than the live action Cats movie. Ian's character is illogical and asinine. His only character trait is that he 'loves' Harlow. Boring! I rolled my eyes so much they're positively Saharan adjacent. 95% of the bullying Harlow experiences is at his hands and it mostly happens "off-camera". When Harlow mentions it, it's explained as if remembering a slightly annoying memory. It has no impact on the story despite being a main motivator for why Harlow refuses to date him. Additionally, Molly's bullying is never mentioned either. Molly is, in the nicest way possible, a plot point blown onto the page like a booger on a tissue. She's rarely mentioned aside from Harlow's vague attempts to stand up for her against the bullies. I'm bored and annoyed with this book. I think a more fitting title would be Wickedly Dull. You've been warned.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
When tragedy strikes, a group of friends devise a set of "rules" and swear to abide by them no matter what. When Harlow Weathersby transfers to Voclain Academy as a new student, the rules are set into motion. Harlow befriends Molly aka "The Thing" to whom the rules revolve around. Molly is bullied every single day and anyone who dares to befriend her will suffer the same consequences.
Enter Ian Beckett.
"She enters my world like a comet plummeting to earth, brilliant, beautiful, and capable of catastrophic damage."
My man speaks like a poet and talks so smooth that the pant!es would be dropping all over school, but Ian only wants Harlow. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he was head over heels, smitten, would do anything to have her and so he calls "dibs", which is part of their rules. Ian does his best to bully Harlow for her choice of having a friendship with Molly but Harlow has a smart mouth and a sharp tongue that can give as good as she gets and that only makes Ian want her more.
Ian and Harlow are both broken individuals but together they're able to heal, grow and repair the brokenness between them.
This was my first read by this author and most definitely will not be my last. I'm not an emotional person and I have rarely cried while reading thes books, but for three chapters of book one, I full on ugly cried. I also laughed ALOT. This author has a fantastic sense of humor and so many times while reading I found myself laughing out loud. There is so much more to the storyline that I didn't devolve at risk of spoiling it for anyone but if you're a fan of bully romance, enemies to lovers and spice, I highly recommend giving this series a chance. It easily earns 5 stars for both the plot and the spice!
This series does touch on mental illness, addict!on and $uicide. It does contain some themes that could be disturbing to others, so please read the trigger warnings.
Their story had a strong start, but fizzled by the end. I was intrigued by the good girl heroine/bully hero storyline. Ian is the king of Voclain Academy. Harlow is the new girl and Ian is instantly attracted. Unfortunately Harlow chooses to be friends with Molly. Ian and his group of friends bully Molly and anyone that associates with her.
Book 2: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
A little bit better than the first book. Ian and Harlow face many obstacles on their road to happily ever after. Aurora tries to break them up many times with her little stunts, but they eventually defeat her.
Book 3: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The third book was alot better than the first and second books. Even though Ian and Harlow were split up the majority of the book thanks to Fin's actions.
Ian and Harlow have been through alot their senior year and it's just going to get worse with Ian's dad Oliver trying to split them up.
Book 4: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
Ian and Harlow have fought hard for their happiness. Now Ian's father is determined to keep them apart. He wants Ian to marry Lila and inherit her empire. His father uses his love for his mother against him. He knows Ian will do anything to protect her from his father's abuse.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Each book in the Voclain Academy series can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading them all to get the full story though. The books take place during junior & senior year. Books 3 and 4 are the best of the series. Looking forward to Everett, Archie's, and Chase's books.

Story: ⭐⭐⭐️⭐️ Heat factor:🌶🌶🌶🌶 Enjoyment: 4/5 Series: Books 1-4 Cliffhanger: No Dual POV 🆓️ on KU
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
So these were my first Jordan Grant books and I liked them. I was a fan of Ian and Harlow from the beginning. The dual POV was great as, especially for Ian, the insight it gave us on who the characters really were. In book one I understood why Ian bullied Harlow. He went easy on her compared to what others would have done. And book 2, I understood the reactions from both Ian and Harlow. Same goes with Book 3. I understand why Harlow breaks up with Ian, but I feel like they should have communicated more. Like Harlow, you are in the world of the Uber rich and you have seen what they can get out of. Talk to Ian!! And I feel like Ian should have known something was up and there was an actual reason for the break-up. This book was a little bit of a struggle because yes, I loved how the author showcased mental health issues, but for books that are classified as dark, bully, enemies to lovers, etc. books 3&4 don't have a lot of that. And I can understand where they break up in one of the books, but not two of them. For four books there just wasn't enough together time for the couple. I would have liked to have seen them get through some of the adversity they faced together, not apart. That's why the 4 stars instead of 5. Once again, overall I liked it.
