Ruth Reid has been dealing with the firm grip of schizophrenia for years. First her mother, and now her oldest daughter Ondie. Determined not to have her daughter waste away in a mental hospital like her mother, Ruth has put before Ondie a life as close to normal as possible. But when tragedy strikes and a secret relationship between her other daughter, Serita, and Ondie's ex come to light, what will the future hold?

"Darkness in the Mirror" is the latest from Erica Lewis. It features a solid storyline where emotions are true. I found it entertaining and informative. I really liked the family's relationship also. I recommend "Darkness in the Mirror" to anyone looking for a good read.

A decent enough story about how a family copes with the effects of schizophrenia. However, I found myself irritated with the male characters. They should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.

I would have preferred a more in-depth journey into the disease.
