The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an American children's novel written by author L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W.W. Denslow, originally published by the George M. Hill Company in May 1900
A very short condensed version of the story I've known all my life. (Only 140 pages.) The story that I was familiar with is based on the movie with Judy Garland and Ray Bolger. It was interesting to see how certain details were changed from the book to the movie. While, at the same time, rewarding to read the familiar traits of the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodsman and the Cowardly Lion.
This book was okay. It wasn’t bad I just had to read it for school. If I read it on my own I definitely would have gave it a 4. It had a good plot because you know it’s the wizard of oz. It was a pretty good book. If you want a solid read this book would be good for you. (Unless you read it for school)