I liked that each book was set during a semester of school. I loved how the moment Ian saw Harlow that was it. No one else existed. The secondary characters were fabulous, and I can't wait to read their books. Hopefully I'll get a glimpse of Ian and Harlow and how they are doing as I want more from them as a couple. This world that the author has created is great. The characters, the setting, the whole richer than God vibe. Loved it and I want more.
What an amazing series!!! Jordan Grant has definitely put Harlow and Ian through the wringer as they fight for their happily ever after. This is the first collection of books I have read from this author and I must say I’m so glad I did!!! The way the author writes, she makes you feel what the characters are feeling. This series is amazingly written and the characters are fully developed and relatable, whether you love them or hate them.
Ian and Harlow’s story definitely kept me hanging on through the entire series. Beautifully Wicked is a wonderful bully romance series full of drama, angst, secrets, betrayal, heartbreak, twists, steam and all the feels that will definitely have you hooked. Harlow and Ian try to defeat obstacle after obstacle to stay together and they are very good together
It gave us enough angst and betrayal to keep us reading. It also gives you some drama, as well as some hot and steamy moments. It also has some heartbreaking moments and secrets. This all combined makes you not want to stop reading. I'm glad to have read this in a boxset because it's so full of emotions. It’s definitely a collection I would recommend. I truly enjoyed Harlow and Ian’s story!! Great story and definitely one I will reread and one of the best dark romance series I have read this year!!
Wow what a series Bullying, powerful, love, hate, emotional read.
Beautifully Wicked Book 1: There are rules, but they where made so long ago. Now in there final years of High School will they follow them through with new girl Harlow. She has no idea what's going on when she meets Ian the ring leader or is he? What really happened all those years ago, Was it really molly's fault? And why are they so mean to her and Harlow.
Beautifully Wanted Book 2: Now it's Aurora's turn she starts by bringing back someone from Ian's past will it work?
Then she try's to hurt Harlow again will that break them? God it's so good heartbreaking 💔 sweet and emotional.
Beautifully Yours Book 3:
Now it's Finn's turn to try his hand at breaking them he turns to Harlow to do his work as he feels he was robbed of what should be his and blames Ian for the accident but Waa it really Ian's fault, Harlow has to be mean to Ian but how when she loves him so much.
Beautifully Mine Book 4: And for the finale it's Beckett seniors turn to tear them apart by ,making Ian give up on his dreams by threatening to destroy his mum will it work out? And everything comes out, and Harlow what happens to her and will it make it better.
This series is brutal, heartbreaking, gorgeous, emotional loved it.
What a series. I can't really explain everything at once but will try. This is a rollercoaster of a series, packed with emotions, drama, a bit of comedy, epic caste of characters and a beautiful love story.
Before getting into this book, i knew that it was a bully romance and i knew that i could binge read it. This was the reason I picked it up. I love bully romances and hence you can understand.
As I got through the first chapter, i was super intrigued to know everything. And then this book boxset just basically became my only source of entertainment. I stopped watching anything on Netflix and gave all my non-work time to this beautiful series. I laughed, cried, fell deeply in love, was super invested in the drama and loved spending time with the characters, especially Harlow. What a lady. I love her comebacks. She is super witty and man she can really stand alot of judgement. Even Molly for that matter.
This is an amazing bully romance. If you have no trigger, and love bully romances this one is definitely for you.
What an amazing series!!! Jordan Grant has put Harlow and Ian through the wringer as they fight for their happily ever after.
Book one starts us out with Harlow dealing with the overdose death of her twin brother and finding herself a target of the Voclain Academy bullies for her friendship with Molly.
Ian and Harlow finally find love when the Queen pain decides to bring both of their pasts to the Academy to break them apart and get rid of Harlow for good.
After the threat of Aurora, Finn mets out his form of punishment, but the cake goes to dear old dad.
This series is amazingly written and the characters are fully developed and relatable whether you love or hate them. It is action packed, full of danger, suspense, drug and alcohol abuse, betrayal, blackmail...the list goes on and on, but is it also highly erotic and smoking hot.
One of the best dark romance series I have read this year! Can't wait to see what Jordan Grant has in store for the rest of these friends!
Wow. This series is 4 books in one. The series follows Harlow, transfer "new money" high school junior, and Ian, "king" of school, old money, captain of both the football and baseball teams. They don't have the best beginning as Ian is bully and has to follow a particular set of rules developed by his group of friends. Each book covers a different semester up to graduation and we read all about how their relationship develops. These high schoolers don't always deal with typical teenage issues. Friendships, feelings, mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, over doses, sports, classes, prom, parties, domestic violence, are just some of the topics covered in the entire series. YA is not my favorite but I did want to follow through and see how the series ended. I might also read the follow up books covering Everett, Archie and Chase.
I finished the second one, but I lost interest moving to the next.
It was so dragged out, there were so much internal monologue and the things that happened were so spaced out it never really got exciting. The thing that bothered me the most was that almost every date, visit or event ended by fading to black and the next chapter started somewhere else or at another time. It just felt disconnected.
