I will dedicate this to the tool that will assist me today in my cooking review:
✨THE HUMBLE ROLLING PIN✨
Step 1: Thaw out your cast of boring, uninteresting, unflavoured MC's that you find in the back of the freezer right next to the puff pastry from that pie you made in 2014. Make sure it's step-brother flavoured. MAKE SURE THERE IS NO PLOT OR LUBRICANT IN THIS WHOLE RECIPE OR YOU WILL FUCK IT UP, OKAY?
Step 2: Add some dry REASONING to a bowl. (See what I did there.... reasoning.... like seasoning.... ANYWAY...... They hate eachother ✨Because stepbros✨ because that reasoning isn't dry as fuck & over used 🙄🙄🙄. They have no reasons to hate eachother, and NO reason to start fucking, it's actual stupid)
Step 3: SHOVE A ROLLING PIN UP YOUR STEP BROS ASS.........
Step 4: Find another random MC, add them in to the dry mix of nonsensical nonsense, MAKE SURE KEEP HIM DRY AF ALSO-NO LUBRICATION ALLOWED.... AND THEN FUCK HIM IN THE ASS WITH A GAME CONTROLLER.............

Step 5: I ain't even gonna try be diplomatic for this opinion. SMASH YOURSELF IN THE FACE WITH A ROLLING PIN AND LITERALLY find yourself ANY BOOK ON EARTH, and it will be a better and more enjoyable time than this shit. (even if you just want a smutty time, this shit isn't it)

One does simply not rawdog shoving a rolling pin up an asshole in an alleyway with NO prep, NO lube (1 spit DOES NOT = Smooth entry tf?!) and rough insertion without a trip to the ER.
This has 3.2 stars and dropping on GR for a good reason.

The story is too dark. Can't say this is a romance, but left me wanting more.
Amos is bullied by his stepbrother Xavier, he never accepted his mother married Amos's dad.
They're the rich ones, so he thinks Amos is scum.
Amos dad doesn't care about him, so he has to work in a dinner, though Xavier's mom had them both in private schools, but the privileges stops there.
While Xavier has everything, Amos has nothing, but still Xavier hates him.
So much hate, of course, always have something hide deeper.
Xavier always goes with his friends to the dinner, so he can bully him. His friends suspicious Xavier's interest in Amos.
Colin, works with Amos and is always too nice to him, caught Xavier and Amos together in the alley at an Amos's break.
He gets mad, so he opens his heart to Amos.
Game on, between the three of them...
This one is hot, I'm hoping the second book give us more information about how this goes, if not, my rating is too high.
One thing I hated, though, I thought it was stupid, "pussy". How sex between guys, and they use the word "pussy"?!?

Stepbrothers/Co-worker Fuckfest
I dont know what to rate this…
What in the actual fuck did I just read? Going in, I knew based on the authors that this was going to be depraved in some way. These two authors are in almost every dark romance anthology I’ve ever read with stories of varying WTF degrees and much to my dismay I’ve loved most of them. For example, Ally Vance has a story in the Stalkers anthology I read last year called “Blossoms In The Dark (A flower in the dark prequel)” that is a seriously fucked up depraved read and I loved it. That story was about a man who kills women named after Flowers like Rose for example, hands them over to his creepy friend who “plays with them” before putting them through the morgue kiln where he works and then gives the ashes back to said man to plant “roses” in his backyard using the ashes as fertilizer. So…I was expecting some level of debauchery but this was just wow 🤩 and not in the good way.
This is porn without plot which I read on occasion especially if tentacles are involved BUT then just say it in the blurb so I’m not thinking this is going to be a dark stepbrother romance. This is NOT a romance but a fuckfest between two stepbrothers and the co-worker they use as a toy. I was on board with this at first because at least there had to be hot sex scenes, Right?. However, I was not prepared for all the household items being used in each other’s asses nor was I prepared for the drinking of each guy’s cum shot glass style out of a measuring cup. Add that to the knife/blood play with a potato peeler, the multiple dry insertions of above items into each other’s asses and the fact the plot was literally non-existent and I feel a bit traumatized. I can’t say I expected less considering the authors but this is a bit too OTT even for me.
I have no idea how to rate this, like none. Does it deserve 1 star because it’s wtf or does it deserve more because I have a feeling this book may stay with me awhile despite desperately wanting to forget.

Mmm not really what I thought it would have been, but I already learnt to expect the strangest things when these two authors are involved. And that's exactly why I wanted to read Poor Rich Boys.

I didn’t mind the story is practically just the middle part, but I’d like to see more connections in the shifting dynamics. I get the animosity between them, but the shift seemed too extreme and sudden, creating a whiplash, especially with the addition of another character.
For an erotic novella, this book delivered in the filth department. There were moments I cringed thinking of their poor abused holes, complete with a gag-worthy scene. The characters readily jumped into it and didn’t disappoint with how far and resourceful they’d go.
Poor Rich Boys is a story of a night of indulgence. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a quick, dirty read.

