This young adult mystery took me back decades to when I roamed the halls of high school. Jessica Bertrand wrote intriguing, strong characters. The ASC sign language added a nice dimension and gave a fun and learning addition to the story. I love the grandpa and granddaughter dynamics. Also, the mystery enhanced and drew me in.

I loved the action from the first page. I enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other. I must admit I cried through chapter 42. So, my friend, get tissues ready.

Jessica, good job on your debut novella.

Mystery for young people..

Story with lots of potential to be great. Set in a different country than I live in, it gave insight into the school habits outside my own comfort zone. It also had characters that suffered abuse and another that could only talk with sign language.