And the villain in the second story, she was on page like 4 times, she wasn't a bully, she was a little pest who wasn't even good at it!
The writing skill was good, the steam was steamy and varied, and the bullying was vicious until it stopped. It was just the story structure that needed work. And it tackled some full on issues: mental health, substantial abuse, teen pregnancy, death and grief. I'm skipping the last 2 books and heading into their college years.
Talk about a book that will pull you in. Jordan Grant is a new author to me and I have to say that I am glad that I signed up to read this series. This book is full of angst, emotions, hate, love, hate, bullying and a few comedic releases. The bullying trope is not top on my list to read but I did enjoy this series. The storyline was well written and grabbed your attention right from the start. The heartache and betrayal that Harlow endured were beyond comprehensible and it made you want to console her. The intimate scenes were full of steam, and spice and went from a spark to a full-blown out of control fire. Pick up this series and make sure that you have a good chunk of time to binge it as you may not want to put it down.
This is the first collection of books I have read from this author and I must say WOW. I am usually ok well no I’m all honestly I am not a fan of bully trope books but this collection was so well written. The way the author writes she helps you feel what the characters are feeling. I truly enjoyed Harlow and Ian’s story. It gave us enough angst and betrayal to keep us reading. It gives you some drama as well as some hot steamy moments and some heartbreaking and secrets you won’t want to stop reading. Definitely it’s a collection I could recommend.
This series will consume you. Ian is beautifully tortured. Runs his kingdom with a snarling glare. Harlow is shattered sunshine. She exists within a darkness that tries to claim her, shining as much as possible to just be. The two beautifully wicked souls go through so much to get to their moment. Each time you feel like it's there the next shoe drops. Tormenting authority figure, disgruntled friends, old flames and more it's a wild ride worth every minute of your time !
This author is new to me and based on her characters, I will check out future works. This shows an evolution in writing style as book 1 is much heavier in a flowery writing style which was perhaps a bit much but I missed it somewhat in the other books. I enjoyed the storylines and characters although I think this poor couple had more then their share to go through. Good read and this author has lots of potential.
This book is a really great example of what it means to be consumed by love. Especially at a young age or maybe by a first love. It’s heartwarming, nostalgic, and heartbreaking all in one. The characters are brave and brutally honest with each other and the story line keeps you hooked right from the start and all the way to the final page. Read through all 4 books in about a week and would definitely recommend for a great story read!
Tortured antihero Ian would pay anything, any price, to have the beautiful Harlow ... but not everyone is Team Ian and will do everything they can to thwart him. Beautifully Wicked is a bully romance full of drama, angst, secrets, betrayal, heartbreak, twists, steam and all the feels that will have you hooked.
This is a new to me author. I first listened to book two of this series in audiobook form. It lead me to picking up this boxed set. I definitely liked it better as a whole series. Although it's said the books can be standalones, I felt lost just reading the one. The author writes well. Lots of drama where my heart ached for the characters. Will watch for more from this author.
A girl brings color and sunshine to a boy's black, white and gray world. The boy brings love and stability to the girl's shattered world. They try to defeat obstacle after obstacle to stay together. They are good together, if only some people could see that. This is their fight story. It kept me in rapt attention. I was in awe at their strength, despite some people's opinion.
Harlow and Ian’s journey is heart-stopping, heartbreaking, brutal, and filled with intense emotions as they fight for their happily ever after. It’s an addictive bully romance that kept my heart racing from start to finish…I couldn’t get enough. Highly recommend.
*Audible: The narration by Lula Larkin was great and her performance kept me fascinated throughout.
I love the chemistry between Ian and Harlow! They have a great back and forth story and the cast of other characters in the series makes it a fun read. Harlow’s snark and how she stands up for her friends and herself makes her a very lovable character. Voclain definitely gives me Gossip Girl vibes and I can’t wait to see where Jordan Grant takes the other characters stories.
Wow this book was an emotional rollercoaster. Ian and Harlow's relationship, at times were very toxic and other times, you were just rooting for them to have the happy ending they deserved and right when you thought that would happen, BAM, something would come and completely derail them. It was full of angst, and I really feel someone needs to make this into a TV series.
I'm glad to have read this in a boxset. It's full of emotions. You'll be taken on an up and down rollercoaster. It'll give you so many questions that you'll need to read so you can get them answered. A very bittersweet read. Enjoy the vicious ride.
This was an okay read for me and took me awhile to get through. The amount of metaphors was overwhelming and at times it was over descriptive. I found myself skimming through pages just to get to the dialogue.
This dark bully romance series is jammed packed with drama, angst, secrets, twists and turns and steam lots of steam! Harlow and Ian have such an amazing love and connection even if things and people keep tearing them apart but they fight for each other. This is definitely a series I recommend.