These boys were taking anything up there!!
I really thought this was going to be very dark and more detailed.But it was just one night, and I still didn't get to enjoy the characters the way I wanted to. The spicey scenes were crazy but still kind of boring.Probably it's me.

So I was expecting a nice unicorns and fluffy clouds kinda story with two step brothers whose love for each other is blessed by gods. Ahhh the heart & flowers story of Brotherly Love.
EXCEPT IT'S NOTTT!!!
Trust Yoly to come up with a story that takes all previous MM, Stepbrother tropes and puts them in a blender. And Ally Vance is her equally warped minded partner in crime. #DoubleTrouble!!
Xavier & Amos are forced co-habitants in their house. They rile each other to the point of excruciating irritation.
Xavier is arrogant, obnoxious and a controlling dominant.
"It has to be his way or no way at all, and he’s not exactly gentle when he gets what he wants. He has a habit of breaking his toys—using them and abusing them until he’s bored, then he moves on. "
And his crosshairs are firmly fixed on Amos. Amos works his Ass off in the local diner and gets routinely bullied by Xavier & his dipshit Rich boys. Lust takes hold of both their brains and a red bloody haze heightens it to a crazy, maniacal level of passion. I think Xavier wants Amos to accept the burning desire between them and fan it to a full fledged roaring inferno.
"I want him cornered, I want him feral, and I want him to bite back… I want to see him wild and out of control for once."
Of course they find aFOOL, sorry Tool(s) to play with.
And oh boy I knew at that point I had to brace myself.

For the past ten years, Amos and Xavier have been stepbrothers with much angst and animosity toward each other, but one night when Xavier visits Amos at work, the dynamic quickly changes.
Narrated in dual POV, the contrasting personalities and circumstances of Amos and Xavier are glaring and Xavier isn’t about to let Amos forget it. However, he doesn’t expect Amos to rise to the level he seeks. During this one night, they heard into the deep as stepbrothers.
This story is a fairly quick and definitely filthy. Amos and Xavier are dirty boys and they aren’t intimidated to let a third participate in the fun. While there are some notable scenes, much more development between the main characters was needed and this would have created even more combustible tension. With this being a series, I wonder if the story continues or if each volume is more of a standalone.
Poor Rich Boys is about submitting to taboo desires. This book would appeal to those seeking MMM erotica.

From chapter 1 to 20, is one scene where MMC1, Amos is working nightshift at the diner. In comes stepbrother Xavier having stopped in after attending a concert with his mates. Now the entirety of this section that I read is basically Xavier and Amos with there snarky banter, a bj -handjob, during Amos breaks.
By chapt 19, Amos finishes his shift, then they meet up in the alley with Amos wonderful selection of sex toys, eg rolling pin and other kitchen gadgets from the diner's kitchen. Oh lovely. 😬
Oh and Colin 'the busboy' wants in on the action too. I did skim past chapt 20. So its actually MMM from then on, (a sexual relationship). No romance here. I'm assuming the kinkier stuff happens from chapt 21-27. Epilogue gives no real insight. (Book has about 27 chapters + Epilogue)

Don't let the cover fool you.... this is NOT good. It's so bad that I actually had to laugh. I'm not even bothering with a review. Sex? I don't even think this counts as sex. Two stepbrothers and the bus boy. Butt penetration with a video game controller and a rolling pin. Oh.... and there's cutting. The characters are bad. The dialogue is bad. There is no plot. Just skip this one.

I went in blind but maybe that was a mistake...
This book is heavy on the smut which doesn't bother me but there was no connection whatsoever between the main characters. It went from 0 - 100 without any logic behind it.

Damn this cover 🔥🔥
The story started normal enough but I knew not to believe things to be that simpe since it’s Yolanda’s book. It took a turn I didn’t expect, and while it was hot af I’m still not sure what to think about it.
It was a short, one hour read so character and story were on the weaker side.
Still, it was hot, quick read to pass time and I’ll probably check out the next book too once it releases.

It was a short, one hour read so character and story were on the weaker side.
Still, it was hot, quick read to pass time and I’ll probably check out the next book too once it releases.

