Cutters Cove: The Cartel

Rate this book
Mike Monopoli and Annie Mahoney-Maxwell are beginning their life together - when all hell breaks loose. Miami drug lord, Paulo Montoya, has sent a team of goons to the seaside communities of Mayflower - Laurel Falls to kidnap Annie, and her sister, Tess. Estranged parents and former friends, Kitt Mahoney and John Maxwell, must put aside angry feelings and work with Detective Fred Serpico to keep the girls safe. A snowstorm, closed roads, and electrical outages keep law enforcement professionals and innocent civilians holed up in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Mayflower. While danger approaches from the outside, current and former lovers share tight quarters inside. Some have moved on - some struggle to hold on - all realize that nothing will matter if the goons breach the two-story yellow farmhouse on Farm Road. Portions of Cutters Cove were previously published in It All Began In Mayflower - Laurel Falls. Editor's Your character development is on-point! And the action scenes ... you manage to take complicated sequences from multiple perspectives and keep it moving. As a reader, it feels natural and easy to understand what is unfolding. Well done!

Each book in this series is fabulous. Sheryll O'Brien writes dialog in such a natural way. Her character development is wonderful. Her storytelling is on point. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I've read the first 6 and will continue reading her books for as long as she writes them!!
