From USA Today bestselling author Rochelle Paige comes a rivals-to-lovers, opposites-attract, small-town romance about finding love in the most unexpected of places.
Waverly Duncan had one goal: beat Ryland Moore on his home turf.
She was the big-city attorney waltzing into small-town Mooreville to protect her client's interests. As an up-and-coming lawyer in her firm, the last thing she had time for was dating. Her focus was fully on winning the case and becoming partner, not a romance.
Ryland never thought he’d fall for opposing counsel. Certainly not one who’d come to his town to represent a developer in a shady deal, let alone a woman who earned the nickname Ice Queen.
But things get hot—in the courtroom and between the sheets.
Waverly perfected the art of keeping her walls up, but Ryland was dead set on sneaking his way past them to melt the ice around her heart for good.
I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.
I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.
When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
Waverly has worked her tail off to get to where she's at now - soon to be on the partner track at her law firm. It all hinges on a case out of state. Yes, she's aware that the only reason they asked her is because she's licensed in more than one state, but still, she'll win and come back to hopefully be named partner. But then she meets opposing counsel in this small town and suddenly her focus and her views are shifting. Will she find her heart is going to long for Ryland and his town, or will she win and go back to the city and her lonely life working all hours just to possibly become partner?
Ryland's instantly intrigued by and attracted to the new lawyer, ice queen Waverly. He really doesn't care she's opposing him or that she's sort of off-limits. He wants her and he means to have her. Now if only he can convince her she wants him back, and to stick around even after the case is finished. That he and his small hometown are enough for his city girl.
Rivals to lovers - ✔. City vs country - ✔. Hot, delicious dirty talk - ✔. A fun, sweet opposites attract love story - ✔. I love Mooreville and all its residents, and Ryland and Waverly are the newest couple to find love and happiness here. Sexy, witty and just the right amount of tension between two rivals. Now I can't wait for more love in Mooreville.
Feel good small town romance that has all the feels.
Rochelle always manages to create characters that are likeable and relatable, people you could envision meeting and instantly feel welcome. I crave that as a reader. I’m over unrealistic over the top woman that a lot of authors tend to lean towards. Not here, Waverly is wonderful, she’s whip smart and strong. Growing up in the foster system she’s come a long way. A lawyer in a prestigious firm in Chicago, she’s on track to make partner. This case is her big break. But meeting Ryland is a game changer.
Ryland left the big city and the law firm where he’d been offered partner, he wanted to be closer to family so coming home was a no brainer. When he meets the opposing council for his next case he knows instantly that Waverly is his.
There’s no drama, no over the top kidnapping or violence, it’s old school swoon worthy romance with a whole lot of dirty talking. The heat is off the charts. The story moved quickly and catching up with the secondary characters was as an added bonus. Throw in a kitten and I’m hooked.
Ryland left his big city law firm to return to his hometown to be closer to his family. Waverly is fierce and confident, and focused solely on her career leaving her no time for dating, and she arrives in town as the opposing council, to protect her clients’ interests. This is a well written small-town romance, with rivals / lovers,’ with family, intrigue, and is an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Rochelle Paige is back with a brand new release and y'all I was here for it. I feel like it's been a while since I've read a Rochelle book and it was like falling right back place when I dived in to this beauty.
Ask for Moore was absolutely fantastic in so many ways y'all and Ryland and Waverly hooked me from the very start to the last word. Packed with steam, swoon, and one slightly complicated, very much worth it insta-connection romance that'll tug at your heart and make you believe in love. Ryland is the near perfect guy and Waverly, well I had such a girl crush on her.
I can't recommend this author and her books enough y'all.

I took one look at the cover of this book and knew I would be drawn to Ryland from the start. How could you not be enticed in by a guy that looks like that??!! When I started reading, I immediately liked Ryland. He seemed so genuine and was easily relatable. I loved that he eventually gave up his big city life to return to his hometown and all the people he loves and who love him. Waverly wasn't as much an adversary as I thought she'd be, but then how could she be with the instant magnetic attraction between Ryland and herself? You just knew something was going to give, sooner rather than later. She was sweet, smart and beautiful and deserved to find herself someone as terrific as Ryland!
I really enjoyed this sweet, steamy love story. I haven't read any of the other standalones involving all the other couples, but I would like to try to catch up some since I found this book to be such an enjoyable read.
I'm definitely asking fore more of this series! Love it!
Ryland & Waverly meet as strangers in a tea shop before realizing they're opposing counsel for a big case. Sparks immediately fly, and I adored that they don't go into enemy mode when they discover how they'll be connected. The case they're on has an equal amount of back & forth, but Waverly's client is a bit on the sleeve side. She does a great job of standing up for herself with him while not putting her job or the case in jeopardy, tho!
