I picked this book because of the front cover; it is different from my normal go to books, and I wanted something to read to my kids. The story is about a boy who meets a girl named June, and she takes him on an adventure showing him her magic with the moon. It is a cute book however I am not sure certain age groups would understand the ending of the story.
I have the book on my actual kindle, but I did have to download the book with my kindle app on my phone and even on there the layout of the pages was cropped and too much. This would definitely be a better display of the illustrations in paper/hard back form. It was 4 per page on my phone and 1 block at a time on my kindle.
I got this book as an ARC from Booksirens and the author Lori Michelle. These reviews are my honest opinions.

One day between spring and summer, a boy meets a girl named June, and she shows him some magic.

I picked up this picture book because I loved the illustrations. It has a cozy poetic style and a fun theme. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to understand its target audience very well and commits several blunders: the first line is weak (in the passive voice even), the central conflict is hard to find, there are frequently too many words per page, and the message is both confusing and overt. As an adult, I found it fun to read, but I'm not sure kids will get it.

Thank you to Lori Michelle Hawks and Booksirens for this ARC. All opinions are my own.
