They never should have mixed business with pleasure...

Working at the French Embassy was my dream job.

Up until three weeks ago when I got a new boss.

Anton’s continued flirting goes way beyond cultural differences.

He’s a handsy, arrogant, pig and his friendship with the Ambassador means he thinks he can do whatever he likes.

I’m stuck in an impossible position.

I can’t report him without ruining my career.

And diplomatic immunity means the police won’t touch him.

So, when my friend comes up with the crazy idea of hiring a bodyguard to dissuade Anton, I have no choice but to consider it.

Logan James is a former Marine, and a pro-boxer who offers close protection services.

And after meeting him, I have no doubt he’s right for the job as my fake boyfriend.

But when Logan gets into a brawl at an Embassy party, and is arrested, my picture-perfect fake engagement turns into a perfect nightmare…

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Marlise has her dream job, working as a translator at the French Embassy and dreams of one day working in France. But everything goes wrong when she gets a new boss, suddenly the job she lived has become the job she dreads with his inappropriate behaviour she is at a loss. So when her best friend suggests hiring a bodyguard to pose as her boyfriend. Logan is perfect an ex marine but when the feelings start to become real and things become complicated, could this be more than a job to Logan?

Logan and his sister Crystal are in the process of starting up their own security/enforcer business as an ex marine and boxer he is well qualified. So when he receives a message setting out what the client needs he agrees to pose as her boyfriend. But after meeting Marlise he knows that this is going to be one of the toughest jobs he has ever undertaken especially when he meets her sleezeball boss Anton. Can Logan keep it professional and ignore the naughty desires she’s awoken in him or will he lose his temper and the girl?

This was a fantastic read and addition to the series. It was entertaining from start to finish. I highly recommend this book 4.5* read.

I really enjoyed this book. Marlise works at the French Embassy but she has a horrible boss who wont stop harassing her, it gets to the point where she fear's for her life because he wont take no for an answer. She hires Logan, an ex marine to guard her and the only way to properly do that is for him to play as her fake boyfriend. I loved how they worked together. Logan is trying to get his business of close body guard protection started and Marlise is his first client. They hit a lot of bumps and snags, they have to figure out the best way to work together, listen to each other, protect each other, and just make everything work out to keep her safe, him close, and not let the sexual tension break the boundaries of the contract. This is sort of a slow burn romance book as they try to fake being together without letting their true feelings get in the way. I really enjoyed this book, however, I thought that the ending was really quick. I wish the author would've included an extra little chapter because I'm curious what they are going to find out and what is next for them. I would definitely recommend this book, it is absolutely amazing!

Bad Bodyguard is the third book in the Bad For Me series and all I can say is Logan James can guard my body any time!!!! And Marlise is one lucky lady to have this big, bad, handsome and super sexy ex Navy Marine guarding her body.....even if all his thoughts are very much on the dirty-naughty side.
Marlise is a young professional who has gotten a job she loves at the French Embassy. But when she gets a new boss things take a very sharp turn left into unwanted attention territory. Actually her new boss, Anton, is a sleazy guy who continually harasses her even as she rebuffs him at every turn. So when her friend comes up with an idea they roll with it even if it is on the more unusual side. She hires a body guard to pose as her boyfriend. I mean what can go wrong.....right???
Logan is in the process of setting up a new body guard/protection business which his younger sister Crystal is going to run the office and clients. There is a message on the office cell by a woman looking to hire someone for her particular situation. The only problem is going to be keeping things professional when he meets Marlise as all he can think of are wanting to do very naughty things to her.
This is a fun and engaging story that is also interesting. I liked the characters, well except for Anton the lecherous boss. I always enjoy reading Lexi Hart and this is a nice addition to the series.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

A new and refreshing twist on the girl hires a fake boyfriend genre. Logan James is a former marine as well as a former Pro Boxer now turned street enforcer who with his sister is opening a close protection services agency, that is if they can find their first client. Marlise works in her dream job as an assistant and translator at the French Embassy in Cleveland, Ohio with the hopes of transitioning to a job in France later own. Everything was perfect until she was given a new boss who has been inappropriate towards her and making her life miserable so her friend suggests hiring a bodyguard to pose as her boyfriend. What could go wrong? There are some mixed messages between Marlise and Logan as they try to navigate their fake relationship and the complications that arise when it begins to feel too much like the real thing. I really enjoyed this well written story and found the characters and their interaction believable.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

