An Inheritance of Monsters

Here there be monsters.

It was an offer too good to refuse: spend one month in the most haunted house in the world. When the reclusive owner of Duskwood Manor opens the door to five teams of paranormal investigators, there’s no way my team can say no.

But there are no ghosts here.

There are monsters.

They live under my bed, in my closet, and watch me from the shadows, whispering filthy visions in my ear at night.

Begging me to come with them to their world—the Void, where the monsters roam free… where they teach me what it really means to want.

Every night I disappear from the mortal world to play in theirs, swallowed by their insatiable, terrifying shadows.

Consumed by their claws and fangs.

Caressed by slick tentacles and endless, delicious hunger.

But the longer I stay in the Void, the harder it is to ignore its call.

There is a price to pay for stepping foot in this manor…

And the monsters have demanded me.

An Inheritance of Monsters is a steamy fast-burn standalone romance, with knots, bioluminescent tentacles, and three possessive monsters who will never let the heroine escape their clutches. For mature readers only.

Nemyslím si, že je to úplne zlé, ale myslím si, že je to strašne nezáživné. Okrem konkrétnych monster-scén je to pekná nuda. To dievča nemá žiadnu osobnosť, ani ciele v živote. Síce sú tam tri monštrá, ale každý sa správa rovnako a rozpráva rovnaké veci. Je to také amatérske, keď autorka nevie vytvoriť viac ako jeden charakter osobnosti. Obálka je pekná.

I really enjoyed this, it was a good read and it had the right amount of plot to spice ratio. I always hate when there is so much spice and not enough plot but there was plot, it was a good read

I adored everything having to do with the monsters and The Void. A+ work there.

As for the human characters, their interactions with each other, and the plot in general: it needed a little work, but I was still engaged and entertained.

A lot more sex and a more bombastic finale would've been preferred, but I'm still going to be coming back for more.

I loved this! The plot was interesting, though it was fairly easy to figure out Juno's big twist, and I wanted to know more. I was a bit disappointed that one of the monsters seemed to take a back seat to the other two since he was the one I was more interested in. I feel like Juno and her monsters could get another book and we'd still be learning stuff. I guess we'll see if they turn up in her cousins book.

Quick easy read that was short spicy and intriguing. Dare I call this a thriller? It’s so mysterious and the plot was engaging. There wasn’t a ton of character building between the harem, but it was enough for me. If you want a thrilling, HOT, and monstrous read this is it.
