( Format : ebook ) Could this finally be the one to get me started? Why do the manufacturers of Air fryer not include a few user friendly starter recipes with their products to get people started? Or better still, a book - like this one. For some time, since being given one of these (hopefully) really useful gadgets, I've been searching for a simple intro on how best to use it and, at last, think I've found it. For a start, it really is for English users, not a cut and paste American copy, with clear instructions giving clear measurements, preparation and cooking time as well as dietary info for breakfast, meat, fish, sides and sweet recipes, all with accompanying colour pictures. I have not yet tried any as testers, but reading through, they look accurate.
But the best part is Ms.Ward's introductory section on the Fryer itself. Clear, simple and enticing, she explains what it is, how it works and why to use it: for the first time I felt it had been written by someone who actually uses one. And she further suggests useful accessories. At last I feel enthused to start using mine.
So, a clear introduction to what the machine is, does and how to use it and a selection of basic starting off recipes of various types: perfect, apart from one thing - tell recipe index, presented at the end of the 150 page book is not interactive. An inconvenience and irritation in an ebook, especially as some ingredients listed are interactive, taking the reader to further suggested recipes on bbc.co.uk/food
A simple five star book, then, but one star sadly deducted for the inconvenience of the index
