BE A SPIDER, BUILD A WEB walks you through how to build out a sticky content web that attracts, retains, and converts visitors into paying customers. You'll And you'll experience growth, more sales, and success as you learn and apply the framework to your small business.
"Be a spider, build a web" is a guide to sticky content marketing and as I worked my way through this book, I realised that I was well and truly stuck in Rachel's own web.
From the stories that seem to be written with me in mind, the values that align with mine, right through to the acknowledgements of difficulties that business owners face; all of it made me feel seen. And I realised halfway through reading the book, that I could just as easily weave the same kind of web for my own business. And as I finished reading it, I realised I have been!
There are still some strands to tighten, and still more to strengthen, but I have been caught in Rachel's web for so long that it is only natural I would have been following her guidance.
Now, I have her secrets in one handy guide to put everything into place easily.
This book won't change your life, but it will simplify your approach to marketing your business by providing a simple step-by-step guide to creating content, without burning yourself out or selling a version of yourself that doesn't really represent who you are.....
WELL I wrote it so I've read it so many times I've lost count and I'm proud of it. This is an incredibly self-indulgent and biased review, and quite frankly it's because I got super curious on how the reviews worked and somehow found myself here. However, Be a Spider, Build a Web: Sticky Content Marketing for Small Businesses is definitely something I'm hoping you'll love too. :)
This is a book that I will be "currently reading" for a while as it is packed with information to help me to DIY my marketing.
I really like how the sections are set out so I can refer to the bit I am struggling with when I need it. The writing style is so warm and friendly, it is like the author is talking to me!
Definitely recommend to anyone trying to develop their digital marketing but are not at the stage to take on someone specifically for that task.

You only need to set your mind to it, focus, and use the tips she has shared across the chapters.
Having been in business herself, Rachel Klaver understands what causes a business to fail or have few clients. I like that the author was vulnerable enough to share her mistakes in her business days, as it made her writing authentic. Tales from her past are intriguing to read, and one can draw crucial business lessons from them. I also like it when the author writes about her wins and how she did influencer marketing before it was a cool thing to do. Rachel Klaver knows how to engage with her readers and is likable. Her approach to writing showcases her process for content marketing in the age of social media. Many books discuss digital marketing, but none reads like Rachel Klaver’s.

This is such a handy, easy-to-read, and practical reference guide for marketing for small businesses.
There's very little industry jargon, and where there areany jargony terms, the author explains them with simple, clear language, then demonstrates why they're important (or can safely be ignored).
Plenty of stories and examples to illustrate the principles, and lots of straightforward steps you can put into practice almost immediately. The free downloadable workbook is a really helpful companion.
I've got lots of ideas to implement already, after my very first read-through. I can see myself coming back to the book regularly to tweak and improve my marketing efforts.
This is well worth the read for business owners wanting to gain confidence and find practical and manageable tasks to up their marketing. It's full of valuable resources including links outside of the book for even more value! My hard copy book is completely graffitied with notes and post its. It's thought provoking and a great space to brain dump. I enjoyed reading it without any expectations on myself to action anything just yet, but I now know exactly where I will be heading back to for my scheduled marketing time. Thanks Rachel!
