This is a great book- less about anger management and more about long term conflict management. It is taught from a corporate world perspective so think “charm school” for the office. However there are some excellent, though complicated, processes to get to the real root of any ongoing conflicts or triggers you may be experiencing. Instead of 1-2-3 STOP, which sounds so simple and quick, the process is more like “Derive the wave equation, then write out pi to the 100,000th decimal place, sand and refinish your hardwood floors and repeat”. But that’s not as catchy.
I am unlikely to remember the difficult process underlying an event that triggers me, but I am more educated now on digging into the triggers themselves and their roots. Useful for me in addressing my anxiety issues which are plentiful these days. I think anyone can benefit from this short insightful book.
