How to Learn the Chinese "Alphabet"!: Kangxi Radicals, Chinese Characters, and Six Methods 康熙部首和独体字

Rate this book
You can learn to read Chinese! Here's how!

1. Learn the 8 most common brush-strokes which are used to draw all the Chinese characters.

2. Learn the Chinese "alphabet": it's big, 214 "letters" called Kangxi Radicals are used to form just about every other Chinese character. But you don't need to learn tens of thousands of characters, there IS a system!

3. Each Chinese "letter" is a picture or symbol which may also include phonetic clues. Learning the "alphabet" gives you the basics you need to "decode" the more complex characters!

4. Then learn the simple characters, which are NOT compounds of 2 or more of the kangxi radical "letters".