Marlise works at the French Embassy. Her new boss is harassing her and she needs to find a way to get him to leave her alone. Her friend suggests she hire a boyfriend/bodyguard to try to stop him. This is the first job for Logan in bodyguard-security-boyfriend. He and his sister are just starting their security business. Marlise is desperate and hires them. This means that Logan will be spending a lot of time with Marlise. This story is about two people getting to know each other by spending so-o-o much time together in all kinds of situations. There is a slow burning attraction to each other. Marlise is being threatened, harassed by her boss and Logan hopes to be able to help. Logan ends up in jail for hitting her boss and Marlise takes charge and tries to help Logan out of trouble and get her boss into trouble. It is an entertaining, enjoyable slow burning love story.

Marlise was having trouble with her boss coming on to her at the French embassy, and felt she had no choice than to hire Logan as her bodyguard and fake boyfriend.
This was great,  a really fascinating book with a big taste of France thrown in for good measure.  I loved Logan.  He was tough, macho,  ex military,  trying to do his best out of a bad lot,  but protective and loving. Marlise was wonderful too as a character with a lot of depth to her.  This was a layered story with several interesting plot lines going at once.  I really liked that facet of the book. Lexi Hart writes amazing books with wonderful characters and interesting plots and this book certainly fitted that.  I really loved this book actually.  It pulled me in from the first page and I couldn't put it down even if I wanted to.

Marlise has been giving her all in her career at the embassy to realise her dream of moving to France to be closer to her mother and grandma, while doing the translator job she loves. But that dream is getting more difficult to hang onto when her new boss makes advances she is not welcoming and he has the means to ruin her career to get his way. After another altercation with Anton, her boss, she hires Logan to be her bodyguard/fake boyfriend and they both find out that sometimes live takes you in a different direction than you thought you wanted to go. Excellent story with all the suspense, drama, romance, steam you'll need and smiles you’ll have as Marlise and Logan negotiate their way through and will keep you entertained for a good couple of hours.

Marlise accepted her dream job at the French Embassy to sort of prepare her for moving to France. She loves her job. But when a new boss arrives, he is way out of line and makes unwanted advances and constant flirting. He touches her inappropriately. He feels he can get away with it, and could ruin her career if she objects. And if she reports him, that could also ruin her career! So after yet another disagreement with Anton, the boss, she hires Logan James to be her bodyguard and fake boyfriend. Logan is a former Marine, and a pro-boxer, and he looks like he will be perfect for the job. If only she would stop embellishing the story and making things complicated…

But when their feelings start getting mixed up, where it gets difficult to know the fake ones from the real ones, trouble is on the way, especially when Logan gets into a fight at an Embassy party protecting Marlise from Anton aggressive attack, and is arrested. How will they resolve this one, or will Logan be spending a long time in prison?

This is a fun story with a well-paced story line and humor, which is a winning combination. Grab your copy and see how it all works out.

BAD BODYGUARD is a refreshingly different idea crafting a story around the staff at the French Embassy. This particular post is in Cleveland, Ohio and my first thought was that it can’t have been a plum position for French National.

Marlisse is being harassed by her boss and hires Logan to protect her. He poses as her boyfriend and doesn’t do the greatest job being a bodyguard, but she doesn’t help much by never listening to him.

The romance was good. They kept their thoughts about each other to themselves mostly. The story kept getting more interesting as secrets primarily about Logan were revealed. It ended rather abruptly, but it was a satisfying conclusion.

Logan and his sister Crystal have just started a bodyguard agency and Marlise is their first client. She needs help from an amorous boss at the embassy who continues to make innuendos and outright sexual harassment type proposals. Logan is to be her fake boyfriend but Marlise keeps getting nervous and adding to the story so that she is now living with Logan, engaged and planning to run a 10 KM run. There is great chemistry between the two but will they eventually give in and realize they are made for each other. Love this author and she doesn't disappoint.

