New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
Piper and Beck have had a thing for each other since high school then the thing turned into kind of enemies. Beck was not invited to Pipers 17th birthday party and he was hurt. Piper invited Beck to her birthday party and Beck never came, she was hurt. They did not speak of it and stopped talking to one another. So neither knew the others story.
They are attending the same college and have the same for me of friends so they vet stuck together quite often. Beck and Piper decide to be friends with benefits and let the last go. A lot of people are against these 2 being together but they care for one another. After some problems they seem to work it out and they finally get some good communication going.
Beck and Piper were refreshing as a couple! Yes, they had a history and it wasn’t great. Yes, there were a lot of unsaid things between them. But they connected, they always did, and they had a lightness about them, despite all the heavy surrounding them. They were a cute and sweet couple, with chemistry and steam ad infinitum, and even the toddler could see they belonged together <3
I am loving this series more and more with each new book released!
All I want to say is days of the week underpants. Review done. LOL! Okay...seriously, I can't remember the last time I recall thinking of this particular item, much less wearing them, but now I really want to own a set just to see if the hubby pays as much attention as Beckett does to Piper. Who knew days of the week underpants would be sooooo hot!?!?!
I love reading characters who are so similar when it comes to morals they are practically the same person, but when it comes to what society deems as important, like financial or social standing, you are judged on a very different scale. Let me explain...
Piper and Beckett come from very different backgrounds. She would be considered a spoiled princess, raised with any and everything she could ever want, except for having her parents actual love and affection. As an only child to millionaires she literally can have what she wants, but it's a lonely life when your parents are running a business and have no time left for you.
Now, Beckett's family is blue collar, large, but full of so much love he knows no matter what he will always have them to fall back on. His siblings, grandparents, parents, they all live close by and even with his dreams of making it to the NHL, he wants to take care of his family so they won't have to work as hard since they did so much to help him get where he is. He has a huge heart, oh and a side note, he's also great with kids...pile of mush and be still my heart.
Even though they were raised in very different environments, they actually are very hard workers, care deeply about their families, and are loyal to those they care about. They just haven't cared about each other for a very long time and it all comes down to a big misunderstanding, oh and add in the fact that Beckett is a family kind of guy and Piper...well, she's not.
These two enemies to lovers eventually learn to coexist and when they discover that their old friendship hasn't withered away, but instead formed into a new passion...well, I'll just say, those days of the week panties make an appearance. I know I just won't let it go will I?
Their story is sweet and insanely spicy. It certainly inspired me to look up new undergarments is all I'm saying. I have loved this entire series and how each book is different, but set in the same world. I can't get enough of Fox's books.
Crash Course 9/6 They grew up together, Piper Thorne and Beckett Moore. She’s the daughter of a wealthy family in their small town while his family is firmly in the have nots. But now Beck and Piper are at the same college in Halifax and their best friends are engaged to each other, so they are thrown together all the time. Under the indifference they both display is a current of mutual attraction. Could it be the old saying ,”There is a fine line between Love and hate” is at play here? An amazing story of taking advantage of an opportunity when it’s presented. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Cathryn Fox.
This book is 3 of a series but it is a standalone story and it belongs to Piper and Beck. Both attend the same college, have the same group of friends, and have known each other since high school but those memories are not happy ones. This story helps us understand why, how missed opportunities can be a turning point in one's life and it is sometimes possible to change the ending. Both characters are likable and engaging and the reader hopes for their HEA.
Opposites definitely attract in this wonderful story by an amazing author. Crash Course will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and keep you guessing. I love this story and the characters are very loveable.
When two people grow up in the same town, but on different sides things are not always what they seem. In this case they are heading on a crash course and neither one of them see it coming.
