Make whimsical farm animals come to life with a buoyant board book encouraging babies’ imaginative play.
Poke your fingers through the holes of this colorful book to make wiggly legs for eight adorable animals as they go about their day on the farm. The hen lays eggs, the goat chews socks, the duck goes for a swim, and the horse jumps over a wall—all with a bit of help from a reader and baby as they share the joy of books together. With fun sound words, bright illustrations, and finger holes to explore, this hands-on story has all the ingredients to spark a love of books.

To me, this is the quintessial board book for older babies and toddlers. It's interactive, with two holes on each page (they go through the entire book) for fingers to poke through. The illustrations are simple, but clear (pet peeve: when it's a book for young children, but the animals are unrecognizable).
What I love most are the sounds! So many sounds!
There are sounds the animals make with the voices, sounds animals make with their bodies, sounds people say to the animals, and loads of onomatopoeia. I love it!
The repetition of "wigggle-wiggle" adds a strong through-line.
This is one I'd give a new parent, for sure.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of the book for the purpose of review. I have not been compensated in any other manner.
This sweet board book encourages the reader to use their fingers to create the moving limbs of familiar animals. Simple digital art shows animals, with die cut leg holes cut all the way through on each spread. Text says that each animal gives a “wiggle, wiggle,” and then there’s the words describing their sound or activity. Readers will enjoy making the animal sounds and seeing the animal “nibble-nibble!” or “purr-purr-purr!” A cute title for littles who enjoy animals and their sounds.