Very much enjoyed Ryland's banter & that they both have such awesome hearts. No unnecessary cutthroat lawyering, ya know? And the way they handle their relationship got a big thumbs up! 😁
There's also an adorable kitten, family shenanigans, STEAM, and humor. A well-rounded, happy story!! Looking forward to Finn's story next from the tease at the end!!
I absolutely loved this book Ryland was so swoon worthy he will be everyone's new book boyfriend. He is kind, caring, sweet honest and loveable and dang sexy. He left his big city life and headed back home to his home town to be closer to his family. Waverly is the ice princess but not in the way people think. She has worked very hard to become the lawyer she is today and this new case will push her to partner. When she meets Ryland their drawn to each other instantly. The banter between these opposing lawyers was fun to read. The Angst is high but when they give in the electric connection is on fire. This story is sweet and romantic with heat and spice. The perfect weekend read. You will fall in love with this story and these characters as soon as you start reading. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! I am a huge Rochelle Paige fan. The Hero and heroine were so great together!! He broke down her shell the people in Chicago called her the Ice Queen!! It was enjoyable watching the two of the battle then banter and finally fall in love!! Along the way we are introduced to more of Moore family and the quirky community. This definitely a 5 STAR BOOK Y'ALL REALLY NEED TO READ IT BEFORE SOME GIVES AWAY MOORE ABOUT IT LOL!!!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, misunderstandings, naughty fun, and heartbreak.
This is Waverly and Ryland’s story. Wavely’s nick name is the Ice queen she is a working on a case for her firm. Ryland is the opposing counsel that she has to go up against. The attraction is off the charts. They have passion in and out of the court room. But is one playing the other for the case? Or in the end will they get the same thing out of each other? Will they be a winner in the case or with them? Or will they both lose?
Ask for Moore is the third book featuring a Moore family member. Here we have Ryland. He moved back to Mooreville to escape the city life he always thought he wanted. Now, hes a small town lawyer and happier he is surrounded by family. He meets Waverly who is opposing counsel on a case. What starts as rivals with an instant attraction soon turns into lovers. This story is an easy read and so cute. It had me smiling and giggling throughout. I can’t wait to read more of these Moores!
I enjoyed Ryland and Waverly's story. Neither expected the attraction upon meeting. Rivals to lovers is an entertaining trope and is fun to watch them fall. Waverly is fierce and confident who just seems to be Ryland's catnip. Add in all of the cheering section Moore's and Ivy and you have match made in love. Very entertaining.
Absolutely loved this story! The author did an amazing job with these characters! Absolutely loved Ryland and Waverly! Both were just so awesome and their chemistry was off the charts! A wonderful storyline and very well written! It was a very fun, sweet, and enjoyable read! Very highly recommend! I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review for this complimentary copy of this book
enemies to lovers, small-town romance, close proximity, lawyers, family found, steamy,
remember that movie where two divorce lawyers go against each other while representing their clients, yeah this book is like that but cuter because one is part of the small town legacy and the other is known to be an Ice Princess.

Another great addition to the Moore series. I loved Ryland and Waverly’s banter and instant chemistry. Even though they fought each other in the courtroom they always left that at the courthouse. My favorite part though was his parents barging in the house. Talk about embarrassment!!!
I loved Ryland and Waverly. I loved how open and honest they were with each other. Everyone calls Waverly the Ice Queen but Ryland sees beyond that and can't help but fall in love with her. You can't go wrong reading this book but then I'm biased, because Rochelle is one of my favorite authors.
Ryland and Waverly's story really surprised me. I really enjoyed it. I had so much fun reading this two. Their story has got to be my new favourite by Rochelle. Their attraction and chemistry for each other are undeniable and really apparent. These two made me smile the whole time. I loved it!
I didn’t think two lawyers would work together so well. Loved how mature this couple was. Poor Waverley had a sad backstory but I’m so glad she found a huge family with the Moore’s
This was a wonderful addition to this series. Loved Waverly and Ryland as a couple. They were sweet and had plenty of chemistry between them. Loved it.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I am so glad the Moores have a large clan, that way this talented writer can keep sharing her stories with us!😘
Ryland and Waverly from the beginning set these pages on fire, with their undeniable chemistry.
Waverly, arrives at Ryland's hometown, determined to win a case. What she never expected was to have a strong connection to the opposing counsel.
Ryland returned to his hometown, tired of city life, when he represents a client, he comes face to face with the ice queen, but for him the ice queen isn't.
