My husband and I went on a "church search" in 2018 and ultimately landed at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The main element that positively separated it from other churches we'd tried was Britt as the head pastor. He made us feel so welcome from the moment we met him, in a congregation of thousands. He was our premarital counselor, officiated our wedding, prayed with me during my mom's cancer diagnosis, and led our church during a tumultuous time within the denomination and during the beginning of the pandemic. He preaches love and practices what he preaches. All of this to say, I was already a big fan of Britt's! Reading his book felt like a warm hug from a friend. I will revisit it again throughout my life!

After being amazed for years by the sermons of Britt Skarda at Pulaski Heights Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, I was able to convince him to put together a book of devotions which might be appropriate for family and self-study, for Sunday School classes, and for other book-based Christian study groups. I love it and I hope you will find it meaningful.

All I thought it would be and more!

I loved Rev. Britt Skarda’s sermons when he delivered them from the pulpit, and I love them in written form, as well. Britt has an easy way of sharing his faith by relating to the reader with his insights and these glimpses of his personal life and experiences. I am so glad to have read this book - and to have these sermons for future reference. They will inspire me and remind me of God’s unending love and grace - and challenge me in my own daily walk with Him.
