The Liberty Solution
Present day American politics is at a historical state of divisiveness. Democrats and Republicans alike cling to their respective ideologies with a grip more firm today than yesterday. Both parties claim to only want what is best for the American people, but they ultimately fail the litmus test of whether or not their ideals align with the principles of liberty. The Liberty Solution proposes a bold rekindling of the flame of liberty while highlighting the various ways that the federal, state, and local governments usurp the natural rights belonging to each and every individual, whether they know it or are entirely unaware. Using both historical evidence, and news stories of today, Wills presents his case of grievances against the state, and explains not only how, but why these acts usurp our natural rights. This modern philosophical treatise concludes by illustrating how the world would actually look should the tree of liberty be allowed to grow without the constricting hand of the state interfering in her growth. Liberty is not merely a solution to the issues, but the solution. If liberty were allowed to thrive, we would all find ourselves in a much more desirable state of being, regardless of the political party to which one subscribes.

The Liberty Solution should be required reading for every American citizen and those wanting to become citizens. It is a modern day blueprint for freedom and liberty.
Derek displays great respect for human intelligence and sovereignty. I love this aspect of his writing. Unlike so many other authors,he respects his readers and treats them with intelligent arguments that are incredibly accessible.
I have to admit that there were several topics that, going into the book, I had very different opinions on - immigration, abortion being two of them. Derek’s arguments were not divisive in any way. Instead, he laid out clear, rational ways to think about these topics that our politicians use to divide us.
I look forward to reading anything else he writes. Do yourself a favor and read this book. Then grab 3-4 copies to give to friends. This is the type of book we should be using to help rewire a lot of misguided and highly propagandized people that are pushing for more government, more taxes, more socialism.

You will agree and disagree with this book no matter where you fall on the political spectrum. This should be required reading in high schools. Amazing book!

Poorly written. Was the book even edited? The unhinged ramblings of a very low IQ person.
