A beautifully illustrated book about food and where it comes from. While written for kids, I think this is a great read for anyone who wants a general overview of the food industry, with a few fun facts thrown in along the way.
Found this in the children's section of the Haringey library, but this is an excellent repository of information for adults that addresses all those unanswered questions about the provenance of all the ingredients they enjoy. And better equips adults to educate children (or adult dinner partners!) about the history of what they eat.