This was again a fantastic story by Lexi.
I love her bad series!
This is about Marlise, who works at an embassy and is being harassed by her boss, and Logan, a former Marine and boxer.
He is protecting her while being her fake boyfriend. Along the way there are some secrets to be revealed, some steamy romance scenes, some suspense and some funny conversations with her grandmother, who is a fantastic side character.
The story keeps you entertained for a couple of hours, an excellent way of spending your time!
So just read this story, you won’t regret it!

There were times I had a good giggle. A woman who had no idea what to expect in employing a protection company and where this is the first case for said company.
Marlise was being harassed by her Embassy boss and despite her requests to stop, he continued. Her friend provided a name of a personal protection company. Logan makes plans and Marlise breaks them by her improvisations causing Logan to have to come up with more plans.
A well deserved ending and an interesting fact about political rules at embassies. Well done Lexi Hart.

Beautiful romance with a background of harassment at work
I love Lexi Hart's stories, although one might be offended at the "balance ton porc" behavior of Anton's French character. In fact, he's a great really bad guy. I really liked the characters of Marlise, the American employee harassed at the French consulate, and Logan, her bodyguard/fake fiancé.
Their situation creates a difficulty between what is faked and what is real, to which is added the twists and turns and the sexual tension that grows despite the professional wall Logan tries to put up.
The story is very good, with great dialogues.

Great story! I definitely enjoyed this one about Logan and Marlise! I had a hard time putting it down because I really wanted to know how this all would end.
It’s Logan’s first job as a bodyguard and that shows. Not everything is going as smooth as it was supposed to be, and he definitely isn’t perfect. I liked that! And I loved them together.

Marlise hires Logan as her bodyguard after her boss won’t leave her alone. His sexual advances are getting worse and she is getting fearful. Logan takes a job as a security guard at the French embassy where Marlise works so he can stay close to her. She hopes that Logan being around will stop her bosses unwanted advances for good.
A romantic tale that is almost love at first contract.

I really enjoyed Bad Bodyguard. Bodyguard romance is one of my favorites of the romance genre. Logan and Marlise's story certainly did not disappoint. Marlise doesn't know what else to do when one of the French diplomats she works for at the Embassy will not stop harassing her. So with no other ideas, she hires Logan, a rough around the edges ex Marine. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. Will he be able to keep her safe and will they get their HEA? 5 stars!

This was the third book in the series of The bad boy for me. I enjoyed this story as it shows how things with diplomatic immunity can work against someone that is being harassed. Im pretty sure it is a common thing that we just do not hear about. The idea of getting a bodyguard that is an ex boxer as well as ex marine makes you want to see what happens. Things like this make you swoon for the bad boy. He does a great job of taking care of her till the night he gets into a fight at the embassy. With this new development, are these two able to get him out and get the French man taken care of? How about a HEA?

I really like this new "Bad For Me" story. It is a fun read that has intriguing plot mixing business, pleasure and security. It is a fairly short and quick read. I love the characters. Marlise and Loga are a great fit with combustible chemistry. The heat between them is scorching and hot. She has her dream job that unfortunately comes with a problem. She is talked into hiring Logan to protect her and be her fake boyfriend. However, things don't always go as planned.

Marlise works as a translator at the French Embassy in hopes it will get her to France with her family but her new boss Anton is a little too friendly so she hires a bodyguard/fake boyfriend. Logan is hot and macho so pretending to be Marlise boyfriend is not trouble at all but soon it seems they are having a hard time from the fake boyfriends feelings from the real boyfriend feelings.

This book was so good and had me hooked from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. What happens when you are being harassed by you diplomatic French boss? You hire a bodyguard and hopefully it will work out. Logan is ex marine and boxer but has issues from his past that he hasn't been able to deal or let go but can he keep Marlise safe ? I absolutely couldn't put this book down.

Hot bodyguard would be more appropriate imho!...
I won't detail the story which has been adequately covered by the blurb & previous reviews. I found it to be a seriously good story highlighting an inappropriate boss, his hardworking assistant who needed to put an end to his unsolicited attention & the hunk she hired to keep her safe. The heroine & the bodyguard had a growing undeniable attraction, could they keep it professional? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
