When the book isn't being a parody of the core series it really hits it marks. But sadly that seems to be only a quarter of it. The parody portions range between eye roll to cringe.

It's slow paced and kinda boring.

With this book being my introduction to all versions of the series, I am enjoying the comedic aspects of the plot. I look forward to trying out the other two versions.