Uff .. first things first … this was absolutely the f*ck not what I expected it to be. Secondly I kind of liked it though.
So if you thought (like me) that this would be a cute hot little stepbrother/enemies-to-lovers romance – NOT AT ALL – little to zero story line, fast paced, dark, lots of kink (and when I say lots I mean it), so basically just porn!
After ten years of foreplay, Xavier and Amos finally got together and found some toys to play with and share! A short easy read. I feel like it happened a little out of nowhere, he was ‘hating’ his stepbrother giving him crap and then not even 2 minutes later he was all over him, maybe if there was a little more to that past/background I may have not seen it so rushed. I enjoyed the spicy. Felt like it ended and left me with so many unanswered questions, like what was happening between them now, what about Colin, how was he involved, did Amos go back home to them all. It was an enjoyable read, I just felt like it left me with too many unanswered thoughts to really love it

This definitely isn’t a sweet forbidden type of romance book….good thing I don’t like sweet romances!
I loved this book. From the second I read that Xavier has always hated Amos, I knew the sexual tension would be good. It is safe to say that those two step brothers had a “hate-hate” type or relationship but soon realized they only hated each other because of how much they wanted each other. I love them both and I loved the knife play and “toy” play. Those were just the cherries on top of it all.
Also, the unexpected addition of busboy aka Colin?? Hot. I loved how neither Xavier nor Amos had the cliché “one dominant and one submissive”, no, they BOTH were dominant over both each other and Colin. I didn’t expect him to join in on things but i’m certainly not complaining…the more the merrier in my books.
Though I have read some of Yolanda Olson’s work before, I have not read any of Ally Vance’s work before so I will definitely be checking her work out.
100% will be re-reading in the near future.

Omg, this book. It is a must read. I was not able to put it down once I started it. I can't give too much away. But you want to check this one out.

I think I'd classify this more as erotica rather than romance. It is basically 1 night, and while the tension that is built up in the first half of the book was great, I felt kind of let down by the end. There is no mention of love, just lust that was grown out of a 10-year hate. That in itself should have kept me entertained, but it never really went anywhere. And why did we need to add this 3rd person to the party? All that did was take the focus away from the brothers . I just needed more, all around.

Kind of weird. M/m/m book. Pretty steamy. But most of it took place in a diner. It really had no rhyme or reason.

This book!! Xavier and Amos are entire vibes by themselves and of course 3s a party with the extra toy. This book is every bit of deliciously violent wholesomeness you could need and made my dark little heart so happy. The stepbrothers antics that lead up to their party is perfect and such an easy flow that will keep you reading to find out what’s going to happen. I read this in one sitting and honestly I am hoping for more from this world.

I read the reviews for this & for the most part they ALL said how dark & delicious this book was. How full of angst & kinky nastiness. Spoiler alert: THAT WAS ALL LIES. Im legit cackling thinking about putting this thing in the category of dark read. No. Just… just no absolutely not.
You’re not some big daddy Dom just because you railed your brother with a rolling pin (outside the restaurant said utensil belongs to).
Like… these two guys went from full on hating each other to blowing each other in an alley. There was no point at which anything between them should have changed.
No build up.
NO REASON.
They went from never having had so much as a non-hostile convo, to shoving / taking rolling pins in the ass. I mean… it’s hard to get caught up in the illusion when you’re too busy giggling & wondering if you’ve missed something.
It didn’t stop there though. No. These two boys then added a third person to the mix. He wasn’t lucky enough to get the rolling pin, but he did get a game controller in the ass.

Involving a pocket knife at some point had potential, but that was eclipsed by the potato peeler & the measuring cup.
SURE any of that could have been darkly fascinating in another book, but here it was just outlandish. Overall it was like reading a couple experimental newbs trying to lose their virginity using to the weirdest porn they could find as a how-to guide.
NOT. a dark romance. Full stop. Do not pass go. I’m actually confused about how those people came to their conclusions. Especially considering there’s no Romance to be seen - the entire book takes place over the course of like… a single night, so ya, no. There’s no romance. Couldn’t be. There was no time to understand the characters outside of what we’re told, not shown, explicitly.
It’s a brush with what Dark Romance COULD be at best. NO WAY was it what the comments & Amazon reviews lead to me believe. but whatever. Moving on. The dynamic / story could have had potential… but that probable potential is not included in this book.
One thing I’m really stuck on is COLIN!!!
Omg am I the only one just completely weirded out by his existence? At one point Amos says the kid is a good friend & coworker… then says they barely know each other. I’m confused. He creeped me out. They creeped me out. I don’t get what’s happening. There was ZERO angst or chemistry… idk it just gave me the chills and not in the good way.
All that being said, if you’re looking for something SUPER FAST without any semblance of a plot & one really fast MMM scene, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU.

This story was not what I expected. I know these two authors write some deviant stories with triggers as I have previously read one of their stories in an anthology and this one is just as wicked. Starting out readers were definitely suppose to feel that Xavier the bad one in the story, with Amos being the good one, but as the novella progressed things really weren’t that simple.
Going in I didn’t expect it to be a more of a novella or that a co-worker would be involved in the crazy “sexscapade”. I was expecting a bit more plot, actual romance and character development, which was all pretty nonexistent. Considering that they have lived together for 10 years I would have expected a bit more background to the story, and I couldn’t really figure out if the authors were implying that this was not their first time together as it sometimes seemed as they had been together before someway.
This book is for the ones who like a quick read with no real plot and a lot of depravation + the use of different kitchen utensils. So, if this speak to your inner “sinful” book soul well then, this one is for you.
