Mr. Mom

Rate this book
In a trio of heartwarming romances, three sexy, single heroes - cynical businessman Caleb Jones, world traveler Matt Glass, and high-living Flynn McCallister - find themselves abandoning their old lives when unexpectedly confronted with parenthood.

Memories of the Past by Carole Mortimer
Helen couldn't deny that, but she certainly didn't intend to be taken in by it. She found him obnoxious - even if her father thought the sun rose and set on him.
True, Caleb didn't act like the tough, cynical businessman she'd imagined him to be. And she had to give him full marks for raising his young nephew single-handedly. Yet, despite the growing evidence in his favor, Helen was determined not to change her opinion of him.
Then she realized she was falling in love with the man...

The Marriage Ticket by Sharon Brondos
Allison Ford
A woman of her word - always ready to stand up for what she believes in. Warm, loyal and fiercely committed to raising her fatherless ten-year-old twins, she's never too busy to offer help.
Matt Glass
A man used to dealing with danger. World traveler, adventurer, his courage is legendary. But now he's facing his biggest challenge: he has to prove he can be a father to his recently orphaned niece or scheming relatives will take his sister's baby away.
Allison and Matt
They met by chance but they make a formidable team. Pity the fools who try to come between them.

Tell Me a Story by Dallas Schulze
In fact, Dr. Ann Perry was seeing a whole new side to her Los Angeles neighbor. The irresponsible bon vivant had become a model parent ever since he'd found a homeless little girl. Flynn was great at games, a whiz at bedtime stories and terrific at reassuring a lost and lonely child that her parents would soon come to claim her. Flynn easily won little Becky's trust. And in so doing, he won Ann's love.
But was their love real? Or would Ann find, when their make-believe family came to an end, that Flynn's love had been make-believe, too?

Mr. Mom is a collection of three short stories focusing on single men who have taken on the role of father in young kids lives.

Memories of the Past by Carole Mortimer (4 Stars)
Helen sees Caleb as a nuisance trying to convince her father to sell his home. But when she stays with her father, she meets Caleb as a man attempting to raise his young nephew. And her perceptions start to shift.

The Marriage Ticket by Sharon Brondos (2 Stars)
Allison, a single mom to twins, runs into Matt, a world traveler currently taking on the new role of being a father to his recently orphaned niece. Bring pushed together by unusual and dangerous circumstances, Matt and Allison realize how good of a team they can be together.

Tell Me a Story by Dallas Schulze (3 Stars)
Flynn has always been seen as an irresponsible man by his neighbor Dr. Ann Perry. But when he takes in a homeless little girl named Becky, Ann begins to shift her thoughts on him and wonders if there is love blossoming between them - spurred by their makeshift family with Becky.

These short stories were ok, and quick reads. Personally, I would have been OK skipping the middle one. If you enjoy romance books with boys becoming men when taking on new responsibilities, you may enjoy.
